Maxine Waters Wants to Invoke ‘Article 25’ to Remove ‘Mentally Unfit’ Trump From Office

During a recent appearance on MSNBC, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), said that she wants Trump’s cabinet to invoke ‘Article 25’ and remove ‘mentally unfit’ President Trump from office.
Waters spent most of Trump’s first term shrieking ‘Impeach 45!’ at anyone who would listen. Still, these comments sound even dumber now after four years of Democrats and the media covering for an obviously diminished Joe Biden.
Also, Democrats already tried playing the ‘Trump is mentally unfit’ card years ago, trotting out the now-fired Yale psychiatrist Bandy Lee, who diagnosed Trump without ever even meeting him.

Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., called for the 25th Amendment to the Constitution to be used against President Donald Trump on Friday, suggesting he was unfit, during a discussion about his removal of Lisa Cook from the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors.
“It is time to call for Article [Amendment] 25 of the Constitution of the United States of America to determine his unfitness, to determine that something’s wrong with this president. And I would suggest that we move very aggressively to talk about the danger to this country and to our democracy and not play around with this, because this is absolutely one of the most destructive things that this president could do,” Waters said during an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Weeknight.”
Trump removed Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook on Monday, alleging she misrepresented mortgage information.
“This stands to basically upend the entire economy. This stands to really deal with what is going to happen on Wall Street, what’s going to happen with interest rates, what’s going to happen with the president of the United States being able to make decisions that he will personally benefit from. And so the world, and certainly the United States, should be watching this very closely. As far as I’m concerned, we have to move very aggressively. It is not about lingering and trying to think that maybe the courts will help us,” Waters said on MSNBC.

Just two weeks ago, Waters accused Trump of leading the U.S. to a new civil war.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said President Donald Trump is risking a “civil war” by not allowing Congress members to visit Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention centers.
Waters visited the Metropolitan Detention Center and Department of Homeland Security Field Office in Los Angeles, California, on Monday with her colleagues, Reps. Brad Sherman (D-CA), Judy Chu (D-CA), and Jimmy Gomez (D-CA).
While Waters, Gomez, and Chu were previously denied entry, they received a tour this time as part of their congressional oversight authority. During their tour, they said they only saw two detainees and could not speak to them. Gomez accused ICE of “hiding the truth and blocking real oversight” during a press conference after the tour.
If the leaders of the Democratic Party had any sense, they would tell this woman to retire.
She is not helping them.

People misunderstand the 22cd Amendment and think it says a person can only be elected to two terms ignoring the rest. Vance or Trump for that matter could possibly serve as President a 3rd time. If Trump were removed now and Vance served more than 2 years then he could run again. However, when that term were up he could be elected VP and if something happened to the President there is an argument as to whether he could serve out the term or if the order of succession would skip him and go to the Speaker of The House. SCOTUS would have to step in or Congress clarify what the 22cd meant I think. Personally I think in that case Vance should be eligible for 1 complete term but I bet the Dems would think otherwise if it were their man or woman.

“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice”. Trump has been elected twice, so that’s it. Even if he had only served one day of each term, he would still be unable to be elected a third time.
And “no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President”. So he can’t be elected VP either. Once he’s out of office, whether tomorrow morning or on Jan-20-2029, that’s it for him.
If Vance were to take over before Jan-20-2027, then he would be unable to be elected president more than once.
And in case it wasn’t clear, if Vance serves more than two years of Trump’s term, and is then elected president, that’s it for him. Whether he resigns the day after the electors vote or he serves a full term, he can never again be elected president or vice president.
Don’t know why so many can’t read. It’s pretty clearly written. Trump cannot run for POTUS or even VP under the current Constitution barring an amendment change. Vance if he took over right now from Trump would only be able to run once again. To run twice Vance would have to take over for Trump once Trump has passed the two-year mark.
This was an issue with many believing Biden would wait until the two-year mark to step down for health reasons giving Kamala the office and then enabling her to possibly serve two more terms if elected.
