Man Who Threatened Jewish Kids and Parents at Michigan Synagogue Sentenced on Federal Gun Charges

“‘Your Jew tactics will only backfire on you, you have no place on this earth, Jew [expletive], Jew mother [expletives]. A storm is coming to wipe you all out of our lives,’”

A man from Dearborn, Michigan, named Hassan Chokr, who threatened Jewish children and their parents in the parking lot of a synagogue in 2022, was sentenced to almost three years in prison this week on federal gun charges.

One has to wonder what kind of person is comfortable threatening small children in such a setting.

CBS News reports:

Dearborn man accused of threatening kids, parents at synagogue sentenced for gun crime

A Dearborn man accused of making antisemitic threats outside of an Oakland County synagogue has been sentenced for illegally possessing firearms, federal officials said.

Hassan Chokr, 38, was sentenced Wednesday to 34 months in prison. Chokr pleaded guilty in May to being a felon in possession of a firearm after possessing multiple firearms inside a gun store.

On the morning of Dec. 2, 2022, Chokr is accused of making racist and antisemitic threats to parents, children and security personnel at a parking lot at Temple Beth El in Bloomfield Hills.

After he was asked to leave the property, federal prosecutors say Chokr went to a gun store in Dearborn and attempted to buy three firearms. While at the store, investigators say Chokr held all three guns and “at times pointed it and pulled the trigger.”

Federal authorities say Chokr is a convicted felon and is accused of lying about his eligibility to possess firearms. While waiting for the results of a background check, prosecutors allege Chokr said he would “even the score” and use the guns for “God’s wrath.” The store denied Chokr’s firearms purchase following the background check.

Mr. Chokr obviously has some rage issues.

The New York Post has more:

While awaiting the results of a background check during the firearms purchase, Chokr stated “It ain’t a fair fight out here” and that he was “going to even the score” and “even the playing field real soon brothers, real soon,” according to court documents.

The gun store owner also overheard Chokr say that he intended to use the weapons for “God’s wrath.”

The federal background check detected the felonies, and he was denied the purchase…

Prosecutors previously said Chokr had “posted videos and statements on Instagram where he talks about buying guns.”

One of the posts said “‘Your Jew tactics will only backfire on you, you have no place on this earth, Jew [expletive], Jew mother [expletives]. A storm is coming to wipe you all out of our lives,’” according to prosecutors.

Do the college students protesting Israel realize that this is the ideology they’re aligned with?

lefty normally drops the weapons charges as they love their troops to have the ability to legally purchase weapons

that way when the pos uses the weapons in the inevitable attacks

lefty can say

look…legally purchased..we must do something about that

“Chokr pleaded guilty in May to being a felon in possession of a firearm after possessing multiple firearms inside a gun store.”

A lesson for all who read. You don’t have to “own” them — you merely have to touch them.

Show me the equivalent law for teddy bears.

He will be too young when he gets out.

Under the laws of the United States:

Guilty. Spend a few years in prison.

Under sharia law:

Well done, faithful servant.

Make no mistake: Chokr is not an outlier amongst his cohort.

Where is the state-level attempted murder charge? The threat was conveyed. He goes to acquire a gun. He voiced intent.

All the elements are there. So when is the indictment going to be handed down?

For a moment, mistook him for the mayor.

3 years is what you give someone who wont pay their $6k worth of traffic tickets

this bucket o sh

should have ben given 20 years min

He sounds like a solid blue voter.

“He could have faced up to 15 years in prison.”

So why did he get a mere three? After insulting the Jewish judge who determines his sentence. He threatened Jewish children. Multiple offender. Clearly a menace to society in general. Even 15 years would not have been enough, What is it with my fellow Jews? Reluctant to fight. When your government won’t protect you, then it’s time for vigilante justice. I’ll bet that would get a stiff sentence from any judge. Are we going the way of Europe in surrendering to Islam?

I have a feeling that the judge being a lib herself, probablly didn’t want to be labeled a vengeance seeking judge. The J6 judges went the other way and extended sentences for the defendants if they were not respecful enough in court. I too am wondering why he only got three years. Isn’t there a threat for violence in there too?

This was a plea deal and a three year term is better than none but this seems way too lenient a sentence.

‘Michigan man’. No, more like ‘deport his wretched azz back to where he came from’ man.

Then, stop importing these people. Stop importing these people. Stop importing these people.

The solution is pretty obvious: stop importing these people.

Something tells me “Dearborn man” will soon overtake “Florida man.”

FFLs can refuse to sell to anyone they suspect may be a person prohibited from owning a firearm, or who may have lied on the paperwork.

Muslims practice taqiyya, which authorizes deceit in the furtherance of Islam and for the benefit of Muslims with respect to kafir. I think a firearms dealer may be within his rights to deny firearms to Muslims because their religion authorizes and encourages them to lie. As an FFL, required to use his own judgment concerning to whom he sells firearms (and to whom he does not), he could even argue that failure to deny Muslims firearms when they may be practicing taqiyya could jeopardize his license. (FFLs have lost their licenses for exercising poor judgment when they permit sales to prohibited persons, but not for exercising poor judgment that denies someone a firearm inappropriately.) ATF rules may inadvertently permit discrimination based on religion because Islam identifies itself as a religion that encourages its followers to lie, and liars can’t be trusted to fill out ATF forms honestly and accurately. Indeed, a retailer may only discriminate as the law permits or requires, and the law does permit some forms of discrimination – based on age, for example – in the sale of certain articles. Therefore there is precedent to use a usually off-limits metric – age – as the determinant of whether or not a legal transaction is permitted. Why can’t that metric be “religion” when its followers practice deceit as a function of their belief system?

Because Islam authorizes deceit, the dealer can’t know which Muslims are lying and which are not, so, to be safe, he denies them all. You know, if it saves just one life and all that.

The dealer in this story could almost certainly have denied the sale on the customer’s comments alone.

No need to deny based on religion. There’s plenty of other indicators of someone acting ‘hinky’ and as in this case the background came back denying the sale. Besides that he’d end up with a civil rights suit for denying based on religious affiliation.

I’m a FFL-SOT. You’re correct about a FFL being able to stop a firearms transaction.
At a recent BATFE seminar, they stated dealers can do it based on a court case United States vs Jackson 1989.
