International Student Enrollment Could Drop 30-40 Percent in Fall of 2025

“That would be on par with precipitous declines in 2020, when the pandemic closed borders and halted travel.”

Marco Rubio and the State Department are not playing games.

From the Chronicle of Higher Education:

Severe backlogs could prevent 150,000 international students from getting visas in time to start the fall semester, an estimated 30 to 40 percent drop in new foreign enrollments.

That would be on par with precipitous declines in 2020, when the pandemic closed borders and halted travel. Much of this year’s falloff is attributable to a three-week halt in the scheduling of student-visa interviews during the busiest time of the year for student applicants as well as to changes in visa policy and practices since President Trump took office.

NAFSA: Association of International Educators and JB International, New Research: U.S. Economy Could Suffer a Loss of $7 Billion and 60,000 Jobs:

Scenario modeling based on a potential 30-40 percent decline in new international student enrollment in the United States this fall could result in a 15 percent drop in overall enrollment.

That would be a win-win (i.e., winning with a one-two punch).
Hobbles both foreign troublemakers AND the domestic troublemakers who use them as their street army.

Why is this a problem? Students used to come here for education. Now many come here to steal research and protest. Why not block students from countries on commie and anti Jew payrolls?
