Disney Bringing Back Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday After ‘Thoughtful Conversations’
Kimmel claimed the man charged with assassinating Charlie Kirk belonged to MAGA and belonged on the right, despite the evidence proving otherwise.
Disney caved.
The company announced it will bring back Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday after pulling the show over his comments about Charlie Kirk.
Disney said:
Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” the company said Monday. “It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.

Kimmel claimed the man charged with assassinating Charlie Kirk belonged to MAGA and belonged on the right, despite the evidence proving otherwise.
The left screamed and cried, insisting Disney pulled Kimmel due to pressure from the FCC.
Of course, that turned out not to be true. It seems the good old market worked its magic.
- ABC station owners told Disney about their concerns with the comments
- Advertisers called in about the comments
- Nexstar and Sinclair threatened to preempt the show
The powers that be told Kimmel to tone down the rhetoric.
Kimmel said he would double down and “fan the flames with the MAGA fan base.”

Comments
I’m sure the viewer of his program will be very happy.
Yes, Mrs Kimmel is excited!
She probably talked to his insurance agent
Zohran Mamdani is excited to see his look alike back in the news.
Thoughts and Prayers to Jimmy Kimmel. Thoughts and Prayers.
Sorry, my thoughts and prayers are reserved for Charlie Kirk and his family.
I just flushed what I have for Sleazy Kimmel.
This show, and Disney, need to be shunned.
I’m almost certain the “t-and-p” gesture was made in jest.
They might be for one night as he boasts he will double down. However, of he does tone down the rhetoric his already small audience will evaporate and he will be off the air.
Why not? Disney IS all about a fantasy.
The “fantasy” they are pushing is agitprop.
“thoughtful conversations”
LOL. Jimmy needs to hire these PR flaks for his joke writers.
He needs to add a segment labeled “thoughtful conversations” too.
Hell, the entire show could now be classified as “stupid pet tricks.” (HT David Letterman.)
Then again, perhaps the board’s actions would be better considered “stupid pet tricks.”
Kimmel’s a turd that keeps on hanging around no matter how many times you try to flush him away, so he’s a sure winner for the “Will It Float?” segment.
How about resurrecting Al Franken’s skit “Deep Thoughts, with Jack Handey.”
Kimmel is just lying, saying anything, to get reinstated, and leftist Disney will fall for it.
I bet Colbert is mildly annoyed….
That is where I got the idea from. Just changed the name.
Let’s see if he tones done his hateful, inciteful rhetoric? Could be a very short come back 🤷♂️
I hope he comes out on fire and just makes Disney look like fools for bringing him back. Probably won’t happen but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
They brought him back because they believe they retaken the narrative by painting Kirk as a right wing extremist and a Nazi who needed to be permanently ended. They still don’t get it and I hope they lose a shitload of money.
It will probably be some highly scripted, tear jerking moment that will fade faster than the left’s “coming together” and “let’s have conversations” screed.
Boycott it and any advertisement
I’d say boycott but most of us probably don’t watch the drek Disney/ABC produces anyways.
The problem disney has is their “talent” (and I use the term loosely) was complaining. No talent including directors/producers than no shows. This is why they are bring him back,
The other problem disney has is they just enabled him to be even worse and he will be,
ESPN would like a word. Disney also owns National Geographic, 20th Century (Fox), Touchstone Pictures, (Fox) Search Light Pictures, Hulu streaming service.
Lots of TV revenue from ESPN (Disney) flows to big time College sports programs. SEC and ACC in particular.
Coprophagia is very rare in humans. The percentage of people who engage in it is roughly equal to the portion of the population who find Jimmy Kimmel to be funny. A coincidence? I think not!
But if you add the people who suffer from pica, you can beat Jimmy’s ratings.
Do we know who buys advertising time for Kimmel’s show?
Hard to boycott something no one watches. Then again, boycotting something you have nothing to do with is a fairly empty gesture reserved for virtue signaling
Jimmy Kimmel and “ thoughtful conversations”?
😂😂😂😂
Hold on…
🤣🤣🤣🤣
*gasp*
Oh, my. If that isn’t an oxymoron for the ages.
Here’s my take: Kimmel’s program will not be renewed. It can’t be. They’re losing money faster than Biden’s lame duck EPA.
This is nothing more than a face saving move on the part of the leftists at Disney who clearly see that they (bleep) up.
Thoughtful conversations…
Give me a break.
Presuming that Disney/ABC is going to make a rational business decision based on P&L is giving them WAY too much credit. They’re probably not. Why do I say that? Look at how they’ve treated the most valuable IP in the history of entertainment IP; Star Wars, Marvel & Indiana Jones were worth tens-of-billions of dollars, as close as a license to print money as any company can legally get. What did they do with that IP? They destroyed it, alienating fans and paying customers in the process. Year after year of flop after flop they never adjusted their formula and returned to the formula for success those franchises were built on. Instead, they leaned even more heavily into ‘The Message.’
