Report: Elite LAPD Officers Pulled Off Cases for Kamala Harris Security
Vice presidents receive six months of Secret Service protection after they leave office. Trump revoked Harris’s on August 29.
FOX 11 Los Angeles reported that elite officers from the police department have been pulled off cases to provide 24/7 security for former Vice President Kamala Harris.

President Donald Trump axed Harris’s Secret Service protection last month. He extended protection for former President Joe Biden.
When we reached out to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass for comment, Bass’ office responded with a statement accusing Trump of “political retaliation.” Governor Gavin Newsom, who is in discussions to provide California Highway Patrol protection to Harris, is quoted as saying that “the safety of our public officials should never be subject to erratic, vindictive political impulses.”
Former vice presidents usually get six months of Secret Service protection after leaving office. Harris’ had been extended to July 2026 by Biden until Trump canceled it last week. The decision comes as Harris is about to begin a book tour for her memoir, with involves making 15 stops around the world.
Harris was the subject of elevated threat levels while she was vice president, but The Associated Press reports that recent threat intelligence assessments by the Secret Service found no credible threats.
Yeah, as the report stated, vice presidents receive six months of Secret Service protection after they leave office.
But can’t Harris pay for private security? Why must it be LAPD officers?
I’m going to guess Harris or whoever makes the decision chose this route to make Trump look bad.

As a now-privte citizen she is no more entitled to police protection than you or I; what a travesty.
Besides that, the Supreme Court ruled that police are under no obligation to protect “civilians “.
This is yet another example of what we’d have to go through if this incompetent was President. She had not planned ahead for private security, she was unable to hire private security when her US Secret Service protection expired, so somebody else (Bass in this case) had to scramble to cover for her lack of planning and failed organizational skills. Trump was not the only one to dodge a bullet with this election. We all did, libs and conservatives.

Whatever. What this is even news is beyond me. If the elected officials of Los Angeles and the citizens of the city feel that this is an appropriate use of fourteen “elite Metro Officers” then who are we to question that decision. If Los Angeles they want to waste valuable taxpayer money and human resources in this manner, I’m fine with it. But then again, I don’t live in Los Angeles nor plan to ever live there so there’s that. Let the LA citizens complain if they want. But I doubt they will.

People are pretty much cemented in on their opinions at this point.
And if people want to be angry about Harris losing her (utterly unnecessary) security detail, they can take it up with their congressman. They’re the ones that wrote the law, not Trump.

Why would anyone on the right want to harm Kamala? We want her to run in 2028 to bleed Democrat donors with nothing to show for it.
Rule of thumb: if you announce a public appearance and less than 10 people who are not being paid show up, you don’t need 24/7 security.

I don’t care. If the people of Los Angeles are dumb enough to elect Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass then they deserve all the adverse consequences of the idiotic decisions made by those two clowns.
If Kamala really needs that much protection, it must be from Democrats who blame her for her loss to Trump.
Part of the reason for this is that there is a special allocation of funds from the LA budget for this. Most of it is going to get siphoned off by the operational and political chain of command there. The more officers assigned away from protecting the public [not that they are really ever protected], the larger the budget allocation, and the more that can be siphoned off.

We should talk the producers of American Ninja to do a special edition, where these “elite LA officers” square off against the “elite Secret Service officers” who protected Trump on the day he got shot. The beauty of the show will be that no matter which team wins, some powerful Democrat will be humbled.
