Five Virginia School Districts Labeled ‘High Risk’ Over Title IX Violations

An investigation found that all these school districts have policies that allow students to use facilities based on their gender identity.

Secretary of Education Linda McMahon announced that the department has categorized five Virginia school districts as “high risk” for federal funding due to Title IX violations.

An investigation found that all these school districts have policies that allow students to use facilities based on their gender identity.

These include:

  • Alexandria City Public Schools
  • Arlington Public Schools
  • Fairfax County Public Schools
  • Loudoun County Public Schools
  • Prince William County Public Schools

The high-risk status means all federal funding “is done by reimbursement only.”

“Additionally, to ensure that grantees expend federal funds consistent with federal law, the Department is placing these Divisions on reimbursement status for all Department funds including formula funding, discretionary grants, and impact aid grants, totaling over $50 million,” according to the press release. “The Divisions will now be required to pay their education expenses up front and then request reimbursement for expenditures to access funds obligated by the Department.”

These schools refuse to abide by science. There are two sexes: male and female.

That is it.

This morning, I wrote about the Loudoun school district suspending the two boys who felt uncomfortable with a female in the locker room. Not only was she in the locker room, but she was also filmed inside the locker room.

The female hasn’t faced any punishment as far as I can tell.

“States and school districts cannot openly violate federal law while simultaneously receiving federal funding with no additional scrutiny. The Northern Viriginia School Divisions that are choosing to abide by woke gender ideology in place of federal law must now prove they are using every single federal dollar for a legal purpose,” said U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon. “We have given these Northern Virginia School Divisions every opportunity to rectify their policies which blatantly violate Title IX. Today’s accountability measures are necessary because they have stubbornly refused to provide a safe environment for young women in their schools.”

Trump signed an executive order mainly to protect female sports and spaces.

But the executive order protects single-sex sports and spaces. The Loudoun incident is a rarity because 99% of the time, the story is about males in female sports and spaces.

Don’t forget Loudoun didn’t do anything when a male sexually assaulted a girl in the female bathroom.

I am tired of this. This transgender insanity is the one hill I will die on.

Every one of the counties has direct contact contagion with Washington DC, or through another county on the list.

These are all of the counties in Virginia that surround Washington DC. These are where the federal workers live and commute into the city.

I have felt like an outsider in many things during my decades in public education but situations like these make me question why I joined this profession and glad I’ll soon be leaving it. Those districts in Virginia may be more blatant about it, however, they are far from alone.

Remember that federal funding for public schools is mostly important to poorer school districts, and NoVa schools are among the wealthiest in the country. I bet you these counties combined probably have school budgets totaling over $2 billion, so putting $50 million on “reimbursement only” doesn’t scare them. That’s no doubt why they feel free to thumb their noses at federal law.

Some of us vile rethuglicans occasionally see lists of the richest counties in the nation, and these counties listed here seem familiar to me. It seems that people and organizations that have gotten rich sucking at the Federal teat feel that they are too special to need to conform with Federal law.

How about continue with a DoJ Civil rights investigation and follow up with rarely used criminal charges that are permitted for those violations ‘under color of law’ even where no force, trafficking or kidnapping occurred.

Of course, these are the counties and municipalities that consistently vote Democrat and thereby flip Virginia from red to blue.
Let’s stop the semantics game and just label the facilities male or female.