It doesn’t make any sense whatsoever because this is not how a Board of Directors would behave. But then, you realize the shareholders of Disney aren’t investors. They’re advocates. They’ve been able to beat back rather anemic shareholder revolts because the big institutional investors don’t want an economic return on their investment. They want a political return. This is the way agitprop works. Jimmy Kimmel understands the assignment. He’s not there to return economic value for shareholders. He’s there to advance their political message.
The only reason Colbert got fired is because his employer was purchased by a company that cares more about the bottom line than it does about political agendas. Until that changes at Disney, Kimmel is going to be just fine.
Point conceded.
You’ve Kirked me!
😆
Some Disney executives f children.
Please censor this.
But like a snark comment made in front of jurors, you can’t unring the bell. You can’t unsee the unseen. You can’t unhear what you heard.
Some Disney executive f children.
I think it’s just another Budweiser decision. But then I probably watched Kimmel about three minutes a year anyway.
The left’s new Messiah. Glad we can watch as the hate goes on and turns off the rest of America.
Doing this the day after the tribute for Charlie Kirk is pure gold. If he has anything negative to say about it, as he eventually surely will, The Mouse House will have a highly visible excuse to can him permanently. Can’t wait.
.
Yes, it’s possible Disney handed Kimmel the rope by which he will hang himself. This is not a low-probably event, as the Left has a tendency to overplay its hand.
Let it be known that I will continue to watch Kimmel with the same love I have always had for his show!
Which is zero.
Disney probably did more for Kimmel’s ratings by canceling and bringing him back than any joke Kimmel has ever told. People will watch to see what the fuss was about.
See also: Streisand effect.
Censorship rarely truly censors views. It usually just calls attention to it.
I agree that the left will all “show up” to watch Kimmel, to virtue signal against the crowds that showed up to honor Charlie.
And the left will do this for about three minutes, just like they donated to CPB.
Disney bends the knee to the mob. What is the current subscription price? $1.99/MO and falling??? Go woke, go…
Great! I can’t wait to not watch him.
After many hours of imagineering Disney has announced they’ve chosen a new dummy for the Test Track.
After the barrier test of customer resistance—will Jimmy Kimmel be Alive after two shows?
A brief period of virtue signalling, followed by a return to business as usual.
Never seen his show. Hd looks like a smarmy schmuck. Honestly, who gives a crap? Let him continue to giggle with his very stupid audience.
I can never hear the name Jimmy Kimmel without having myself another snicker over his bedwetting (ex) girlfriend. Who, by the way, is still much funnier than him (“Greg The Bunny”).
Done trying to reason with them. We now need to thin them out.
They’re bringing him back thanks to the terrorist threats from the left. Kimmel will continue to lie and disseminate left wing propaganda. The left never learns.
Let Alex Jones ABC and have from fun.
I don’t see any mention of the affiliates that were boycotting it. Maybe I missed it. Very possible since I don’t really care.
NOW it’s time for Carr and the FCC to have a look at this show and the licensed entities that run it against the public interest.
Sinclair announced they will preempt Kimmel. Nexstar hasn’t announced yet. FWIW the combination of those two is roughly 40% of US market share so a big chunk of ad revenue lost.
I, for one, can’t wait to see Jimmy Kimmel cry again. I’ll probably see it on X of course.
Good. If the FCC lobbied to get him out, put him in.
There’s lots of material to mock in the Kirk memorial, if he has any decent writers, so he could be off to a spectacular start.
Do you belong to the Westboro Baptist Church by chance? You and they have so much in common.
Psychopathic ideation on display.
“There’s lots of material to mock in the Kirk memorial, if he has any decent writers, so he could be off to a spectacular start.”
At first glance, this is your usual Asperger-y retardo take.
But yes, I hope he DOES continue to mock Kirk and/or his memorial. This will force more ABC affiliates to drop his show, drive more people to boycott Disney, and THIS time Kimmel won’t survive.
The rest of your post is just typical Hardin bullshit. One day that stupid dog of yours is going to maul you.
I’m always impressed how you manage to find the worst take on any subject. You’re not even trolling. You’re just an idiot.
The first monologue at least thanks some support from people on the right; otherwise everything is Trump’s fault.

The FCC can still weigh in. Going after part of the country over the public airwaves isn’t in the Country’s interest. Doing it with lies and blatant violence provoking propaganda breaks another FCC oversight role.
Stations can lose broadcast rights over this.
Translation: We found something in his contract that would cost us to much to actually get rid of him.
