Former UMass Amherst Student Charged for Allegedly Filming Women in Dorm Showers

“There were seven incidents at three dorms across two days in September of last year, according to court documents.”

This was like a central plot point to half a dozen 1980s comedy movies. It is still a crime, though.

MassLive reports:

Ex-UMass Amherst student-entrepreneur charged with filming women in dorm showers

A University of Massachusetts Amherst dropout, recently recognized by local news outlets for making close to half a million dollars through his business, is battling charges that he filmed eight women without their consent in dormitory showers last year.

Josiah Crosier, 23, of Colrain, is due back in court soon following his December 2024 arrest for allegedly taking photographs and videos of multiple fellow students while the women showered that fall. There were seven incidents at three dorms across two days in September of last year, according to court documents.

Crosier, according to Melinda Rose, spokesperson for the university, is no longer a student at UMass Amherst. While enrolled, he was studying business and entrepreneurial economics, according to his LinkedIn profile. He was due to graduate in June 2026. It is not clear if he is enrolled in another university.

Rose said she did not have any additional information on whether Crosier had been allowed on campus after his arrest; whether the university had received any complaints about him or his business working with Student Painters; or what academic actions the university took against Crosier after his arrest, if any.

Crosier made $400,000 this summer through the Student Painters program at Young Entrepreneurs Across America, according to the organization.

A spokesperson for the organization was not immediately reachable for comment.

Both the Greenfield Recorder and WWLP 22News have recognized Crosier for his business acumen. Most recently, Crosier served as the New England field adviser for Student Painters. WWLP also ran a story on the alleged crimes a few days after it noted his business success.

Why are they complaining? Umass Amherst is filled to overflowing with progressive students. Progressive women love to give it up. Is it because they weren’t paid like they are on OnlyFans? Maybe it was transwoman who complained.

Look Crosier was probably taking the photos as part of a business and entrepreneurial economics course. As such it was school work and so he shouldn’t have been arrested in the first place.
