Mohamed Sabry Soliman, Suspect in Colorado Terror Attack, is an Illegal Alien
Soliman’s visa expired in late March.
Fox News learned authorities identified the Boulder, CO, suspect as an illegal alien:

I’m told Mohamed Sabry Soliman arrived at LAX on 8/27/22 on a B1/B2 nonimmigrant visa with an authorized stay through 2/26/23, but he overstayed & never left.
I’m told on 9/29/22, he filed some sort of claim with USCIS, potentially an asylum claim, and on 3/29/23, USCIS under the Biden admin gave him work authorization, which expired on 3/28/25.

Soliman first arrived in the U.S. after landing at Los Angeles International Airport on Aug. 27, 2022, with a non-immigrant visa.
He was authorized to stay through Feb. 2, 2023, but never left. On Sept. 9, 2022, he filed a claim with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
The FBI raided Soliman’s home on Sunday night.
The FBI is at a location in El Paso County, CO, conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity related to the attack on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder. As this is an ongoing investigation, no additional information is available at this time.

According to The New York Times, the FBI allowed a woman into the house with the agents. A neighbor said “a family with three children lived there.”
Soliman stands accused of attacking the “Run for Their Lives” pro-Israel vigil, a weekly activity to demand the release of Israeli hostages from Hamas.
Soliman faces seven charges:
- Murder in the first degree – deliberation with intent
- Murder in the first degree – extreme indifference
- Crimes against at-risk adults/elderly
- 1st degree assault – non-family
- 1st degree assault – heat of passion
- Criminal attempt to commit class one and class two felonies
- Use of explosives or incendiary devices during felony.
I don’t know how Soliman faces murder charges since no one died.
Supposedly, Soliman waited for the group to show up for their weekly vigil.
The suspect set the victims on fire as he screamed, “Free Palestine.” The eight victims, four women and four men, are aged 52 to 99. One is in critical condition.

I am not faulting the victims of this terrorist attack, but, it is imperative that American Jews begin training with and carrying firearms on their person, especially if they are going to engage in overt protesting activity that will expose them to attention and potential attacks from goose-stepping Islamofascists/Muslim supremacists and their non-Muslim, Dhimmi-crat enablers/cheerleaders/allies/fellow travelers.
The climate in the U.S., today, is unfortunately such that the only thing that can prevent attacks such as this one are armed Jews who are capable of responding to imminent terrorist threats and violence with prompt and accurate deadly force.

Soliman is a “White Egyptian” who stayed in the US as a guest of the Biden Administration.
Since he was granted a work permit, the “News” will tell us that he was here legally.
And, if ICE had deported him last week, no doubt the Media would have highlighted all the crying family and friends. Especially, the children.

Let’s get this correct. Soliman overstayed his visa by two years and yet at no time did ICE track him down, detain him, and deport him for overstaying his B1/B2 nonimmigrant visa. Let that sink in. Two years in this country illegally on an expired visa and ICE didn’t do a thing to remove Soliman. Talk about incompetent. Guess ICE is more interested in going after the easy targets (i.e.. the ones already in jail) than tracking them down at a large. So the whole thing could have been avoided if only ICE had done its job at some point in the last two years and removed Soliman from the country. But there you go and here we are.
He arrived in Aug 22 approved to stay until end of Feb ’23. He applied for and received some sort of deferment from removal and was given a work permit effective from March ’23 thru end of March ’25. So really ICE only had April and May of this year to find and nab this guy.
And if he was keeping his nose clean then he would have been an extremely low priority. ICE’s priority has to be the criminals, the gangsters, the ones known to be dangerous. Until just now there was no indication that he was dangerous.

I saw a report that he traveled to Boulder to commit this attack, but it didn’t say from where. If he traveled from another state, would that be sufficient grounds for federal jurisdiction?

Whatever his original purpose in entering the USA was, it was not to commit terrorist attacks. He’s been here nearly three years and only now committed one.
And there’s nothing unusual about someone checking a weapon into luggage on a flight. There was no reason for TSA to do anything about it. Even if he were flying directly into DC, and would be breaking the local (unconstitutional) laws as soon as he retrieved his weapon and left the airport, that would not be any of the TSA’s business.

He isn’t alone as a VISA overstay, roughly 30% of those unlawfully present in the USA are from overstayed VISA. IMO the Feds need to increase the individual penalties for this action as well as impose penalties on:
1. Nation of origin by slashing the # of VISA granted
2. Employers of VISA holders slash or eliminate employer eligibility to request VISA. Same thing for Univ and Student VISA. Ditto for criminal acts for these the pseudo sponsors.
3. Tourist VISA gotta have a $3K ‘bond’ refundable on arrival back home and a paid up return ticket and airlines must notify Feds when tourist attempt to cancel, must be done in person at airport of departure or notify Feds when Joe doesn’t show up to board. Then ruthlessly track these folks down without any mercy.
4. Remove eligibility for asylum claims or any other deferred deportation for VISA overstay and those who cross illegally. Make the claim in a US Consulate or Embassy or be ineligible. No exemptions,no grace, no mercy; otherwise some future Admin will misuse it to allow a new wave of illegal immigrants.
Chief, why do you constantly and consistently spell “visa” as if it were the brand name of a credit card? The terrorist may or may not have had a VISA card, but it’s irrelevant. The point is that he had a visa, which was extended until March and then expired.
