Democrats Trying to Blame Republicans for Possible Shutdown Over Health Care

Democrats Trying to Blame Republicans for Possible Shutdown Over Health Care

The voting in the Senate should start today at 5 PM ET.

What is going to take to stop politicians from ever saying the words health care? Stay out of my healthcare.

Actually, stay out of my life. I won’t mind a shutdown.

Additionally, a shutdown would likely fall on the Democrats because the continuing resolution requires 60 votes to pass the Senate.

The Republicans only have 53 senators, which means seven Democrats to cross the aisle.

Voting is scheduled to begin today at 5:00 PM ET.

Anyway…this is a short post because supposedly, health care is the one thing keeping those Democrats from voting for the CR.

I saw this tweet from Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS). He tried to refute Sen. Chris Murphy:

So who is correct?

Well, I googled “Democrats COVID shutdown” and found Rep. Mike Johnson’s (R-L) website, which seems to confirm both men:

Permanently extending Biden’s COVID pandemic-era Obamacare subsidies

The Democrats also want to fund free health care for illegal aliens.

Overall, the Democrats want $1.5 trillion for only a four-week extension.

(Really trying not to rant…but, you know, if you cut the government, it’d be easier to just pass a yearly budget.)

I bet the Democrats cave to prevent the mass firings that the Trump administration warned would come with a shutdown.

Let the demonrats shut it down. This isn’t 1995 or any of the time during the past 25 years. The demonrats don’t own the narrative through the lsm anymore. They own it. And quite frankly I wish they would do it. At least 1/3 of government workers will no longer be employed because 40% of programs, agencies are going to cast off. Redundant and useless to the Republic. It’s what we voted for.

Without fear of contradiction I am perfectly sure that a government shutdown will have no effect upon me whatsoever.

Sorry, Chuck.

Same here. The federal government has done nothing for me for my entire life except take may money as taxes and waste it on ridiculous nonsense. So any government shutdown will not affect me whatsoever.

    Sorry, Chuck. Sorry, Hakeem.

Oh, and what’s with Chuck’s new glasses. He seems to have shed his gold-framed, half-moon reading glasses for a more modern looking pair. Is he attempting to look younger now to appeal to the younger crowd now that AOC has threatened his position in the Senate or what, exactly.

A government that’s shut down is a government that isn’t wasting money or doing stupid stuff to take away freedom.

Democrat playbook: “If you don’t buy this magazine, we will kill this dog.”

I see Trump had already requested departments to draw up lists of staff that can be let go in the event of a shut down 😂😂

It’s like a “do it” double dare 😂😂

To be perfectly honest, any department, bureau, administration, service, commission or whatnot that closes down during a federal government shutdown has proven themselves not to be necessary for the efficient running of the federal government and could be eliminated in their entirety. But of course, the courts wouldn’t allow that to happen. Nope. not at all.

Yeah, but imagine if Trump laid off a bunch of non-essential personnel in the federal court system…. wouldn’t that be fun.

If Trump follows through with his threat of mass, permanent layoffs, if the government shuts down, Dems will have engineered the greatest self-own ever.

The Republicans only have 53 senators, which means seven Democrats to cross the aisle.

Which won’t happen as congressional democrats do as they are told. And Chuck has told them they are not to vote for any continuing spending resolution unless it contains the democrat $1.5trillion pork-barrel spending

At this point if democrats are for it I’m against it. The democrats are marxists/socialist/facist anti-american asshats and there is nothing they stand for or do that I find favor with. Pound sand, dry up, and wither away.

why are we helping the left on this!!?? why!!??

first off we dont stop ovomit care when we had the chance ( we still actually do…but wont)

now we get djt

Trump has been talking for months about the need to lower drug prices. He issued an executive order in May giving drugmakers 30 days to electively lower prices or face new limits on what the government will pay.

1) companies can/will only charge what people can pay…..the companies want to get as many people as possible to buy their product(s)

So the real question is :

why does the government pay?

B/C the real answer is when the “government” pays…..insurance companies charge more b/c…..

see #1 from above

djt is extending the lefts power as they will “negotiate” with the companies

that doenst work well with the fire and police UNIONS around the country and now the left can say look your maga did this

Stick a needle in us….we’re fried

destroycommunism | September 30, 2025 at 2:46 pm

why does the post office exist?

start with eliminating them in the major cities…any cities with over 20k people …..pay the pensions off and get to it

then you can get to the rural carriers

DOGE THAT

No deal, if you’re illegal aliens want health care let them go get it in their own country

The folks who want more Gov’t spending to fund a Bigger Gov’t are threatening the folks who want less Gov’t spending and a Smaller Gov’t ….with refusing to vote for clean CR and thus ‘shutting down’ the Gov’t. Not sure these guys understand the context but ok.

In the words of Pepper Brooks of the movie Dodge Ball ‘Its a bold strategy Cotton, let’s see how it plays out for them’.

The Democrat party, led by (of all people) Chuckie Schumer, firmly believes that they will win the messaging war just like they always do (in their minds). Apparently, they haven’t noticed that President Trump is better at this than they are.

Not just that but seemingly so confident that they didn’t do much of a media blitz to prep for the shutdown. The last minute attempt of messaging ‘taking healthcare away’ is full of crap and the public knows it. Plus the shutdown will likely cause far more harm to the very groups the d/prog claim they seek to protect. It ain’t 1995, the internet, social media and alternative media/podcasts have removed the media embargo advantage the d/prog used to enjoy.

The wife and I are heading back east in October to vist family, and I want to visit a few civil war sites along way. If the government is still shut down that means no park service. Oh well. Fence hopping it will be. 😉

A few other ‘elective’ services will be closed, like passport application, SBA loans, and IRS call centers, etc., but the remaining 82% of the federal government will be fully funded under ‘mandatory’ expenditures. Yes, that includes grandma’s SS check, and all other ‘entitlements’.

Let the pundit hysteria and click bait horror headlines begin!

Picture of 2 idiots trying to reassure one another, We don’t need to add the burden of taking care of the illegals healthcare. Demos don’t really care about the health of anyone except their on. Their one and ONLY interest is the votes needed to keep them in office. I will never ever vote for any demonrat again. I’ve seen what kind of vermin they are and they are a plague on America!

Senator Cotton summed up the actual situation: “Does Chuck Schumer care more about the country or trying to avoid an AOC primary?”

In March, Schumer voted for the continuing resolution rather than watch Trump use a shutdown as an opportunity for a permanent reduction in force across the entire federal bureaucracy.

But, now, with his own seat in the Senate on the line, he’s perfectly willing to sacrifice federal bureaucrats in whatever numbers Russ Vought chooses for the culling.

And their demands are so extreme they have to know they won’t get anything at all from Trump or Congressional R’s on this.

They’re all simply posing as “fighters” so that their own rabid base won’t cancel their careers. They’ll cave soon enough, but not until they think they’ve posed long enough to satisfy their base.

Russ Vought has pegged the number to be culled at 300,000

Do it!

And blame Schumer

So has it shut down or what?

Whatever else happens, I sincerely hope that one day Chuck Schumer get’s a solid beat down, Hairy Reed style, and slinks off like a punk @$$ bitch to hide under his rock and die, just like that other sick puppy Reed did. Co*cksucking goblins, both.
