Charlie Kirk Updates: Assassination Suspect Tyler Robinson in Custody
The authorities confirmed the suspect assassinated Kirk over politics.
This is today’s live post on Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
What we know so far:
Tyler Robinson
Authorities confirmed they have Tyler Robinson in custody. His mugshot:

They also confirmed the writings on the ammunition casings:
GOV. COX: I know there has been speculation as well as to the the writing on those casings — those — those — those bullet casings and I believe we have that as well. And I will share that with you now. So, the area north of Campus Drive Road, where the suspect crossed over, you saw some of that in the video that we released last night consist of a grassy area with trees on the edge of the UVU campus. Investigators discovered a bolt action rifle wrapped in a dark-colored towel. The rifle was determined to be a Mauser model 98 3006 caliber — 3006 caliber bolt action rifle. The rifle had a scope mounted on top of it. Investigators noted inscriptions that had been engraved on casings found with the rifle. Inscriptions on a fired casing read: “Notices Bulges OW what’s this question mark’ Inscriptions on the three unfired casings read, ‘Hey, fascist! Catch! Point up arrow symbol, right arrow, and — symbol and three down arrow symbols.’ A second unfired casing read ‘oh, Bella, ciao, Bella, ciao Bella, ciao, ciao ciao.’ And a third unfired casing read, ‘if you read this, you are gay. Lmao.
It also sounds like Robinson had help, and yes, he hated Kirk over politics:
Investigators interviewed a family member of Robinson who stated that Robinson had become more political in recent years. The family member referenced a recent incident in which Robinson came to dinner prior to September 10th, and in the conversation with another family member, Robinson mentioned Charlie Kirk was coming to UVU. They talked about why they didn’t like him and the viewpoints that he had. The family member also stated Kirk was full of hate and spreading hate. The family member also confirmed Robinson had a gray Dodge Challenger. Investigators identified an individual as the roommate of Robinson. Investigators interviewed that roommate, who stated that his roommate, referring to Robinson, made a joke on Discord. Investigators asked if he would show them the messages on discord. He opened it and showed several messages to investigators and allowed investigators to take photos of the screen. As each message was shown by Robinson’s roommate. These photos consisted of various messages, including content of messages between the phone contact name Tyler with an emoji icon, and Robinson’s roommate’s device. The content of these messages included messages affiliated with the contact Tyler, stating a need to retrieve a rifle from a drop point, leaving the rifle in a bush, messages related to a — to visually watching the area where a rifle was left, and a message referring to having left the rifle wrapped in a towel. The messages also refer to engraving bullets and a mention of a scope, and the rifle being unique. Messages from the contact. Tyler also mentioned that he had changed outfits.

Trump on Suspect
***8:08AM
Trump said:
Yeah, can I always say, I think just to protect us all, and so Fox doesn’t get sued, we all don’t want to get sued and everything else, but I think with a high degree of certainty, we have him right custody, in custody.
Everyone did a great job. We worked with the local police, the governor. Everybody did a great job, you know, getting somebody that you start off with absolutely nothing, and we started off with a clip that made him look like an ant, that was almost useless.
We just saw there was somebody up there. And so much work has been done over the last two and a half days. You know, it’s amazing, actually, when you start off with that and then all that, and then all of a sudden you, you get lucky, or talent, or whatever it is, but, yeah, we’re, I think we’re in great shape. He’s in custody.

I try not to post anything until it’s confirmed by authorities.
I’m going to make an exception in this case.
Supposedly a minister identified the suspect in the pictures the FBI released. He told a deputy US Marshal.
Then, reportedly, the suspect confessed to his father, who told authorities.
The father kept his son around until authorities picked him up.
Trump told Fox News that a minister had identified a person as Kirk's suspected shooter from photos made public by law enforcement.
According to Trump, the minister got in touch with a deputy US Marshal whom he knew and eventually the suspect’s “father got involved.”

Sources tell CNN the suspect confessed to his father that he was the shooter.
His father told authorities and said he had secured his son until they could arrive to pick him up.

Sources tell our @JacquiHeinrich that the suspect in Charlie Kirk's assassination was "walked in" near St. George, UT.

Where have we heard that before (x2)?

law enforcement sources telling The Post it is a 22-year-old Utah local, Tyler Robinson.
Will wait for confirmation.
Wait.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Start arresting the domestic terrorists who have been holding this country in contempt through violence.
Start here: they are stacked like cord wood outside of every ICE facility on the west coast.
