In what reads less like grassroots support and more like ideological laundering, the group “Jews for Zohran”—formed to deflect antisemitism accusations against anti-Israel NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani—is being spearheaded by the niece of a Marxist billionaire with deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
Meet Alicia Singham Goodwin, who helped launch “Jews for Zohran” in January as part of a coordinated effort to give Mamdani political cover while attempting to sway Jewish voters.
Marxist tycoon Neville “Roy” Singham‘s niece Alicia Singham Goodwin serves as political director of lefty nonprofit Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, which in January launched Jews for Zohran.
“We, like, had our own voter file . . . and for phone banks that were only Jewish voters, and had, like, Jews talking to Jews,” Singham Goodwin, 33, said in a July 1 interview on WBAI. “We developed early on these talking points about antisemitism and a way for volunteers to engage.”
Singham Goodwin is no ordinary activist. Her uncle, Neville Roy Singham, is a tech billionaire and self-avowed Marxist who relocated to Shanghai after selling his company, Thoughtworks, for $785 million in 2017. Since then, he’s poured millions into activist organizations aligned with Beijing’s messaging. Her father, Daniel Goodwin, was an executive and legal counsel at Thoughtworks. Her mother, Shanti Singham,Roy’s sister, is a department chair at East China Normal University, a Chinese state-run institution, and an advocate for China’s Confucius Institutes abroad.
A leader in the NYC Democratic Socialists of America, Singham Goodwin’s social media shows her posing with Mamdani and with her uncle’s wife Jodie Evans, founder of the Singham-funded leftist group CodePink.
Since the $785 million sale of Thoughtworks in 2017, Roy Singham has installed himself in Shanghai and bankrolled groups pushing Beijing’s agenda.
The campaign is reportedly working with NYC Comptroller Brad Lander and Rep. Jerry Nadler to pressure more Jewish elected officials—such as Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Dan Goldman—into endorsing Mamdani, despite his long history of inflammatory rhetoric.
Former Queens Democratic City Councilman Rory Lancman warned of the dangerous precedent being set by mainstreaming Mamdani’s platform.
Former Queens Democratic City Councilman Rory Lancman called the effort “frightening” given Mamdani’s defense of the “globalize the Intifada” slogan.
“The demonization of Israel leads to the demonization of Jews who support Israel, which is overwhelmingly the majority of Jews in the U.S.,” Lancman told The Post. “Receiving the endorsement of Jewish elected officials represents a normalization of the demonization of Israel and the demonization of Jews that naturally flows from that.”
Twitter had thoughts on the matter:
BREAKING: The niece of the China-based billionaire reportedly funding left-wing protest groups in the U.S. led the “Jews for Zohran” Mamdani campaign.
This is a foreign psyop happening in plain sight—and we’re all just supposed to pretend it’s normal. pic.twitter.com/MoFViSVDsG

Jews for Mamdani… good grief. there ain't no way this group came about organically.

Color me not surprised. China is not our friend and never has been.

Meanwhile, Singham Goodwin remains at the helm of a campaign that uses Jewish identity not to defend Jews, but to shield a candidate who champions movements hostile to them. That the operation is tied to foreign-aligned billionaires and ideological operatives should be deeply troubling to anyone concerned about outside influence, antisemitism, or the weaponization of identity politics.

