MEMRI released a video of Colorado terror suspect Mohamed Sabry Soliman professing his love for jihad and hatred for Israel and America.
Soliman faces numerous charges, including federal hate crimes, for allegedly attacking a pro-Israel rally in Boulder, injuring 12 people with Molotov cocktails.

Soliman is an Egyptian national. His work authorization expired at the end of March.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed ICE took his wife and children into custody to find out how much, if any, they knew about the attack.
Soliman told law enforcement he had planned the attack for over a year.

FBI has already accurately described his motives, for which they were criticized by a former interim director. He felt the FBI couldn’t have information as good as the local authorities, who are still puzzled, do.
Why would anyone be surprised by this? If he were aware that the wrong guy happened to look at his daughter in public, he would have no problem strangling her to death to save the family’s “honor”. And the wife would dutifully stand at the door so the girl couldn’t escape, while the father and brothers squeezed the life out of her … and then, what was left of the family would sit down for a nice dinner where they would all complain about how the terrible the Jews are.

The Jewish view of God is One Who demands much (of Jews) but loves them along with the rest of mankind, and makes no demand to kill the peaceful other; the Christian view of God (as much as I, a Jew, can determine) is of a loving God who casts His Grace upon those accepting Jesus (this is not to say that Christians have not strayed from that ideal, but no one is perfect); the Muslim view of God (to me, a Jew) appears to be of a fierce warrior God Who demands that His followers force non-Muslims into submission to the Muslim interpretation of His will, and failing that, kill them.
It would seem that non-Muslims (and especially Christians and Jews who are specific targets of Muslims) need to unite against this kind of God-view that demands non-believers are to be slaughtered. If that is Islamophobic, it is with good reason that it is so.

All “revealed truth” superstitions divide the world into “believers” and “unbelievers,” the “godly” and the “ungodly,” and the “worthy” and the “unworthy.” This means that they are naturally prone to engender discrimination and violent suppression of unbelievers. Old-Testament Judaism, and Christianity through much of its history, were bloody and often genocidal. That their oppressive tendencies are currently in benign remission in the West — tempered by secular morality and political guardrails — doesn’t change their basic nature. The right circumstances and leaders could easily turn them toward violence again. Islam is just more forthright in asserting its claim to supremacy and willingness to use violence to achieve it. We would be better off without any of these superstitions.
