‘Who Will Pick Our Cotton?’: Cory Booker Slammed for Video Promising to Protect Illegal Aliens
X user responds: “Mannnn you’re really embracing your party’s forefathers who launched a Civil War because they were worried about who would pick their cotton, wash their bedsheets, and cook their meals.”
The left cannot stop admitting that they only want illegal aliens for cheap slave labor.
Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) posted on X:
The hands that feed us.
We see you.
We will fight to protect you.

I have no words. My jaw dropped when I saw the post. I know people like Booker lack self-awareness, but still. A black man promoting cheap labor in the fields.
Does anyone around him ever tell him, “This is not a good idea.”
Also, um, America has a visa program that allows people to enter this country for agricultural work: H-2A Temporary Agricultural Workers.
Everyone had the same basic response: “Thanks for admitting you support slave labor.”
Others pointed out the illegal aliens who have murdered Americans, trafficked other illegal aliens, and brought drugs into the country.
Someone said the quote Booker used came from a Confederate general, but I cannot find any information on it. If you know, please tell me!
Cory Booker quoting a Confederate general was not on my bingo card today, but should have been https://t.co/w7TJ5bU3sw

I’m not sure why you guys think this is a great look.
A permanent, race-based slave class with no legal recourse that undercuts the economics of working families is not worth fighting to keep.
Hold on … that sounds awfully familiar https://t.co/0GH4MRFXMl

A political ad in favor of slave labor. What a time to be alive. https://t.co/HLyy12vAAb

That’s asparagus, not cotton.
The asparagus identifies as cotton.
Tastes better. Just ask Yossarian (Catch 22 reference)
Um, I believe that was actually Milo Minderbinder.
Yeah, that guy may be feeding somebody, but it’s not me.
Which is pretty easy to grow and it is a perennial. Once established it produces for 10-15 years.
I had some volunteer in a rose garden where I really didn’t want them, and it took me five years to keep it from growing back.

My experience with Mexicans are that they have far better work ethics than the majority of American blacks. They also have a lower crime rate.
Maybe we can exchange those who do not like America for immigrants with good work ethics?

If only the Democratic Party would fight as hard for America and it’s citizens as they do for illegal aliens.
Not just black Democrats. I get the same or similar stupid remarks from white Republicans. One in particular keeps asking me “who cuts your lawn?” Well it so happens we cut our own lawn, and there’s a lot of lawn to cut. We bought riding lawn mower. We had a lawn service but they didn’t do a great job. Every two weeks a bunch of Mexicans would make a quick run. No trimming. In less than two years the money we save pays for the mower. Plus we do a much better job.
I keep telling him your taxes pay for benefits alien invaders get, so the labor is not as cheap as it seems. Besides who cut our laws and picked our crops between 1925 and 1965 when we had little immigration? Americans picked crops in the old days. Moreover a lot of teens got their introduction to the world of work doing menial jobs like delivering newspapers, cutting lawns, shoveling snow, waiting on tables etc.
Finally there is no such thing as a labor shortage, only a shortage at a given wage. Get rid of the alien invaders and farm wages will rise and farm automation will eventually take over.
get rid of welfare and some people will work a legit job
Yep. The labor force participation rate is roughly 63%. The There’s supposedly over 32 million able bodied adults who are draw Medicaid but are subject to lose of eligibility b/c they are not working or in school/training for the minimum required 20 hours per week. Gotta go where jobs exist if you can’t find one close to present location, just like everyone else.
There’s certainly no need for illegal aliens. There’s an entire visa category specifically created to cater to the agricultural sector, H-2A. If any farmer, processor or any other AG employer is failing to hire US Citizens or use the visa program set aside for them then put their ass in prison. use civil asset forfeiture to seize everything used in the multiple crimes; immigration violations, failure to submit verified I-9 and almost certainly fraud for SSA IN, unemployment IN, federal and state tax withholding.
Our lawn (which we never wanted in the first place) was such a pain in the butt to maintain, until we got some undocumented, unpaid Mexicans to maintain it. Now it’s like a putting green. They do occasional weeding and pruning also, but only when it tastes right.
Booker would be one of the Negros (the old acceptable term) who upon being granted freedom would have had his own Negro slaves work his land. Such an elitist.
Hypocrite, never elitist. Elitism implies talent.
Booker knows which side of the bread his butter is on.
After somebody bakes his bread and churns his butter for him
The far left side of course.
It’s the Martha’s Vineyard, Hamptons, Beverly Hills and Silicon Valley Dhimmi-crat elites who worry about a shortage of illegal alien labor to maintain their palatial abodes and properties — certainly not middle class Americans.
Is there anything more bigoted and racists than only.iegals can do some jobs. If we stopped make welfare profitable many would do these jobs.
Who will pick our cotton? Eli Whitney.
“Ger your cotton-pickin’ hands off my gin.”