“Disney caved.”
No, Disney did exactly the opposite.
River.
EIGER.
I don’t watch late night television or very TV at all, so I don’t really care very much.
That said it appears to me to be a business decision for the ABC affiliates. If their contracts allow them to air or not air shows based on the ability to sell advertising, then that is what they should do.
Stations with liberal audiences might choose to air the show particularly with the increased publicity that has been created. Stations with conservative audiences might choose to air other programming so that they can sell advertising. After all the reason to be in business is to make money. Why air programming if not enough people watch to sell the volume of advertising to be profitable?
I strongly suspect that the network’s contracts with advertisers guarantee them a high degree of affiliate market exposure.
Kimmel’s return shows us that the forces from the left remain powerful. Something got to Disney. Only Messrs. Smith and Wesson can terminate Kimmel.
How is he going to “fan the flames with the MAGA fan base” if none of them actually watch.
So much for the Iger sanction.
“It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive.” says Disney.
It’s not the content of what Kimmel said that Disney disagreed with … they disagreed only with when he said it.
That’s the problem these days. We can complain and strong arm people and organizations into whatever … but that rarely results in changing their mind. Once the pressure is removed … or they are gather support … they will remain unchanged and go back to their previous ways.
Who here bets that Kimmel’s first words back are, “What — too soon?”
Love it. Disney determined that it’s impossible to lose any more viewers and they are at rock bottom, “So why try?”
Because even if you peal back his hate mongering veneer, neither him nor his writing staff are the least bit funny.
Remember watching syndicated runs of the Johnny Carson show? You won’t see that ever again.
I don’t wish Jimmy ill. I hope he transforms as a human being. The theme of 2025 is there a God shaped hole in a lot of souls on the left.
Let’s hope they lose all the young families with kids that were motivated by the Kirk memorial service to remediate themselves to Chrudtian values….which don’t include the woke bull$ht Disney is putting out right now. The Marxist mouse can feast on the carcass of a dying Disney studios and empty theme parks.
Kimmel’s crappy show will likely see a surge in ratings at the beginning. If he returns to form, however, it will likely see a semi-gradual decline and an eventual return to the Ratings Toilet.
If he can be genuinely funny and entertaining, there might be a different outcome.
It all depends on what is most important to him, being a nasty Leftist, or being an actual entertainer.
Kimmel ratings were already in the toilet. Almost anybody could do better. He has no new ideas, he’s not going to turn this around.
The liberals never leave a man behind.
They can’t even define what a man is except as a non birthing person
But “men can have babies!”
I assume those conversation didn’t include Jimmy.
No Disney, no ABC

Note to self – Short Disney on monday
I told my broker, “no woke stocks.”
He picked up Disney the day after the news about “we do have an LGBTQ agenda” leaked out.
Guess his algorithm said it looked undervalued.
It wasn’t.
Honestly, is there a more pathetic board of directors in corporate America than Disney’s? These people have made a complete botch of everything they have touched for at least the last decade. Everything from the tragedy of an alligator killing a child alongside a pond on one of their properties, to declaring themselves a mini-state and engaging in political warfare with the state of Florida, to the outright destruction of classic fairy tales and western culture. The sinking of one of their cruise ships is about all that remains.
These corporate titans, having just fired an employee subsequently “ . . .spent the last days having thoughtful conversations . . .” and decided to unfire him because they want “ . . . to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country.” Oh, please. They’re invertebrates, unable to defend their own actions against a crowd of pontificating politicians, preening thespians of every imaginable type (and questionable notoriety), self-proclaimed unfunny comedians,’ talk show yammerers, legions of “influencers,” and Ilhan Omar and AOC. This crowd can’t even stick a wet finger up into the air to see which way the wind is blowing. They should move their corporate headquarters to France,
He wasn’t fired, though. His late-night show was taken off the air, but he remained under contract. He has had another project in the works with them – a game show.
Everyone thank Brendan Carr for this incredible against all odds survival by Jimmy Kimmel.
No ratings, cost Disney 10s of millions of dollars per year, corporation wishing him gone, affiliates wanting him gone, action he is whitewashing disgusts the nation……only one man the man actively trying to turn this into a freedom of speech issue of “does the FCC determine what can be said on tv” can save him and Brendan did!
Disney does not have to pay Jimmy Kimmel for his disgusting takes, but Brendan Carr head of the FCC made sure it would by putting them up against the wall in front of their liberal audience and making them decide “do we fight for our free speech against an FCC threat to stop a merger if we don’t do as they say”.
Brendan Carr made the biggest self own in recent history. We should be celebrating Jimmy Kimmel being off the air and Disney inching away from leftism.