Yes- it’s time to start doxing the godless trolls who celebrated this murder. They are not just celebrating the murder of a young dad, they are celebrating the end of civil discourse and honest disagreement in this country. The fact that they feel an acceptable response to my viewpoint is a bullet is something we cannot afford to turn the other cheek on.
How will the protests go in the UK this weekend. I have a feeling the UK is walking on the razors edge right now. We have been pushed too far and it stops now.
I try to avoid evil. I am retired and I just want to walk my dog by the river and avoid all the horror of living in the modern world. I am fine with esoteric subjects like tariffs and even immigration policy, although frankly I see too much of the dark side peek through there.
But this….
Every time I try to get out, they drag me back in. I hate them for both what they’re doing and what they are doing to me. They won’t let us “Live and let live.”
I am hoping that the sick left come out for the trail and actively protests publicly. I am hoping some Soros-equivalent funds his defense generously.
I want them identified because there are more out there, and I want them prosecuted for their threats and violence against my country.
I just want to walk with my dog in the quiet by the river, but apparently there’s work to be done before I can do that.
“The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of men who wanted to be left alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over.
“The moment the men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be. Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these men who wanted to be left alone, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives. They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror. TRUE TERROR will arrive at these people’s door, and they will cry, scream and beg for mercy… but it will fall upon the deaf ears of the men who just wanted to be left alone.”
― Alexandr Solzhenitsyn
Truer words were never said
TY Hodge and Library.. that truth just leaves me profoundly sad. I live in a forest.. I get it.
I hope they did get him. And I hope we get clear evidence on some of the conspiracies that are running around right now.
speaking of conspiracies, it’s no coincidence that some girls was asking about tranny shootings at the time of the shot
That’s one of the things I’m talking about. I really want that all straightened out.
This has become a historical inflection point. There is an imperative to roll up these left /communist ngo’s that have funded these protests and radicalized people across the country against our Constitutional Republic. The demonrats running for office in 2026 need to have the Charlotte murder attached to them in reference to crime. They need to have the murder of Charlie Kirk hung around their neck in reference to using all the vile ways they categorize Republicans/ conservatives. Hammer these demonrats as accessories in these murders and the criminals they love.
Only for those capable of some introspection. So far from what we have seen this does not include Democrats.
It’s not for the benefit of the demon rats, it’s for the benefit of the independent voter
Where are all the concern trolls aguished about no due process for Charlie Kirk’s death sentence?
He will get his due process. Unlike the left, its something conservatives come to expect (without having to say it).
Charlie has already had his due process. And, I believe, been found that his penalty was already paid in full. RIP, sir.
That was as far removed from due process as you can get. There is definitely a hard mirror to MLK here and I don’t think the left sees it at all.
I’m talking about judgment and the fact he was a Christian.
Exactly. The shooter, likely Tyler Robinson, acted not only as judge, jury, and executioner, but as ACCUSER as well.
I hope that he is put to a slow and painful death.
It was his father, a minister and with the Sheriff’s department 27 years that turned in his own son.
He saw the picture and knew… that’s my son…
He confronted his son and his son confessed
I can’t even….
It turns out, that’s a different person (with the same name). The Washington County Sheriffs Office issued a press release correcting this widely-reported element of the story. As I understand it, there is also at least one other ‘Tyler Robinson’ in that same county as well
https://x.com/AdamHerbets/status/1966579826334011721
I would add that I’m REALLY curious to see a timeline of how this all went because I think there’s some chance – perhaps a really good chance – that the family knew and did nothing until someone from outside the family called them and said, ‘hey, your son is on TV.’
Now comes the coordinated “sympathy” for the murderer. Who “failed” him? Why society failed him rather than the drumbeat of The Party Line. That he represents so many must be hidden. No matter what happens, he did his part for the Left.
Leftist ideology failed him. It is the ideology of death and destruction.
I agree. Furthermore, the family’s at fault for not being proactive about this change in their son.
The kid is an adult and many parents now have seen their children “change” and hate them. We know nothing about them … yet….
Tyler Robinson is wearing a red shirt of the @SaltLakeDSA
(Salt Lake Democrat Socialists Of America.
https://x.com/CarmineSabia/status/1966495639514026341
That Xeet appears to be gone.
I’m happy some people are looking at the shirt, though. It might not be ultimately relevant evidence, but it seemed to be something you would want to know while looking for the guy.
