Laid Off State Department Staffer Leaves “Resist Fascism” Message for Remaining Colleagues

“This is literally superpower suicide. These are some of the most talented public servants doing critical work. Champagne corks are popping in Beijing and Moscow.”

The U.S. State Department issued layoff notices to more than 1,300 employees on Friday, in keeping with President Donald Trump’s pledge to streamline the federal government and reduce bureaucratic bloat.

Needless to say, Democrats, former diplomats, and mainstream media outlets strongly opposed the move and did not hesitate to voice their criticism.

The video below captured the emotional scene in the State Department lobby as staffers bade farewell to their colleagues.

Former diplomats lamented the news:

Susan Rice, who is best remembered for making the rounds on five cable news shows the Sunday after four Americans were killed in the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attacks and claiming the violence appeared to be a “spontaneous reaction” to an anti-Islamic video circulating on the internet, responded predictably to the firings:

This is literally superpower suicide. These are some of the most talented public servants doing critical work. Champagne corks are popping in Beijing and Moscow after they already emptied the wine cellars celebrating the end of USAID.

Somehow, Susan, I think we’ll survive.

Nicholas Burns, a Harvard professor and the Biden administration’s ambassador to China, opined, “These career American diplomats served our country well, were non-partisan and did not deserve to be fired at the height of their careers. We’ll be weaker without them. Historic mistake.

He added, “The mass firing of American diplomats will weaken the U.S. globally and is a gift to China.”

Lo and behold, one of the departing employees left behind some words of advice to her former co-workers. Taped to a mirror, the message read, “Colleagues, if you remain: RESIST FASCISM. Remember the oath you vowed to uphold.”

Consider, if you will, the following examples of the very real fascist deeds of the Biden administration.

Does anyone recall the brief rise and fall of the Disinformation Governance Board, which was led by Nina Jankowicz — the same official who famously sang about “fake news” to the tune of “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”?

Or then-Attorney General Merrick Garland’s characterization of parents who spoke up at school board meetings as “domestic terrorists”?

Firing military personnel and health care providers who refused to take the experimental COVID vaccine?

Many of us do — which explains the derisive responses from conservatives shown below.

Over the past decade, the Left has normalized the most preposterous ideas imaginable. We’ve been told that men can become women — and even get pregnant, that a Trump victory would signal the end of democracy in America, and that asking voters to show ID at the ballot box is somehow racist. And the list goes on. Meanwhile, the legacy media have eagerly amplified these narratives, shaming anyone who refuses to parrot their talking points or dares to question them.

However, as the influence of the legacy media steadily declines and alternative news sources continue to grow, more Americans on the Right are standing up and pushing back against this manufactured reality. When the downsizing of the State Department staff is hysterically labeled “fascism,” it becomes clear just how detached from reality these accusations have become. Thankfully, the growing chorus of independent voices is calling out these absurdities, reminding us that sanity and common sense still have a place in public discourse.

“LITERALLY!”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Hilarious. They are so full of themselves.

The poor things. Now, they have to go out in the real world and find a real job.

Same number of CPS teachers were laid off yesterday. The world didn’t end. It won’t end because 1500 state department workers were laid off. They are so self-centered thinking they’ll be missed.

Wasn’t Susan Rice the official that was part of the surveillance abuse? Doing hundreds of 702 searches on the Dem’s perceived enemies?

AI can replace 90% of the pencil pushers

bawatkins in reply to healthguyfsu. | July 12, 2025 at 6:47 pm

Paredo principle, the square root of the number of people do 80% of the work. Square root of 1500 is ~39. 39 people do 80% of the work, another 39 do 16% of the work, 1420 of the 1500 don’t do anything useful, AI can replace the 80 that do something.

AI in its current form lacks common sense – otherwise it would know better than to council “best methods” to a suicidal user, give imaginary cites on scientific papers and legal documents, or a host of other ludicrous mistakes that have been reported.

OC given recent history I’m sure many State Dept lifers also lack common sense. But replacing lack of CS with lack of CS doesn’t address the issue.

Ai is good at very specific things. For example, sifting through large piles of data and pointing out cases that humans should look at further because they meet certain criteria. That, its actually pretty good at. Other things, not so much.

Trump is the worst fascist in history. A true fascist would NEVER do anything to shrink government or reduce it’s power in even the slightest.

Props for being one of the few now using the word who knows what it means, unlike every oxygen-wasting sh*tlib walking the planet.

Fascism, unlike the Marxism it broke from, isn’t only about big government. It’s about big government, big business, and big unions, all working together and controlling everyone and everything. So I can see a scenario where a government with total control might turn fascist and spin off some of its power to a select few businessmen and union leaders.

      4rdm2 in reply to Milhouse. | July 13, 2025 at 4:00 am

Big business and big union are generally, wait for it, pro democrat,

      4rdm2 in reply to Milhouse. | July 13, 2025 at 4:01 am

Even if it spun off some of its power, it would only do so after accumulating quite a bit of power to spin off, so it’s still unlikely it wouldn’t be ‘big government’

        Milhouse in reply to 4rdm2. | July 13, 2025 at 5:13 am

Well of course not. If it weren’t big government it wouldn’t be fascist.

        Milhouse in reply to 4rdm2. | July 13, 2025 at 5:18 pm

it would only do so after accumulating quite a bit of power to spin off,

What part of “with total control” is not clear?

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | July 13, 2025 at 5:17 pm

I see some people don’t like what fascism is; I guess they prefer the fascism that exists only in their imaginations and not in the real world. Or maybe they are fascists, and don’t like the truth about them being exposed.

This alone tells us firing these snakes was the right action.

“Democrats, former diplomats, and mainstream media outlets strongly opposed the move: Blinken and Rice oppose it. All signs that it is the right move. My only question is, why so few??

Conservative Beaner | July 12, 2025 at 8:37 pm

Oh the horror. No more parties, no more feeling of being important and no more playing solitaire all day on the computer.

henrybowman | July 12, 2025 at 8:39 pm

Resist employment, dickweed.

destroycommunism | July 12, 2025 at 9:48 pm

b/c the left ran/runs the pro communist campaign with the overwhelming help of the msm

we have to work 10x harder to short circuit their efforts

Those supporting the laid-off useless eaters should themselves have been handed pink slips.

So former, and still hidden State Department employees have no idea of the terms Fascism or Marxism mean.

Now lets try to figure out who the isolationist who delayed American munitions shipments to Ukraine was and remove him to.

People who are too ate up with the dipsh*t to use and/or spell “too” or its homonyms properly are people for whose opinions I wouldn’t give two sh*ts.

This was a 2% cut. 2 freaking percent, after they grew by nearly 40% in the last 20 years.

The only thing their crying clapping sign posting tantrum demonstrates is that they need to cut A LOT more of these overpaid, coddled, leftist babies.
