Jashanpreet Singh, 21, is accused of causing a car crash in California, killing three people and injuring four.
Eight cars were involved in the crash.
Singh is an illegal alien from India. The Biden administration released him in 2022 after he crossed the border, pending an immigration hearing.
Singh has now been arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated after plowing his big rig into slow-moving traffic on the I-10 Freeway in San Bernardino County.
The crash, caught on dashcam video, left at least three people dead and several injured.

A witness told NBC Los Angeles he didn’t see the truck stop or swerve.
“It didn’t make any kind of maneuvers. It just went straight in,” recounted Jason Calmelat.
The Biden administration released Singh under its “alternatives to detention.”
Fox News said it “has documented where illegal immigrants released pending hearings went on to commit a crime.”

The State Department paused issuing employment visas for commercial truck drivers after Harjinder Singh allegedly killed three people after doing an illegal U-turn in Florida.
Singh entered the U.S. illegally in 2018. He told DHS he feared for his life in India and stayed.
However, then-President Donald Trump’s administration did not issue Singh a work visa.
But in 2021, former President Joe Biden’s administration gave Dingh a work permit, allowing him to obtain a license in California.
Singh received a full-term commercial driver’s license in Washington in 2023 despite not being eligible for one.
To make matters worse, in July 2024, California issued Singh a limited-term non-domiciled commercial driver’s license despite failing the English Language Proficiency assessment, answering two of 12 verbal questions, and accurately identifying only one of four highway signs.

When I first saw news of this yesterday, the very obvious lack of details about the driver made me figure that it was a hostile foreign invader. Now that is confirmed.

The illegal immigrant in Indiana who was arrested after allegedly causing a fatal semi-truck crash owned a company that took out over $35,000 in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, records show.
Borko Stankovic was driving on U.S. Highway 20 in Indiana on Wednesday, Oct. 15, when traffic came to a stop due to a Ram Sprinter turning near Douglas Drive, but the suspect didn’t appear to slow down in his semi-truck, the Portage Police Department told FOX 32.
Stankovic attempted to make a hard evasive left turn and entered opposite traffic, hitting a Subaru Crosstrek, officials said.
The semi-truck jackknifed as a result and hit the Ram Sprinter, which was pushed into a road sign. Jeffrey Eberly, 54, who was driving the Subaru, died at the scene, officials said.

Yep. Whenever there’s an odd delay in release of basic facts the odds are those facts damage one or more d/prog narratives. Perhaps it’s time for DoT to apply more pressure to gain compliance from CA in identifying and revoking all suspect CDL by:
1. Revoking ALL CA issued CDL and requiring Federally monitored retest.
2. Get the WH to ban use of CA ID for use in clearing TSA
3. Partner with willing States to refuse to recognize ALL CA DL until the problems with issuing any DL to non English speakers are proven to have undergone successful remediation.

No, you cannot punish ALL CA licensed drivers because he sloppy CA DMV clowns sell some on the side. Bes solution would be to have the scale cops, when they show “park bring papevs” to come inside and have a chat. When the guy cannot converse in understandable English, THEN pull their ticket. Let the rig stay there until the company sends a new driver, who will also be required to converse with the scale cops. When some companies begin to have their rigs parked, meaning late drops and loads stranded, THEY will pick up quickly on the rules. Else the consigners will just blacklist them. No loads, no money. Sell the rigs and get a real job.

Sart witl identiphying the agents who signed on these illegally granted A and B licenses. the records should include the NAME o the guy who signed on this guy’s ticket to drive. Then examine his other approvals, bring a sample in to retest, and see how many can pass by the rules. Should the no-pass rate come above maybe two percent, can the guy and charge him criminally
It wouldn’t punish ‘all’ CA drivers. Only those who wanted to drive outside the State of CA or those who want to clear TSA/enter a Federal facility but don’t have another ID like a Military ID or Passport.
It does seem that this proposal has gotten your attention and if implemented I suspect will quickly get the lead result CA and ordinary Citizens focused on solving their problem of issuing DL to unauthorized drivers. CA can do what they want inside CA but shouldn’t be permitted to inflict their incompetence onto the rest of us. If it takes hitting them with a 2×4 upside their noggin to get sufficient attention and to get the problems remediated quickly …so be it. Doing so will align their incentives to solve the problem.

The dash cam video is horrific. The crash victim’s estate need to sue California into the stone age and the trucking company into receivership. Since the accident was on an Interstate highway, perhaps the Feds can do the legally equivalent of beating California about the head & shoulders for good measure. The driver needs to serve time for murder and then be deported.