OK, I’m guessing they are talking about a shirt in a different picture.
So, I still want to know what shirt he was wearing at the shooting.
Let’s be careful. Trump mainly knows what the FBI tells him. How much do we trust the FBI?
In high profile cases, where law enforcement suffers under the pressure to catch the culprit, they sometimes try to find a patsy. Sometimes the patsy is part of a planned operation, like Lee Harvey Oswald. A whole other subject which I’m prepared to go into in detail sometime. I trust Trump– somewhat. He made his money before he went in politics unlike most other pols who somehow got very rich on a government salary. I think Trump’s concern about the Kirk murder is genuine, but he’s at the mercy of the system, which is rotten.
Words of wisdom.
“ I have rules I live by. The first is that I believe nothing my government tells me.”
….G. Carlin
oswald murdered jfk
The evidence casts some doubt on that. Still a lot of unanswered questions…we probably won’t ever know for certain.
He did. He may not have been the ringleader but he did.
You trust the government on that?
I don’t know how old you are, but I remember the JFK assassination. My father had every book written on the subject and I read them all. They were the “gateway drug” to my distrust of government. The evidence that 1.) Oswald did not kill Kennedy; and 2.) there were multiple shooters is overwhelming.
My dad and I were also shooters. We visited Dealey Plaza. We saw for ourselves what utter nonsense the government was spewing. Kennedy was driven into a killing zone in which multiple shooters were able to shoot from positions that were far more advantageous than the Dallas School Book Depository building.
I’m surprised that you, of all people here, believe Oswald killed Kennedy.
well the book/movies wouldnt have sold that well if they were titled
yep..oswald done it
the zup film shows jfk being hit once
so the “multiple shooters” must have been really really bad shots
having said that
sure,,many wanted jfk gone but oswald was well trained on marksmanship ,,just back from ussr ( well trained on the hate) the conflicts with cuba etc etc and he was in fact tracked down into the theater where the revolver that murdered officer tippit was found on oswald
knowing the evils of the government doesnt prevent me from seeing what I believe is the truth
sure the gov dishes out the info they want you to know
but there are other ways to find out whats the truth or closer to the truth
I mean.. they said oj was not guilty
I seriously wonder what Zapruder film you saw. The one I saw clearly shows Kennedy reacting to the first shot to hit him by raising his hands towards his neck, before the headshot that blows his brain out.
There were also at least three additional shots. One hit the rim of the limo’s windshield (a shot that couldn’t have come from the Book Depository), another that hit Connally (the film also shows he was hit by a completely different shot from either of those that struck JFK), and a third that struck a curb near the limo. That’s five shots in less time than FBI experts could work the bolt on Oswald’s rifle.
Also, Discovery Channel ran a documentary about the assassination in which they interviewed a man who was behind the fence on the grassy knoll. He says he saw two men, one apparently a Dallas police officer (reported by others to have been seen in that area), carrying a rifle to a car, placing the rifle into the trunk, and then walking away. He reported what he saw to the FBI, but was never interviewed. Ironically, this witness was deaf and dumb, so he couldn’t have heard the shots and wasn’t able to tell anyone at the scene what he had seen. I found the interview absolutely chilling.
I always thought law enforcement (and possibly LBJ) was in on the killing of JFK, for a simple reason. It was just too easy for Jack Ruby to kill Oswald.
Jack Ruby in the tunnel, just like the undefended roof in Butler.
wanna buy a bridge?
depends I might
Depends on the resale value! 😉
Leftists are fundamentally, stupid. They could never have come up with a plot involving a young leftist male who would make every single mistake I’d expect a young leftist male to make.
Part of the supposition is that the real shot was taken by a pro, not the leftist male who did in fact make at the leftist male mistakes but it didn’t matter.
Well, we’re still waiting to hear the full story about the Las Vegas shooting.
Hell, we still have never heard the full story about JFK, and it’s been over 60 years at this point.
Utah State has issued a press release disclosing that the suspect was a student at Utah State for one semester in 2021. It will be interesting to learn what he did while he was there and why he left school.
https://x.com/buttonslives/status/1966510013557465589
He won a “presidential scholarship” worth $32K yet only one semester. He looks a little too smug in mug shot. Highly “intelligent”… must have realized his superiority after being around the Antifa crowd. The hard Left is still the hard Left and they see him as a martyr for the cause. Nothing will change their minds. The war continues… we took a bad hit.
hurry
cue the epstein crowd !!!
f the rinos and their leftist comrades
maga
BTW, the only thing that surprises me about the identity of the shooter is that this is (I believe) the first assassination carried out by America’s new militant and very wide-spread Anti-Fascist movement. Unless it’s corralled, it likely won’t be the last one.
