President Donald Trump will join the police and military on patrol in D.C. tonight.
Trump said on The Todd Starnes show:
And I’m going to be going out tonight. I’m going to keep it a secret, but I’m going to go, you’re the only one that does you and your lots of listeners, you have a great show. You have a very successful show, by the way. Case you haven’t heard that, but I’m going to be going out tonight, I think, with the with the police, with the and with the military, of course. So we’re going to do a job. The National Guard is great. They’ve done a fantastic job.
On August 11, Trump declared a crime emergency in Washington, D.C., deploying the National Guard to help the police.
Trump put Attorney General Pam Bondi in command of the Metropolitan Police Department. Terry Cole, the head of the DEA, will become the interim DC police commissioner.
Bondi recently announced that authorities have made 630 arrests since the takeover.
Trump pointed out that many leaders come to DC. As America regains its prominence in the world, the capital needs to look fantastic and be safe.
The city has also started clearing out homeless camps.
