Florida State U Student Who Harassed Jewish Peer Charged With Misdemeanor Battery

“According to the arrest report, Deckerhoff hit the victim, an FSU student wearing an IDF ((Israel Defense Forces) shirt, on the shoulder while trying to reach for his smoothie on the table.”

The female student who was caught on camera last week harassing a Jewish peer has been charged with the crime of misdemeanor battery. There were whispers that this was going to happen, and now it has.

Eden Deckerhoff, whom we have not named before now, is apparently a grad student and employee of the school.

From the Tallahassee Democrat:

FSU grad student employee faces misdemeanor battery charge after ‘antisemitic harassment’

A case of “antisemitic harassment” at Florida State University – which made it all the way to the U.S. attorney general’s office – has resulted in a misdemeanor battery charge.

The short video that went viral on social media captured an altercation between a woman, who is an FSU employee and graduate student, and a Jewish student. The woman is seen flipping off and yelling at a man sitting inside the Leach Student Recreation Center before apparently shoving the man.

According to recently released court records, a misdemeanor battery charge was brought against the employee Aug. 4. The Tallahassee Democrat does not typically name individuals charged with misdemeanors.

An advocacy group, Stop Anti-Semitism, started ciruclating the video and flagged FSU President Richard McCullough on the social media post saying the “assault warrants immediate expulsion.”

More from WTXL News in Florida:

Woman accused of antisemitism charged with battery

A viral video, showing a woman using expletives criticizing Israel and supporting Palestine, has been charged with misdemeanor battery.

Police have identified the woman as FSU employee Eden Deckerhoff after reviewing video of a situation on the night of July 30 at the Leach Recreational Center.

According to the arrest report, Deckerhoff hit the victim, an FSU student wearing an IDF ((Israel Defense Forces) shirt, on the shoulder while trying to reach for his smoothie on the table. The victim said he lifted his left arm to protect himself.

The victim recalls what Deckerhoff said, “…she’s like telling me things like you’re part of a mass genocide, and you’re killing people, and I was in shock I didn’t understand what she was saying…she tried kind of like shoving me, and taking the drink and pouring it on my head, but I kind of just pushed her hand away.”

The victim told police “she definitely hate crimed me.” Police asked the student if he wanted to pursue criminal charges and he said he would let them know later.

Followed by a long visit to nice quiet place at the reopened and greatly expanded mental institutions across the Nation.

As the professor said several months ago, the vast majority of these lunatic demonstrators are incredibly obnoxious and mean spirited young women.

Most of these young women seem to be suffering from being coddled and catered to v being told ‘no’. They often act as if they are entitled to do and say whatever they please without any notion of potential consequences. It’s almost as if they see themselves as the main character in a story cloaked in impenetrable ‘plot armor’ which shields them from any repercussions. Sooner or later they’ll be very shocked to discover that not everyone will put up with their childish tantrums.

Punched in the face and put in prison, not misdemeanors.. scum

Fire her and eject her from U. That is probably sufficient penalty. Her life will be pretty much ruined. Who is going to hire her?

Slap on the wrist stuff. Slightly better than no charges at all.

This is Florida we’re talking about, not, let’s say, New York.

    “Simple Battery (Misdemeanor Battery)

    Level: First-degree misdemeanor

Penalties: Up to 1 year in jail, 1 year of probation, and a $1,000 fine.

Consequences: A conviction creates a permanent criminal record, which can affect employment, housing, and other opportunities.”

She could stand to get at least 6 months. Might cause a bit of an attitude adjustment.

Cut off her finger! Better yet, make her watch the October 7 film and write an essay about it to be published in the school paper.

Deckerhoff … and find out.

That’s quite the forehead.

Not sure of the legal remedy for “misdemeanor battery”; for an otherwise clean record I should think that prison is very, very unlikely. If she’s smart (she’s a progressive so that’s open to question) she’ll do some sort of plea bargain and avoid the jail. If FSU punishes her (terminate her job, terminate her graduate school position), that plus the fine and public humiliation should be enough.

This time. Put that forehead in the news again, ma’am, and …

TBH when I first glanced at the photo I thought ‘why is Bella Ramsey at FSU’?

In Florida misdemeanor battery for a first time offender is very unlikely to see the inside of a jail other than to process her into the system and than bail out. At most it could get her a year but again if it’s a first offense it’s likely to be something like jail diversion.

Maybe if the fact the attack was based on religion is allowed in it might go a little farther but still there’s very little chance of a jail sentence. (max sentence would be 1 year and a $1000 fine)

The bigger thing is getting FSU to punish her. That is far more likely to sting than the justice system.

Community service – sweeping the sidewalks in front of local synagogues or cleaning up a local holocaust memorial monument. Something that might expose her to other liberals who may accost her for “supporting genocide.”

The forehead is certainly a traffic-stopper.
Is that a Windows logo I see reflected in it?

Protecting everyone is the American way, as she is finding out.

Clearly this poor empty headed young person has been wound up by someone telling half truths. Whomever wound up this person (CNN, MSDNC, NBC, ABC etc) should also be held responsible for what she does, because I bet it can be shown that they lied with intent to wind up the stupid. So when the crime is committed it’s a conspiracy and we must prosecute the ring leaders too.

She is a grad student and cannot assumed to be stupid. As a grad student, she knows how to look things up, how to find information, and how to make decisions. If she doesn’t do those things well, that is on her. We assume competency. And treat her accordingly.

lefty will repeat their 2020 victories when they got in peoples faces at restaurants etc and demand that you do as they demand ( say black lives matter etc). especially when their blmplo armies are sitting in the judges chairs

She could tattoo “From The River To The Sea” on that forehead.

I first noticed @JewsFightBack on X.com last night prior to reading this article. It’s infuriating to see the number of antisemitic responses that account gets. While the world population of Jews is somewhere between 1 and 2 percent, and there are probably just as many or more pro-Zionist and -Israel supporters, the amount of antisemitic vitriol on X is eye-opening.

A couple hundred dollar fine, maybe some community service. This was really very minor.

” daddy’s little princess “–in these sorts of situations bear in mind that someone is always filming–she’s unarmed so no need to go kinetic–in our little corner of the world, striking a woman is a losing proposition nearly every time (there are a very few exceptions but not present in this particular instance)–remember, things are likely being filmed so move slowly–gently but firmly grasp either of her wrists and perform a wrist lock–you’ll have her kneeling and squealing in a few seconds–if you decide to speak don’t shout–remember the filming–speak softly, close to her ear so she’s the only one to hear clearly–then, when you decide, release her and if she continues to verbally accost you, file charges

Fire her and suspend her for a year. She would need to re-apply to grad school and be accepted. There is no work in clinical social work with a BA, a little with a Master’s, but to make any money with it you have to have the doctorate. Then there is a 50/50 chance of never making it out of academia.

Buckie’s in hiring.

I thought MSW was a terminal degree.
