Colorado Terror Suspect’s Family in Federal Custody for Questioning
Noem: “But we’re also investigating to what extent his family knew about this horrific attack, if they had any knowledge of it or if they provided support to it.”
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed that the department and ICE took Colorado terror suspect Mohamed Sabry Soliman’s family into federal custody.
Soliman is accused of attacking a pro-Israel rally with Molotov cocktails, injuring 12 people.
Noem said in a video:
Today, the Department of Homeland Security and ICE are taking the family of suspected Boulder, Colorado, terrorist’s, and the illegal alien, Mohammed Soliman into ICE custody now. Muhammad’s despicable actions will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
But we’re also investigating to what extent his family knew about this horrific attack, if they had any knowledge of it or if they provided support to it.
I am continuing to pray for the victims of this attack and for all of their families. Our thoughts and our prayers go out to all of them and I want them to know that justice will be served.
The FBI raided Soliman’s home after his capture.
Soliman is an Egyptian national. His work authorization expired at the end of March.
Soliman’s charging document mentions how his wife left their house, but delivered an iPhone 14 that belonged to Soliman and was “used by other members of their family.”
The suspect has five children, but the documents did not list their ages.
However, Soliman told law enforcement he planned the attack on the pro-Israel rally “for a year and was waiting until after his daughter graduated to conduct the attack.”

It all started with a combination of open borders, Hart-Celler, and The Great Society.
Emphasis on the destructive nature of most of the Great Society. To fix the majority of societal ills repeal those. Do that and there’s a return to consequences for bad decisions. Tough to be a ‘single mom’ without Uncle Sugar to bail out stupidity. Suddenly chastity until marriage becomes way more appealing. Especially if we automatically have CPS remove children from Parents unable/unwilling to support them themselves or with assistance of voluntary charity. Same for alimony and child support; if you decide to break up your home by ending the family unit then why would you expect to walk away with payments to support that? It only provides incentives for divorce.
Certainly didn’t help that the Great Society also required that there be no man in the house in order to receive general assistance. Presto, intact families where the husband was underemployed but contributing were broken up, and marriages were discouraged.

Yep. Many people claim to support marriage, families and the well being of children. Unfortunately our Family Court system doesn’t do any of those. Nor do our public assistance programs.
If we support marriage we should make it harder to end not easier OR at least remove incentives to be a ‘home wrecker’ sabotaging their own home and family with ‘no fault’ divorce. By all means have divorce for traditional justifications such as; infidelity, physical abuse, drunkenness/drug abuse, financial irresponsibility, lack of intimacy but keep the alimony to those cases and based on average US wages.
Children do best in an intact family. They do nearly as well with single Fathers but Single Mother households produce the majority of criminals, drug addicts and deviants. No honest data set will show otherwise. The base line should be 50/50 physical custody with zero child support. Any award of.child support should be from a finding the Father is unfit or has a career where he can’t fully 50/50 physical custody; an oil rig job as an example. The support should be based on average costs for any child not incomes. Then split by % between Mother and Father who both pay into the Court. If the primary custodial Parent goes on ‘welfare’ they are demonstrating inability to provide for their child financially aka an unfit Parent.
I suspect that most folks will disagree with my stance on modern-day decline in demanding individual responsibility b/c while they will.claim not to be a wokiesta/lefty they will allow their feelings/emotional reaction to those issues to cloud a more rational response to the failures we have now with the status quo. If it isn’t working and it ain’t, we should do something else instead, perhaps by moving back towards the more effective systems we had pre Great Society before the explosion in divorce and out of wedlock births.
When the history of the late, great USA is written–assuming there is someone to write it–there will be a long list of actions that contributed to the collapse. And, IMO, the collapse will be of a magnitude not seen in human history. Imagine the worst. It will be worse.
