Disney caved.
The company announced it will bring back Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday after pulling the show over his comments about Charlie Kirk.
Disney said:
Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” the company said Monday. “It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.
Kimmel claimed the man charged with assassinating Charlie Kirk belonged to MAGA and belonged on the right, despite the evidence proving otherwise.
The left screamed and cried, insisting Disney pulled Kimmel due to pressure from the FCC.
Of course, that turned out not to be true. It seems the good old market worked its magic.
The powers that be told Kimmel to tone down the rhetoric.
Kimmel said he would double down and “fan the flames with the MAGA fan base.”