Wait, what.
Like sigh, like what a maroon.
I am imagining the vocal fry and sentences ending in uprising pitch? Like, a QUEStionnnnn?
“The demonization of Israel leads to the demonization of Jews who support Israel, which is overwhelmingly the majority of Jews in the U.S.,” Lancman told The Post. “Receiving the endorsement of Jewish elected officials represents a normalization of the demonization of Israel and the demonization of Jews that naturally flows from that.”
Bravo to Rory Lancman for stating out loud what everybody is trying to avoid. The liberal Jews in America are the tip of the spear of today’s anti-semiticism. The two Israeli Embassy staffers, one Israeli and one American, killed this May in DC were shot by an assassin who shouted “Free Palestine!”
Exactly where do liberal Jews believe their support of Palestine will lead?
Progressive in this country and in Israel believe in peace at any price. Stupid yes I know. It would be fine if they were all institutionalized but there are too many and they vote,
“peace at any price.”
See you and raise you a “lobotomy sends them home.”
The Kennedy’s would approve.
Not stupid. Just mistaken. Tikkun Olam (“Repairing the world”) is indelibly etched into the Jewish soul. 2,000 years ago, the religious leaders of Israel (or “Palestine” to use the Roman word) thought the Messiah would be a military leader who would free the Jews, and the world, of Rome. Today, the religious leaders are looking for a social leader who will heal the hearts of men.
Unfortunately for both group, they fail to recognize that the Messiah has already come and will come again. And yes, there were and are Jews who recognize, acknowledge, and accept that Yeshua (Jesus) was and is that Messiah.
The word messiah derives from the Hebrew word for anointed, which translates to christ in Greek. Only two kinds of individuals were anointed in Israel/Judea: the High Priest and the king. When Jews have looked forward to a messiah, it was to a national leader, not to a figure identified with the Divine.
Not into mine. I believe this is a phenomenon in the reform community that probably started with the 60s civil rights movement and opposition to the Vietnam war and
accelerated with the training of women as rabbis and women entering the work place in large numbers. It is a stupid idea, illogical, and impossible to accomplish and as usual it is done without regard to what anyone else thinks or wants.
No, it isn’t. Similar phrasing can be found in earlier sources, but not as some central principal; but that exact phrase in that form is not found anywhere until the “Progressive” left adopted and pushed it in the 1960s and forward.
The messiah was never expected to free the world; only the Jews. Jews expect a king who will field an army and establish Israel as a truly independent kingdom, not a vassal of the USA and not afraid of any enemies, able to prosper on its own. And having done so, he will have a peaceful reign and then die and pass the kingdom to his son and so on.
That is the only messiah Jews have ever believed in or will ever believe in. Had your god done that task the Jews would have accepted him as king, but not as any more than that; since he didn’t do it, we don’t accept him as anyone special. Accepting him as a god was never in the cards and never can be. We already have a God and don’t need another one, let alone two more.
If you want to know where “tikkun olam” came from, and how it has corrupted the “Progressive” movements, read Jonathan Neumann’s To Heal the World?: How the Jewish Left Corrupts Judaism and Endangers Israel.
They expect it to lead to the destruction of Israel and the deaths of Jews. Excepting themselves, of course.
Nadler is a fat disgusting pig and anyone that votes for him is a certified loon.
If the Chinese are involved then the people tied to them should be forced to register as foreign agents. I don’t know what else can be done to them and for that matter the politicians they are funding and controlling.
FARA only applies if they’re being paid by the Chinese government, which it appears they’re not. They’re being paid by a US citizen who lives in China and supports the Chinese government, but isn’t living off it. Even if he weren’t a US citizen, he’s still not a foreign government.
Except when the people are the government.
Americans are not expected to work for the benefit of the government.
Chinese are expected to work for the interests of the CCP no matter where they are or their occupation
agree
but americans do work FOR the government
lose your home if you dont pay taxes>>working for the government
the welfare state consumes what % now of our wages/taxes?
isnt medicaid ssecurity somewheres north of 70% of the “budget”??
The people are not the government. If they were it would be a democracy. The people are controlled by the government. At least the locals are; this American billionaire isn’t controlled by the government, he chooses to live there and can leave whenever he likes.
But even if a local person were paying them, that wouldn’t make them agents of the government, and they wouldn’t have to register.
I support Trump on almost everything.
Congratulations on seeing why I don’t support him in leaving the CCP in control of the means multiple American generations communicate and get their news. If China won’t sell it is time to enforce the law on Tik Tok.
“Jews for Zohran” is like “Gestapo for Jews”. I don’t believe one single Jew will fall for this.
“Jews for Zohran” could work as a ‘tell’ to smile politely, back away slowly, then run. Which is not the same as falling for it.
Too many stupid Jews do fall for it. Maybe knowing that the people running and financing it are not Jews might jolt them awake, but probably not.
Like Queers for Palestine, it is closely associated with Chickens for Colonel Sanders.
Jewish Voice for Peace, Code Pink and the like. Do they really change any minds with their antics and deception? Let these idiots shoot their wads and spread love and cheer among each other. To most normal people, including Jews, these narcissists have no influence. Remeber how much Harris spent again?
good to report this
but dont care
the enemy of freedom are sickos
is she actually Jewish ? her uncle an mother don’t seem to be
No, she is not Jewish.
I would bet that most members of her organization, “Jews for Racial and Economic Justice”, and also most members of the Alex-Soros-funded “Jewish Voice for Peace” and “If Not Now”, are not Jewish.
yeah
but it plays sooooo well in the hands and minds of many
Self loathing Jews of America
Or, in this case, Jew-loathing non-Jews of America.
So, an AstroTurfed organization claiming support for a politician from the people the politician wants to destroy.
Excuse me while I go borrow Sarah Hoyt’s shocked face…
Sounds like chickens for KFC?
I am interested in how Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Dan Goldman are going react. The prevailing winds seem to inform their principles.
Chicoms subsidize most of this crap.