?
anyone who was murdered during the blmplo riots of 2020
They’ve definitely killed people before, no question. It happens routinely in the Pacific Northwest. I’m referring to targeted political assassinations, like we saw on Wednesday. I don’t think that has happened, until now.
a more known political murder to be sure
but to these lefty thugs,,,, its all for the cause
and the cause is political power over the good people
aren’t the zizians affiliated with antifa? can’t remember and unable to check presently.
There’s so much crossover, they may as well be the same group.
“he had help”
oh no
here comes the plea down
I am holding out hope that Utah offers him his life for exposing the conspiracy, then Blondie can come along with a Federal charge that gives hime the needle
sounds good
Had the same thought.
btw
he looks like he could be beto oroukes son
or at least he thinks like him
Worth noting that yesterday, the New York Times tried to throw cold-water on the Wall St Journal (and others) reporting that the weapon and unspent cartridges had anti-fascist inscriptions, claiming their sources were telling them that it wasn’t true. I’m skeptical they had any ‘sources,’ at all. But, if they did, they clearly don’t have any sources in the know….anymore.
They said he “illegally acquired” the rifle. How is leaving it in a bush for the intended person an illegal acquisition? Does Utah require a background check for all transfers, even private ones? It doesn’t appear the shooter is a prohibited person (well, he will be now). And it would be irrelevant to the transfer that the original possessor was a prohibited person. He’s not under age to obtain a long rifle. Unless he instigated a theft to procure the weapon for him, or a straw purchase, I don’t see how this is an “illegal acquisition,”
I’m just guessing, but I imagine the weapon was owned by someone else in the home, probably the father, and the owner has told authorities that it was taken without permission. Essentially, it was ‘stolen,’ so, illegally obtained. We see this claim all the time when kids use their parent’s cars to commit crimes and the parents claim the car was taken w/o permission. This goes some way towards insulating the parents from civil liability. I’m not necessarily saying that’s why the claim might have been invoked here. But, it would still potentially have the same effect of protecting the gun owner from a civil action by the Kirk family, or criminal action if the shooter may have been a prohibited possessor for some yet unknown reason.
In furtherance of a conspiracy to commit murder/crime of violence, the transfer may be considered illegal.
OK, that might be true. But I think only if you fill out that question on the 4273.
Even on that one, I think the original possessor broke the law, but not necessarily the guy who acquired it.
The shooter doesn’t matter as he faces way bigger charges anyways. If there is a straw purchaser though I hope they throw the book at them.
The max sentence for a rifle straw purchase starts at 15 years; if the rifle is then used in a felony it increases to 25 years. Add accessory to murder for the potential for the death penalty.
I would like to see the shooter face the death penalty. I would REALLY like to see all the accessories face the death penalty
I withdraw my comment because after going back and watching the presser, I have a better understanding of what they said and what you’re asking. I thought the ‘drop point’ was where he was going to leave the weapon AFTER the shooting. I don’t think so. It appears the weapon was left for him, already inscribed, to use to kill Kirk…definitionally a larger conspiracy. If that’s the case, it’s clearly an illegal transfer irrespective of what the transfer laws are in the US because it’s clear the weapon provider understands the intended use for the weapon.
This is a big deal. Wow.
Yup. It appears he picked it up somewhere. In leaving it in the woods he may also have been expecting it to be picked up.
I cannot myself imagine anyone (not entirely stupid) coming up with a plan that involves an assassin picking up, on the way to the assassination, a long-range weapon that he’s never fired before or sighted in, and he’d best make his first shot count. (A pistol, certainly, a la Godfather, but not a rifle.)
I saw the video of him leaving the roof unarmed. How did he leave it in the bushes to be found?
It’s REALLY hard to see. But, in the zoomed-in and enlarged video, it’s clear that as he jumps down from the roof, there’s a long object – rifle length – that is either wrapped in a black cloth/blanket of some kind or maybe it’s a black bag. Whatever it is, it’s being held and partially tucked under his arm, like someone might hold a rifle.
Yeah, he has something in his hands as he leaves the roof. It initially seems to get dropped into the gutter, then he pulls it back out as he gets ready to drop.
It has to be tough for a father to turn his own son in, especially knowing the death penalty is on the table.
