ANTIFA has been a menace for almost a decade.
President Donald Trump announced he has designated ANTIFA as a major terrorist organization.
Trump wrote on Truth Social:
I am pleased to inform our many U.S.A. Patriots that I am designating ANTIFA, A SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER, AS A MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION. I will also be strongly recommending that those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

ANTIFA has been a menace for almost a decade. It has a dominant presence in Portland, OR, where members have attacked journalist Andy Ngo.
Ngo has been the leading voice against ANTIFA, even penning a best seller.
However, the organization is leaderless and does not have a centralized structure.
Trump’s decision comes after Charlie Kirk’s assassination committed by an alleged leftist who wrote, “Hey fascist! Catch!” on the bullets.

I remember reading ANTIFA magazine where they described how they took on the cops. The. Had a large number of demonstrators who got up in their faces. The behind the they had rock/brick throwers who lobed rocks etc over the demonstrators at the cops. I wish that I had been their with a rifle to take out the rock throwers in self defense of others.

The various alphabet agencies already make heavy use of such software. They use it to follow Catholics who like Latin mass, and they follow parents who speak up at school board meetings.

The point I was trying to make is that the “CIA can only look outward” issue could be sidestepped by just having some private entity do the analysis. You are no doubt correct. Soros (rhymes with tzures) is certainly a large contributor, but others I could think of are the Ford Foundation, MacArthur Fund, the SPLC, etc.
Lest the right go to far I checked government criteria. Domestic terrorism “ideologically driven crimes committed by individuals in the United States that are intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population or influence the policy or conduct of a government”. Antifa certainly meets that criteria, Time to stock up on some more popcorn as this plays out.

Nice to see the POTUS has done so but I am unclear what this ‘designation’ means in practice. I don’t see what has changed in terms of authority of Federal LEO to investigate, conduct surveillance, arrest or otherwise take action from prior to the announcement.

It’s really about time, and this will have ripples as ANTIFA are the same people as BLM who are the same people as SJP etc etc. If there’s violence on your college campus you can likely trace it back to “organizers,” connected to ANTIFA or promoting their materials and education. Ngo documented all of this in his masterful book and how organized, secretive and insidious they are in terms of their reach, funding and “training.” This why many organizations refused to stock Ngo’s book, such as the disgusting bookshop.com, because they are “sympathetic” to ANTIFA and want to suppress Ngo’s investigation and discredit it.
He ought to have gotten Pulitzers. What he does is real reporting. It’ll never happen though.

The biggest obstacle to nailing Antifa is that the FBI probably hasn’t gotten a single undercover agent into the organization. Antifa is constantly on guard against possible informers. Anyone they caught working undercover they would kill.
It won’t be any easier getting one Antifa member to testify against others.
Use the tactics they used on the Mafia. Find a couple of low level idiots that they have overwhelming evidence against and offer them a deal. Become an informer and spend little or no time in prison or spend decades in Federal prison.

Just do a license plate scan on I5 between Eugene and Portland before and after each protest, and correlate with time stamps on cell phones. That will get you a 90% hit rate on the first sweep. This isn’t a case of them being clever, but rather the politicians being sympathizers. It would not surprise me if “case zero” of TDS was back traced to my neighborhood.
