Jamie Raskin Mocked Over ‘No Kings’ Speech Given Under ‘Pride’ Flag on Flag Day
“Imagine throwing a ‘No Kings’ protest after your party refused to hold a primary, coronated Kamala without a single vote, sued to keep RFK Jr. off the ballot, and attempted to remove Trump from state ballots only after your illegal lawfare scheme failed.”
Though the “No Kings” protests that took place on Saturday didn’t seem to live up to the hype, one gathering in particular is getting some attention in light of an image from the event shared on the participant’s Twitter/X account.
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), who was the designated lead impeachment manager in President Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial in January 2021, gave a speech at the Philadelphia rally where he fired up the TDS-suffering crowd with talk of impeachment “the moment that somebody in public office begins to act like the master of the people”:
We’ve got no kings and we’ve got no slaves, we’ve got no masters and no serfs. […] The moment that somebody in public office begins to act like the master of the people, that is the moment to evict, eject, reject, impeach, try, convict, and start all over again.

A photo posted on Raskin’s Twitter/X page from the event early in the day Saturday, however, caused some well-deserved snickering and mockery when folks noticed that the flag he was speaking under on Flag Day of all days was… the Pride flag:

Obviously, the photo was intentionally taken that way because you see more of the pole and the flag than you do Raskin, who looks small standing next to it.
I wasn’t the only one who marveled at the chutzpah of an elected official to pretend like we’re living under a king’s rule as he exercised his freedom of speech under an LGBTQ flag, free from government punishment, and on one of the most patriotic days of the year to boot:

The point still stood, though. Showing allegiance to the LGBTQ flag, especially on Flag Day, just was not a good look. At all. I should also note that as of this writing, the photo tweet that is pinned to the top of his Twitter page is the one with the Pride flag.
Others pointed to kingly-like behavior that Democrats, including Raskin, seem to be okay with:

Not to mention how the DNC essentially rigged the presidential primary process against Bernie Sanders in 2016 so they could coronate Hillary Clinton as their nominee, as former DNC interim Chair Donna Brazile all but straight-up conceded:
“I had tried to search out any other evidence of internal corruption that would show that the DNC was rigging the system to throw the primary to Hillary, but I could not find any in party affairs or among the staff. I had gone department by department, investigating individual conduct for evidence of skewed decisions, and I was happy to see that I had found none. Then I found this agreement.”
“The funding arrangement with HFA and the victory fund agreement was not illegal, but it sure looked unethical. If the fight had been fair, one campaign would not have control of the party before the voters had decided which one they wanted to lead. This was not a criminal act, but as I saw it, it compromised the party’s integrity.”
Let’s also not forget that Raskin tried to prevent the certification of Trump’s 2016 election victory by objecting to 10 of Florida’s 29 electoral votes:

While he had the right to raise objections, we were reliably informed by Democrats after the 2020 election that, under the new Rules of Engagement, doing so made one a treasonous, “insurrection”-supporting election denier.
We could go on and on here, but I think the point has been made.
Democrats are almost always guilty of what they accuse their Republican opposition of doing. But remember, it’s always (D)ifferent when a Democrat does it, always.

If Trump had engaged in insurrection in 2021, then so has Raskin, Newsom and many others. We have murder, riots, property destruction, and many acts of violence against innocent civilians. Large numbers of criminal illegal aliens have been mobilized to obstruct the federal government, all with the encouragement of government officials of a foreign power, Mexico. Let’s not deny the obvious: we are at war with enemies both foreign and domestic. Raskin and his ilk should be arrested. Trump needs to invoke the insurrection act. If the federal government is too cowardly, then let citizen militias do it. Back in 2020, Texas Freedom Forces (a group of armed civilian volunteers) stood guard over the Cenotaph to protect it from mob vandalism. A mob similar to the mobs in LA. Let civilian militias do what ICE can’t seem to do. Our enemies need to go home, on their feet or in a box if necessary.