The Left needs to moderate its language. This is the result of demonizing everyone on the Right.
Probably but as a minister he knows murder and he knows the story of Isaac, who deserved it far less than this scumbag.
Doesn’t make it a less heart wrenching situation for the father.
A father’s love knows no bounds.
just a request.
could LI see a way to blot out this image or replace with Charlie’s likeness.
to me this meat bag is Charlie’s Murderer nothing else, prosecute.
I do not need the 5W’s of journalism, I most certainly do not need Wikipedia’s massive “Journalism ethics and standards” claptrap.
I can hear the AWFLs now:
Oooh … isn’t he just dreamy!
That’s definitely going to happen, I’m sickened to say.
thank you RL, your post is my point though I am being downvoted
Hybristophilia is going to go at warp speed, judging by the amount of happiness the other side shows when Kirk was killed.
He’ll probably have a child before he gets fried.
Some other drain on society to deal with.
I firmly believe this was a highly coordinated hit with numerous people involved.
to repeat, I don’t believe in coincidences, and that girl asking about tranny shootings at the time Kirk was shot isn’t one
Look at all of their so-called “actions” over the past few years. Antifa rarely if ever works alone.
If not for their numbers and internal networks of cooperation, they would have no strength. Until proven otherwise, I consider this to be a coordinated attack.
Look into her by all means, but don’t assume the person coordinating the timing was her. It seems likely (not certain — coincidences do happen, just assume otherwise in this context) that someone coordinated the timing. It could be the girl (whenever she’s talking to him); it could equally well be anyone else present (whenever I give a signal.)
Supposedly the wacko leftists online are doing stuff like sharing kill lists with names of other prominent conservative podcasters etc, with Kirk’s name crossed off and saying stuff like “who’s next”.
These MFers are truly sick puppies.
The alleged culprit was indoctrinated by Dhimmi-crat teachers, schools, media organs/personalities. Of that, there can be no doubt.
A person doesn’t just wake up one morning, roll out of bed, and decide to kill a conservative politician or leader/speaker. This guy was taught to think and believe this way.
Of course, a criminal is responsible for his crimes, but, the reprobates who taught him to think and behave as he does, are just as guilty, and, their evil machinations need to be combated, too. The indoctrination/corruption of American students in the nation’s schools must be tackled, head-on.
That’s what Charlie was doing and it must continue
That’s where Charlie was, did that, and got the bloody t-shirt.
How many more Charlies do we let them have?
and its easier than people
if a crowd of patriots showed up and said we aer going to withhold our tax money,,while at the same time the states legislature was writing up the law allowing that…game over for lefty
game over!!
correction:
than people think
Sorry for the down-vote; meant to up-vote
Pretty clear at this point this guy was an Antifa recruit/follower/member. If there ever was a reason to declare this group of violent degenerates a terrorist organization, this is it.
This group of leftist thugs and murderers should be the number one target of all law enforcement in our country.
There is no such thing in USA law as “declaring” people to be a “terrorist organization”. The designation just doesn’t exist.
I realize that. I should have been more clear in making my point. Legislation needs to be passed to allow that to happen. Something like this-
https://samuelgabrielsg.substack.com/p/dismantling-domestic-terror-a-legal
Based on the photo, are we sure this isn’t Beto?
At this point going forward, if anything like this occurs again, and if Antifa is involved in any way, then they need to be declared a terrorist organization and should be run down and sentenced accordingly.
The left is acting like an abusive woman slapping her man, and will soon be surprised when the man finally responds will full force, knocking her ass over teakettle.
Antifa should be declared a terrorist organization anyway. No need to wait.
Again, there is no such thing in USA law as “declaring” something to be a “terrorist organization”.
Trump should post on X and Truth that they will be seeking suggestions from the public for methods of execution for Robinson.
“We want a big execution . . . You’ve never seen an execution like we’re gonna have for this guy . . .”
He really needs to be talking about a totally fair trial, making sure he really is the shooter, etc. He needs to remove any possible line of attack about “undue influence” or such.
(I think he did fine with how he put it when he announced they had possibly caught the guy.)
“Undue influence” really only applies to military commissions, because the judges work for the president. Real judges don’t work for the president, and they’re free to ignore him, so his expressing his opinion is assumed not to influence them unduly.
Guillotine – Pay Per View.
Let’s see who represents him in court, will some high profile person take on the case or will some inexperienced public defender get the short straw.