Instead we have to defend the FCC reclaiming power to shut down news it doesn’t like that it has not used for decades and which WILL be used against us when Democrats win again.
He has company of course in Pam Bondi deciding Hate Speech will be prosecuted a speech the Democrats will use to defend their wish to do the same thing.
Charlie Kirk was a warrior for free speech, the idea of the FCC controlling what news gets on television would have appalled him.
Getting the CEO, the Shareholder, the Principal, the Dean etc to act against hate YES
Getting the U.S. Federal Government
Unless you want it to target us next NO
What a load of horsepuckey! Kimmel was only suspended, which meant Disney was going to bring him back no matter what. Carr’s comments had zero to do with what happened – unless you seriously believe the Communists would have rolled over absent them.
Challenge accepted. Lets game how that would play out today if the d/prog were running the WH and the FCC.
First we need to have a late night talk show host that is on the center/right. Ok so Greg Gutfeld. His show is on Fox News Channel aka cable network.
The problem is the FCC has power over broadcast networks. They have little to no power over cable networks comparably speaking. Remember the purpose of the FCC is to regulate the broadcast frequency spectrum aka the ‘airwaves’. Cable doesn’t broadcast ‘over the airwaves’ so cable networks can pretty much thumb their nose at the FCC.
Maybe you meant that in a more general sense if the current Admin ‘went after’ Kimmel (a woke/lefty) that a future d/prog Admin would ‘go after’ figures on the center/right? Oops they already did…a lot, a whole lot. The Biden Admin was pressuring social media, other media outlets to block, censor, restrict, demonitize and otherwise suppress speakers and speech on the center/right to squelch any dissent.
Two words: Alex Jones.
The FCC and the Biden admin in general had nothing to do with Alex Jones’s downfall. He seriously and deliberately defamed the plaintiffs, causing them significant damages, and then repeatedly defied court orders and deliberately withheld discovery and generally treated the courts with contempt. He deserved every penny of the damages the juries awarded against him.
None of this has any application to Kimmel, who didn’t defame anyone, so no one can sue him. His lie about the Kirk murderer was offensive and he deserves to be fired for it, but there’s no possible defamation case.
I never agree with Danny, but Brendan Carr should have stayed out of it.
Disney’s brought Kimmel back because his ouster could be framed as a free speech issue
Of course it wasn’t.
Kimmel’s ratings were already in the toilet. Sinclair and Nextstar were sick of him. All the FCC had to do was sit back and enjoy some popcorn.
Danny proves the old adage:
When RINOs get elected, they are “in office.”
When Dems get elected, they are “in power.”
Shame on us for doing ONCE to them exactly what Biden did to us over and over for four years.
We didn’t do that. The FCC took no action against Kimmel, and wasn’t going to. But by speaking irresponsibly the FCC chairman handed the left a weapon.
non-pology incoming in 3, 2, …
“I’m sorry you were offended!”
It’s been many years now since I quit subscribing to cable/satellite. Until this latest dust-up appeared online on enough sites to get my attention, I actually forgot that this unfunny leftist turd even existed.
Sinclair says no.

Beginning Tuesday night, Sinclair will be preempting Jimmy Kimmel Live! across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show’s potential return.
Expect liberal protests and accompanying violence at Sinclair headquartrrs in 3…2…1
It’s on Fox. Sinclair won’t run it on their 30 stations. Disney can bring it back but they can’t force their affiliates to put it on the air
In other news, 99% of adult Americans don’t watch the ‘Cryin’ Jimmy Kimmel’ show. He’s a classic leftist hate monger, a Hollywood elitist in love with himself and the perversion crowd. He must have huddled with his team of lawyers and come up with a fake apology letter, so that Disney would let him back on the air to spew more hate, all the while accusing others of being haters.
Sensible Americans with a soul will have ‘thoughtful’ changes to their viewing choices.
Good work! Disney convinces itself not to amputate, which means the blood loss will continue until the appendage dies and the resultant gangrene eventually kills the host. Meanwhile, life goes on.
Hum, it appears that Shari Redstone lied to all of us.
Day one script: “This is interesting. Did ya hear about this? Turns out Anibal Hernandez Santana “may have been” a MAGA – hat wearing Republican Trump supporter.”
The Media Research Center should put out a “Broadcast License Renewal Challenge Kit” for local residents who wish to challenge renewal of FCC broadcast licenses. They have the evidence to prove these stations are not serving the public interest as required by their license. Consistently resenting one sided political propaganda is not “in the public interest” regardless of which side has a monopoly.
So “indefinately” means “a long weekend off”.
I assume he is on after the late night news, but I do not know that for a fact from personal experience.
Let’s a graph of Jimmy Kimmel’s historical and current ratings so we can guess how long he will last before his next cancellation.
