Florida State U Investigating Female Student Athlete Caught on Camera Harassing Jewish Student
“The woman seen in the video is now prohibited from returning to campus, according to FSU’s statement.”
A shocking video making the rounds on social media shows what appears to be a female athlete from Florida State University harassing a Jewish student and even grabbing at him physically.
The video was quickly noticed by administrators at the school and members of the Trump administration. To say that the female student is in a bit of trouble is an understatement.

FSU student under investigation after incident draws fire from antisemitism awareness group
Florida State University is investigating a case of “antisemitic harassment” captured in a viral video that hours later would draw the attention of the U.S. attorney general.
In a short video clip, shared by a group that fights antisemitism, a woman is seen flicking off and yelling at a man sitting inside what appears to be the Leach Student Recreation Center. She approaches the man who is wearing an Israel Defense Forces shirt as he’s filming her and begins yelling.
“[Expletive] Israel, free Palestine,” the student says as she appears to bump the man or bat the phone away. “Put it on [expletive] Barstool FSU, I really don’t give a [expletive]. You’re an ignorant [expletive] son of a [expletive].”
It was not clear what occurred or what was said before the 8-second video was filmed.
The group, Stop Anti-Semitism, flagged FSU President Richard McCullough on the social media post saying the “assault warrants immediate expulsion.”

The school must have seen the writing on the wall, because they responded quickly.

FSU responds to alleged antisemitic incident on campus
FSU issued a statement Thursday evening stating that it is actively addressing the altercation. It says FSU interviewed both students involved. The matter is being reviewed for potential criminal charges, and for charges under the FSU Student Code of Conduct.
The woman seen in the video is now prohibited from returning to campus, according to FSU’s statement.
According to FSU’s statement, “Florida State University strongly condemns antisemitism in all forms and follows Florida law, which protects Jewish students and employees from discrimination motivated by antisemitism, harassment, intimidation and violence.”
It also notes that support services have been offered to the man “on an immediate and ongoing basis.” Others in need of such resources are encouraged to reach out to the University’s counseling and Psychological services Department.

It was not a strong enough attack to warrant jail time. Some profanity, slapping his phone away, and ending up by shoving him would hardly endanger an IDF veteran. But it certainly makes her continued presence at FSU problematic.
How can you say the crime(s) does not warrant jail time? It was assault and battery with a hat crime addition. I think it should be at least 6 months in jail with a fine.
Consider that in today’s America a mob beating a man senseless over, at most, a drunken exchange of insults and slaps is seen as acceptable if the mob is expressing a hate the left likes, and this will result in nothing.
If FSU does anything, she’ll land at another university with no problem.

Same. My parents had one simple, fair rule on profanity — my brother and I were free to use any word we heard one of them use. I’d suggest a disturbing the peace for the language and simple battery, plus whatever enhancements come for the ‘hate crime’ context. These aggressive young women act as they have impunity to do so. Well past time for consequences and repercussions and sooner or later someone will deliver them… if they do this to wrong person they might get more than they want to endure.
To this point they have had impunity because of the social norms that protect young women. If these aggressive young women start facing consequences for their actions they will cease to be so aggressive and might even become timid.
The social strictures have already changed. For some time now women who seek/initiate confrontation automatically lose the benefit of the ‘weaker sex/I’m just a girl’ card. As far back as 1992 this was part of the culture; the House of Pain song ‘Jump Around’ highlights this with the lyric
‘If your girl steps to me I’m smacking the 304’.
The issue is this change hasn’t been universal…but it is getting close and everyone who mouths off or worse puts their hands on someone else is now fair game if you pick the wrong the person to mess with. Since you don’t know their perspective the best policy is to be polite and keep your hands to yourself unless you’re willing to accept the full but unknown consequences the person you decided to mess with chooses to inflict upon you in retaliation. No whining.
The social norms still favor the young woman doing the assault.
The victim did the right thing, you could see police are handling the situation and she has gone from college athlete to suspended and awaiting expulsion and if she still wants to be doctor/lawyer/biologist/geologist/nurse etc after her penalty everyone will have the transcript saying she is a violent racist bully and criminal.
Women abusing those social norms are one of the many things the police exist for but they are very clearly still fully in effect in the mainstream culture.
The ‘official’ presumptions sure….but not the norms on the street. Most still have a basic threshold test; don’t hit a ‘Lady’ which is far different than don’t hit a woman….primarily b/c a ‘Lady’ displays feminine not masculine traits, doesn’t speak aggressively or make threats and certainly doesn’t put a hand on others. Some have zero tolerance. This seems especially so for generational cohorts younger than Gen X. Do some young women act aggressively then try to play the victim card ‘don’t hit me b/c I’m a girl’ after provoking a fight and making first contact? Sure but they do so at their peril.

Y’all should get out more. I’ve seen on multiple occasions a woman provoke a fight with words followed by putting her hands on the wrong dude who ultimately delivered a righteous ass kicking which adjusted her attitude very quickly. We watched and laughed b/c she got exactly what she deserved. No serious injuries, no EMT needed but a very thorough physical humiliation of women who thought they were physical superior of the men they attacked.

I suspect that a large part of why this is true is because in general young women are immune from the physical consequences of their actions as physical retaliation would be seen as wrong and ungentlemanly. Knowing that they are immune from the consequences of their actions allows them to cross lines of behavior that should not be crossed.

Grad student. After that point in the story I didn’t need to read anymore. Here’s the thing, FSU should be looking at the Professor she was working for too. Next they need to interview the students in and classes she was teaching. How anti-Semitic was she in class? Is her Professor spouting the same nonsense? If she is expelled which University will allow her to continue her grad program? If she has to find work in the private sector who will hire her?
