Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin Pausing Abortions
Where are the rest of the Planned Parenthood clinics in the other 49 states? More of this, please!
Save. All. The. Babies.
Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin will pause abortions starting on October 1 to comply with the Big Beautiful Bill, which deprives the abortion mill of Medicaid funding if it performs abortions.
The organization has sued President Donald Trump’s administration, claiming “it knows Congress and Trump specifically went after it because the provision applies to nonprofit organizations that made $800,000 or more from Medicaid payments in 2023.”
From The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
Officials with the organization stressed that the move is a temporary hold while the issue works its way through the courts and providers work to determine how to continue services within the current legal landscape.
In the days leading up to Sept. 30, the organization is coordinating with providers throughout Wisconsin and working to see as many patients as possible before the federal law takes effect, ensuring patients are “referred swiftly and receive timely, compassionate care with as little delay as possible.”
“Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is — and always will be — focused on putting our patients first. Our commitment is unwavering: Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin will continue to provide the full spectrum of reproductive health care — including abortion — as soon as we are able to,” Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin president and CEO Tanya Atkinson said in a statement. “In the meantime, we are pursuing every available option — through the courts, through operations, and civic engagement.”
The 1973 Hyde Amendment does not allow clinics to use federal money to pay for most abortions.
But this isn’t just about abortion. We don’t want to fund Planned Parenthood at all.
Only three of Wisconsin’s 24 Planned Parenthood clinics provide abortions.

““Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is — and always will be — focused on putting our patients first.”….. and the “other patient” … dead…last.
The irony is that “Planned Parenthood” does not “plan” on any of their customers becoming parents—which is why people go there in the first place—to avoid becoming parents.
The planned parenthood in Morristown NJ, in the 70s, had a sign “Entrance in Rear.”
Obviously the fix is contracting out, to avoid hitting the Medicaid barrier.
A finders fee is cold comfort to an organization that grew fat on providing the whole enchilada and then selling the aftermath on the spare parts market.
The Chicago press expects overflow of work for Illinois abortion mills to help Wisconsin mothers kill their babies.
Gov Toilets love mothers who kill their offspring.
Normal operation of an IUD.
No
An IUD works by preventing sperm and eggs from meeting, using two main methods: hormonal or copper. Hormonal IUDs release progestin, which thickens cervical mucus to block sperm and thins the uterine lining to prevent implantation, sometimes stopping ovulation. Copper IUDs, on the other hand, release copper ions that are toxic to sperm, creating an environment hostile to fertilization and preventing the sperm from reaching the egg.
I liked the line in Juno (2007), “I’m calling to procure a hasty abortion.”
In Alabama the PP clinics and other abortion mill clinics mostly shut down completely b/c abortion are illegal whether by surgical procedure, through ‘medication’ to include mail order ‘tele-health’ mifepristone. Medical providers performing an abortion can get 10 years to life. There’s a handful of clinics (3 or 4) that rebranded to provide birth control mostly in college towns to students who don’t want to go through their Parent’s insurance or otherwise let their Parents know they are taking BC.
Wait till your number is called.
Interesting that such an in-demand service can’t find anybody that’s actually willing to pay for it and expects the government to cover the costs
When a woman receives welfare, the father is required to pay child support. If said father is arrears on child support, the court may see fit to incarcerate the “deadbeat dad” while also keeping the child support in arrears, and adding the unpaid child support while incarcerated to those arrears.
Or, the court garnishes the wages.
So, if women insist on getting pregnant, and obtaining Medicaid to pay for it, perhaps the father should be required to pay for it. Or reimburse the state for the expense.
Or maybe, women just need to not use abortion as a form of B/C by default.
Alternatively we make changes to our Family Court and Family Law to reflect the reality of modern society.
1. Mandatory Paternity test at birth before a Father’s name can be placed on the Birth Certificate.
2. Out of wedlock births – no child support obligation. Use societal pressure for ‘shotgun wedding’ and/or refraining from unprotected premarital sexual activity by the party with the most risk.
3. Child custody in divorce should begin with a presumption of 50/50 physical and legal custody. Kentucky did so and the divorce rate dropped by 25%.
4. Allow ‘no fault’ divorce but no alimony awarded and automatic 50/50 custody.
5. Allow alimony for ‘traditional’ reasons for divorce; infidelity, physical abuse and so on. Limited to 36 months of payments.
6. Require all child support payments be made to the CT by both Parents based on their % of the formula for dispersal based on receipts of allowable payments made. No more ‘honor system’.
