Whoopi: Democrats Should Have Stayed Quiet About Biden

Earlier this week on The View, co-host Whoopi Goldberg scolded fellow Democrats for publicly airing concerns about Joe Biden’s obvious decline, insisting they should have “kept their mouths shut” instead of acknowledging reality.
Goldberg argued that Biden’s fitness for office should have been handled behind closed doors:
“If the Democrats had kept their mouths shut and looked like, hold on, hear what I’m saying. If they had kept their mouths shut and took care of this in-house, as opposed to making it a public spectacle, I think people would have had a better feel about it,” Goldberg said.
She continued by dismissing criticisms of Biden’s failed reelection effort, suggesting the problem wasn’t his candidacy but the public discussion of his obvious weakness:
“Listen, you know, people love to go back and say, what we should have done. We should have run a better campaign. We should have run a better campaign. People wanted to hear what they heard. They got what they wanted. I don’t understand why we got to re litigate it. It happened, and now we’re all sitting in it, and it’s everybody’s fault,” Goldberg said.
Rather than grappling with Biden’s disastrous decision to run again, Goldberg bizarrely claimed the “real” problem was sexism:
“The elephant in the room is that this country will not elect a woman. That’s the real body,” she declared.
Her co-host Joy Behar echoed that sentiment, blaming voters’ supposed sexism for the Democrats’ predicament. According to Behar, America would “never elect a woman,” a sweeping excuse that sidesteps Democrats’ own failures.
The exchange came as Kamala Harris’ new book excerpt reignited debate about Biden’s reckless 2024 campaign. Harris blasted Biden’s decision to run again as “reckless” and slammed his White House communications team for leaving her politically exposed.
What viewers saw was a telling spectacle: Goldberg attacking her own party for being honest with voters, and Behar hiding behind identity politics. Both refused to confront the plain truth: Democrats propped up an unfit candidate, and the country saw it.

Biden’s cognitive deficits long preceded his White House years and he was noticeably suffering from dementia when he ran in 2020, never mind his complete lock up in the 2024 debate with Trump.
As to Harris, she was no better. She is the human version of the refrigerator magnet game – just a jumble of words that make absolutely no sense. So, to elect her president would be a validation that DEI is the policy of our nation. That’s to say nothing of the train wreck that she selected as her running mate. What a loon!

The debates only firmed up what was obvious to me as an outsider (I’m British), and whatever my view of Biden’s politics, on a personal level I thought it was appallingly cruel treatment of an old man struggling.
I suspect many Americans at least questioned it. Even compared to the 2020 Biden there was an obvious decline, and compared to the 2016 version it’s a joke.
She seems to have forgotten the vote levels Harris got when she stood as the candidate for 2020, which were terrible.

Well now, let’s examine some of that. For sexism to be the reason Harris lost in the ’24 general then it would also be the reason she didn’t crack 5% in the ’20 d/prog primary.
As for handling Biden ‘in house’…he stepped onto the debate stage and made it very clear to everyone who wasn’t personally invested in his campaign that he was lost, bewildered, rambling, spouting nonsense. So much so that even his legacy media allies/enablers stopped carrying his water. Meanwhile the rest of us had been clued in to his obvious infirmity/incapacity since ’20. Not much realistic option to keep it ‘hidden’ after the debate. That Goldberg would suggest that the proper course was to overlook an incompetent POTUS and try to hide it for partisan political advantage to get Biden re-elected shows how flipping stupid she is.

But then in public she started reading from her own script rather than using some movie scriptwriter’s words. If in real life X was an idiot or Y slept around or Z had a drinking problem – they could still make a nice living as a popular movie star – despite themselves.
Ms. Goldberg is a fabulist. She can easily and convincingly say something made up and sell it to her fans. Which OC can be quite a useful trait for an actor to have. I first realized this when she – on The View BTW – declared to her personal knowledge that Jill Biden was a “great” physician. She is…… technically….. a doctor. But as a more intelligent, knowledgeable, and truthful Ms. Goldberg might put it = NOT a “doctor” doctor. Her doctorate is not a medical one and she’s rightly been made fun of being pretentious enuf to repeatedly insist that she be addressed as “Doctor Biden” outside her academic field. Whoopi – not knowing the facts – knee jerked an untrue defense instead of any possible true one. It’s sort of her “goto” on The View.

Caryn Johnson wasn’t satisfied that when Joe Biden ran in 2020 they successfully kept the fact that doctors had scooped gray matter out of his head TWICE a secret.

Maybe it is the Republicans that kept that “secret”? It has been no secret that Biden had two brain surgeries for aneurysms in 1988, one of which had burst. In fact, I have been saying for years that Biden may not have “garden-variety” dementia or senility but the long term consequences of those aneurysms and brain surgeries. They are a big deal, which many people do not survive, including my brother-in-law, at age 35.
I mentioned it every chance I got. I thought it was particularly important. I was truly amazed that it never got any airing. Most people had no idea that the retard had had brain surgery, let alone two of them.

What is she blathering on about. The Democrats did try to keep it quiet. They didn’t let him in front of the public in any venue that wasn’t controlled down to the last step. They gave him notes and teleprompters and preloaded questions.
Then they got to a place where they had to make a move on the debates.
Normally, the candidates don’t meet for debates until after the conventions officially nominate them. They new they would have to have a debate. They knew Ol’ Joe wasn’t up to debating. so they challenged Trump to an early debate hoping he would decline as he had declined to debate during the Republican primary season. Trump jumped at the chance knowing if he turned down their two proposed dates Joe would never debate him. The reason they asked for June was specifically so if/when the drugs they used to get him vaguely coherent failed and he was exposed as very senile they would have time to pick a new nominee.
Fortunately for all of us, they couldn’t pick anyone but Kamala and hold on to the black female demographic. Without near 100% support from that demo they can not win even if they cheat to the max. They were also unable to cheat to the max in 2024 because they had done that in 2020 and too many people were watching in 2024.
