Israel’s Mossad Thanks CIA for Support During Operation Against Iran’s Nuclear Program
Mossad Director David Barnea: “I want to express deep appreciation to our central ally, the CIA, for its joint operations with us.”
Israel’s intelligence service, Mossad, has thanked its U.S. counterpart, the Central Intelligence Agency, for its support in the recently concluded operation against Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
In a rare public message, Mossad’s Director David Barnea expressed his gratitude to the U.S., and particularly its foreign intelligence service, for “joint operations” and “close cooperation” in dismantling Iran’s nuclear program.
“The Iranian threat, which has endangered our security for decades, was significantly thwarted thanks to the extraordinary cooperation between the IDF, which led the campaign, and the Mossad, with the support of our ally, the United States,” the Mossad chief said Wednesday.
“I want to express deep appreciation to our central ally, the CIA, for its joint operations with us, and to its director for backing the Mossad in key decisions that enabled this mission,” he added.
The Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported Mossad chief’s remarks:
Mossad Director David Barnea thanked members of the Israeli intelligence agency for the successful operation against Iran’s nuclear facilities, ballistic missile program, and military on Wednesday.
In addition, in the opening salvo of the war, much of Iran’s top military brass was taken out, with some of their replacements eliminated in the following days.
Agents inside Iran were instrumental in taking out ballistic missile launchers and anti-aircraft systems, with Barnea also praising the Israel Defense Forces and the army’s intelligence for their part in the war. He also thanked the CIA for the close collaboration to “make the right decisions.”
Dubbed Operation Rising Lion, the 12-day war saw the destruction of much of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear facilities, culminating in the US dropping massive ornance penetrators (MOPs) against the underground Fordow enrichment facility.
The Israeli intelligence chief’s assessment of the Operation Rising Lion was shared by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The Israeli military had “achieved major accomplishments” during its operation against Iran’s nuclear program, IDF spokesman Brig. General Effie Defrin said in a press briefing on Wednesday.
“This was an operation the IDF had been preparing for over years—from planning to building the capabilities that enabled its implementation—alongside the operational experience gained during the war, which made it possible to formulate a detailed and in-depth plan,” the IDF spokesman said.
“Over the past 12 days, we have achieved major accomplishments. We degraded the military capabilities the Iranian regime has built over the years as part of its plan to destroy Israel,” he added.
The IDF spokesman maintained that it was “too early to summarize the results of the operation.”
IDF eliminates commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force in Lebanon strike
An Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon eliminated a terror commander of Hezbollah’s Iranian-armed and trained Radwan Force. On Thursday morning, “the IDF struck and eliminated the area of Baraachit in southern Lebanon, a commander in Hezbollah’s Radwan Force,” the IDF disclosed.
“Israeli Air Force jets have struck and killed Abu Ali Rida, the Hezbollah commander of the Baraachit area in southern Lebanon,” The Times of Israel reported.
Citing IDF sources, the news outlet reported that “he was responsible for planning and carrying out rocket and anti-tank missile attacks on IDF troops and commanded terror activities by Hezbollah operatives in that area.”

Probably true, but what jerks.
I kind of wonder
1) How helpful the CIA was.
2) Whether Mossad told the CIA anything.
The US does have excellent electronic intelligence but is known to leak especially considering all the deep staters still infecting it.

good guys win!!!
It is my opinion that the CIA could learn much from Mossad.
The master has complimented the student. Mossad has made big mistakes but track record is all that counts.
