New Poll: 0% of Democrats Are Satisfied With Direction of the Country
While the out of power party typically expresses dissatisfaction with the state of national affairs, rarely does the divide reach the level seen today.
The latest Gallup survey shows that satisfaction with the direction of the U.S. stands at essentially 0% among Democrats, compared to 76% among Republicans — the widest gap in the poll’s history.
Gallup noted the partisan gap hit 75 points in May and 74 points in March and July, levels not seen since October 2004. Meanwhile, just 25% of independents expressed satisfaction with the country’s direction.
Gallup emphasized that in July 2024, 1% of Republicans were satisfied with the country’s direction and 97% were dissatisfied. At the time, however, “because just 36% of Democrats were satisfied,” the gap was only 35 points.
The poll found that overall, 31% of Americans are currently satisfied with the direction of the country. This is down from 38% in May. But Gallup pointed out that in late October, the figure stood at 26%, and averaged approximately 22% during Biden’s presidency.
It should be noted that the RealClearPolitics average of right track/wrong track polls on Friday showed that 40.4% believe the U.S. is heading in the right direction, vs. 53.8% who think the country is on the wrong track, a difference of 13.4%.
A look at the history of this poll shows that while the out-of-power party typically expresses dissatisfaction with the state of national affairs, rarely does the divide reach the level seen today. Signs of this partisan polarization are visible everywhere.

The poll showed President Donald Trump’s job approval at 40%, down from 43% during the first five months of his presidency. Broken down by party, 93% of Republicans approve of Trump’s performance, compared to 35% of Independents and 1% of Democrats.
Regarding the 92-point gap between Republicans and Democrats, Gallup reports:
This ties the record for the largest partisan divide in Gallup’s presidential approval trends, first recorded in October 2020, right before the 2020 election.
The 1% of Democrats approving of Trump today matches their lowest approval rating for any Republican president, tying the figure recorded in June 2025. While strikingly low, this is on par with Democrats’ 2% approval rating of Trump in June 2020 and July 2025 and similar to their 3% ratings of George W. Bush in 2008 during the global financial crisis.
For comparison, Republicans’ lowest approval for any Democratic president was 2% for Joe Biden in several 2023-2024 polls.
It’s worth mentioning that the current RealClearPolitics average of polls pegs Trump’s support at 45.7%.
Just 37% approve of Trump’s handling of the economy and 39% his foreign policy, both down five points from February.
On the economy, 93% of Republicans, 29% of Independents, and 4% of Democrats back Trump.
Similarly, on foreign policy, 92% of Republicans, 33% of Independents, and 3% of Democrats support Trump.
Are you getting the feeling that Democratic approval of Trump would remain in the low single digits even if the GDP rose to 5% and Trump ended the Russia-Ukraine war?
The stock market is at an all-time high. Gas prices are coming down. Illegal immigration is coming down. Wages are up. We are making progress towards peace in the Middle East. Crime is down in Washington DC.
And the Democrats are angry.
What a sad, pathetic group of people.

…hence their cratering popularity.
Can we offer them a $1000, a free flight to somewhere else, and loss of citizenship?
And true sign Trump is over the target dismantling the deep state and complicent NGO’s
The loss of access to Uncle Sam’s wallet for NGOs and the first steps towards uprooting the activists out of the bureaucracy is definitely underappreciated.
When is ever satisfied with anything. It is a cult of complaining
Trump lost a lot with the flag burning crap.
Trump lost nothing. People agree we shouldn’t burn the flag, they disagree people should be arrested for olit. Try harder Commit Jew Hater
“Trump lost a lot with the flag burning crap.”
LOL
Trump would also lose a lot with his Fed bashing, except the population doesn’t understand monetary policy any better than Trump does.
Nor do you
What do I get wrong? Just curious.
Everything, you intellectual Pygmy 😂😂 GDP up, inflation down, employment up, wages up, crime down, illigal immigration down, tarrifs working…seems there is plenty that smooth brains like you don’t understand sweetie 😂😂
No, your not. Your an anti semitic troll
“What do I get wrong?” Almost everything.
“Just curious.” No, you’re not.
”The latest Gallup survey shows that satisfaction with the direction of the U.S. stands at essentially 0% among Democrats…”
Not surprising if you understand that it has more to do with two cultures that are at odds with each other, rather than two political parties…
I’m sure it’s just a coincidence, but the homicidal trans shooter in MN was also 0% satisfied with the direction of the country. I suspect that Dems probably agree with him on a lot of things.
Dems are almost as bad as Muslims.
I’m sure that part of it is that the Democrats are upset at the continued existence of the United States. That and more than a little bit of envy at what their counterparts in Europe are doing. In Germany, the Federal government just issued an order saying that the political parties ARE NOT allowed to criticize Federal government “migrant” policies in local elections.

Subotai Bahadur
If the Democrats are unhappy, normal Americans are happy.
Given the massive levels of TDS we see in the media, this isn’t surprising – those who get their news and marching orders from the media are not seeing any of Trump’s accomplishments except in a negative light.
I am highly satisfied about what President Trump has been doing, and understand why he can’t fix everything for everyone. But some things hurt.
The end of the de minimis exemption from tariffs is necessary because the Chinese have been using it to cheat us. However, it is seriously hurting my daughter’s art business. Cheaters spoil everything.
Also, Trump has done nothing about the cost of health care and health insurance for the self-employed. I realize multiple layers of “fixes” over the last half-century make it so that fixing the mess would require a miracle and result in losers as well as winners.
These two problems probably result in more Democrats.
If President Trump crossed Fifth Avenue on the walk-sign, the Maoist State Media would report it as: “Trump’s Antics Holds Up Traffic on Major Street in Manhattan.”
Can we not at least put to bed the fantasy that there are any reasonable Democrat voters remaining?
There might be some Indy who vote d/prog but there’s not a whole bunch of reasonable d/prog registered voters. Bill Clinton of ’92 wouldn’t be able to secure the d/prog nomination in today’s d/prog party.
Awesome, the fact that the communist traitors unanimously hate it tells us we’re doing the right thing.
they can add the rinos into that mix too:
RRP came up with its own scoring process for members of Congress. Unlike some rankings, RINOs don’t get scores in the 60s through 80s — none of the 10 scored higher than 52 out of 100.

Anyone who would respond to a political poll should be prohibited from participating in a political poll.
Proof positive that this administration is doing great things for the country.
Do not underestimate the power of the Democrats Propaganda Ministry pounding the Republicans administration daily.
A certain percentage of Americans, maybe 20%, are TruBelievers ™. These are the toxically compassionate, the perpetually envious, the eternally dissatisfied.
Another 20% are NPCs, smoothbrains whose only source of information is legacy media and TikTok. They are the docile imbibers of the relentless propaganda that is demonizing America First.
The last 11% or 12% are artifacts: of election fraud and push polls. These exist only to make vulnerable soft thinkers believe “everyone thinks/does/believes that.”
