ABC’s Moran Suspended for Stephen Miller Smear
“An ABC journalist Terry Moran posted this absolutely vile smear of Stephen Miller. It’s dripping with hatred. Remember that every time you watch ABC’s coverage of the Trump administration.”

ABC News has suspended Terry Moran, its Senior National Correspondent, after a tweet he posted last night referring to White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller as a “world-class loser.” Miller is widely known as the architect behind much of the administration’s immigration policy. The now-deleted tweet sparked swift backlash from within the administration and across the media.
Vice President JD Vance was the first to respond publicly, calling on ABC to reprimand Moran for the tweet:
An ABC journalist @TerryMoran posted this absolutely vile smear of Stephen Miller. It’s dripping with hatred. Remember that every time you watch ABC’s coverage of the Trump administration.
As it happens, I know Stephen quite well. And he’s motivated by love of country. He’s… pic.twitter.com/hX93zKTWjy

Other members of the White House quickly followed. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, along with other members of the communications team, blasted Moran for the post:
Last night, in a since deleted post, so-called “journalist” @TerryMoran went on a rampage against Stephen Miller and called President Trump “a world class hater.”
This is unhinged and unacceptable.
We have reached out to @ABC to inquire about how they plan to hold Terry… pic.twitter.com/HsgusJEIvH

Tell me you’re the enemy of the people without telling me you’re the enemy of the people. @ABC Fire @TerryMoran. pic.twitter.com/yvNIzStPLn

Stephen Miller responded:
The most important fact about Terry’s full public meltdown is what it shows about the corporate press in America. For decades, the privileged anchors and reporters narrating and gatekeeping our society have been radicals adopting a journalist’s pose. Terry pulled off his mask.

CNN’s Brian Stelter reported on the suspension, including ABC’s official statement about the tweet:
Breaking: ABC News says senior national correspondent Terry Moran "has been suspended pending further evaluation." This since-deleted tweet is the reason for the suspension: pic.twitter.com/IeGSZFdzoY

Full statement from the news division: "ABC News stands for objectivity and impartiality in its news coverage and does not condone subjective personal attacks on others. The post does not reflect the views of ABC News and violated our standards — as a result, Terry Moran has been…

Before the suspension became public, Leavitt appeared on Fox News and increased pressure on ABC to take disciplinary action. According to Mediate:
And moments before the suspension was reported, the White House ramped up the pressure on ABC News to punish Moran. In an interview on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, press secretary Karoline Leavitt called on the network to take action against the correspondent.
This incident follows a tense interview between Moran and President Trump just weeks ago, during which Trump accused Moran of “not being very nice” in his questioning about the deportation of migrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who is now facing human trafficking charges.
Moran’s suspension is just the latest entry in a long list of media bias scandals, and once again, the lesson won’t be learned. Instead of course-correcting, major outlets will continue to double down, pretend neutrality while their top correspondents smear political targets on social media. The public sees through it, and every incident like this only confirms what millions already believe: the media isn’t just biased—it’s proudly partisan, and completely out of touch.

Let me revise LI’s headline for this article:
“ABC ‘s Moran Suspended For Reciting Beliefs Held By Everyone At ABC News”
I thought that it should be ABC’s chief Moron.
Does “suspension” just mean that he’s off on his scheduled summer vacation?
“Journalist”.
Odds are the suspension will be for oh say 2 weeks, Maybe a month. He will then be brought back quietly. Oh he will have to say the obligatory apology and statement that this is not who he is.
If that statement didn’t reflect who he is, he wouldn’t have said it.
What amazes me most is that these people STILL, TO THIS DAY, believe that deleting a post means nobody will be able to prove they said it and they can avoid consequences. That hasn’t been true for decades, but they still act like it is.
The Internet is forever, folks.
I think official pressure was a mistake. Allow ABC time to take action on its own. If that doesn’t happen, use it as a teaching moment for America – Here is the nature of the news you consume. As it is, ABC was pressured off the hook, when instead the hook should have been set.
It’s highly likely that the Trump administration will ratchet up the pressure and may even give ABC News the AP treatment until they fire this guy.
Mainstream media. Is that still a thing?
I love it when these guys screw up on Twitter. At work I used to get pissed off and dash off an email. However, I learned to read it first and then I’d tone it down to something acceptable. These guys just shoot their mouths off and can’t seem to learn to read before hitting send, and it happens again and again and again.
Te trick is that maybe he did re-read it and saw nothing wrong with it. Not a damn thing. So he sent it. He is guilty of believing his own BS..
I learned that years ago when Qualcomm units started to be installed in Semi’s for 2 way with the terminal. I’d get angry and write some message. Fortunately the unit had a “stupid button”. You hit send and it would come back “do you wish to send this y/n?” as in “are you really, really sure you want to end your job with this”? Saved me many times and a few it didn’t.
If ABC “News” were a journalistic entity, they would fire the guy right away.
If ABC “News” were a journalistic entity, they would never have hired the guy in the first place.
Judge Arthur Garrity, Lawrence O’Donnell, Chris Matthews and Terry Moran. I could go on endlessly. Ever notice how these self-loathing, nasty, America-hating, old white men are so often Thick Micks?
“ABC’s Moron Suspended for Stephen Miller Smear”
FIFY.
Not a single interview to the perverts at ABC for the entire term by an Federal employee.
Limousine Socialist
One part of me wants to stand up for Moran’s freedom of expression and against any kind of censorship.
The rational part of me, though, realizes that his actions represent ABC, and ABC has its own standards, rules, and regs. Regardless whether ABC believes what Moran wrote, they may well have rules that you don’t put those views on public display.
Sometimes you are required to waive exercise of certain rights when you sign a contract.
Morans statement about Millers spiritual agenda
reeks of a pro blmplo abc agenda being exposed and therefor
Moran letting that be “leaked” ( of course we alll know it already) is his crime
why hasnt npr pbs been defunded yet????
do any of these news orgs..on the left or right…receive tax funding???
