Eric Adams Drops Out of New York City Mayoral Race
Adams did not endorse any other candidate.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that he has dropped out the mayoral race, according to The New York Post.

The bombshell move comes after weeks of back-and-forth over whether Adams would bow out of the race, in which he is polling fourth, far behind frontrunner Mamdani, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and also, Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa.
“It’s been an honor to be your mayor,” Adams said in a video announcement, according to a transcript obtained by The Post, touting his victories over his first term.
“Although our successes… I know I cannot continue my campaign,” he said.
“I strongly encourage who ever takes over City Hall to continue what we’ve done.”
Adams did not endorse any of the other candidates, and even took subtle swipes at Mamdani and Cuomo — issuing a warning about local government being used to launder radical ideals and urging voters not to elect a mayor who’s flip-flopped on the issues.
“I want to be clear, although this is the end of my campaign, this will not be the end of my public service,” he said.
“I will keep fighting for our city no matter what because I am a New Yorker.”
Hizzoner had been facing increasing pressure to drop his independent re-election bid, especially after President Trump’s Department of Justice dismissed his controversial federal corruption case.
“Many are skeptical of me after my historical indictment,” he admitted in the video.

It says something (and not in a nice way) about the Dem party in NY that they have a frothing Leftist loon headed for the Mayor’s office and the other has-run candidates can’t organize a counter. Adams has been…um…about as sane a Dem as there is in this race. The Biden admin saw him as a long-term threat or they never would have authorized the baseless charges against him
Adams had red pills kept coming at him like rubber bullets.
No way Democrats are going to let someone who has seen reality carry their banner.
To be honest, I suspect that both Cuomo and Adams running was a deliberate plan by the DNC to split the vote so that Mamdani would definitely win. While I myself would prefer Sliwa to win, this is NYC and under our current political dispensation, such is impossible.
By now, Mamdani is guaranteed winning and Adams is saving his [and his donors’ money. I still recommend that any free people in the Peoples Oblast of New York City get out to what remains of America before Mamdani takes office.

And so both parties move farther towards their poles. Mamdami will win now obviously.
New York City will have until the 2028 Presidential Election to show the American people how well leftist, socialist, policies meet the needs of the people. It should be both interesting and educatiknal!

This is something to be praised, Eric Adams have up something dear to him (his prospect however dim of re-election) in order to stave of the red hydra.
Silwa should learn from the example and do the same.
We all know the flaws of Andrew Cuomo but lets face reality that Silwa is going nowhere, and the only question was if Cuomo or Adams had a better shot and with Adams gone…
No, he didn’t. He has stopped actively campaigning because he ran out of money to do it with. “The constant media speculation about my future and the Campaign Finance Board’s decision to withhold millions of dollars have undermined my ability to raise the funds needed for a serious campaign.”
His name remains on the ballot.
Adams is the worst mayor in the history of NYC. But he will soon lose that legacy to Zoomy Mommydadi.
