Mike Waltz Out as National Security Advisor, Nominated for Ambassador to UN

Trump also said Marco Rubio will serve as his new National Security Advisor.

Mike Waltz is out as President Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor. Others departed as well, including Waltz’s deputy Alex Wong.

Waltz took responsibility for including The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, in a Signal chat about the Yemen attack. From Fox News:

Waltz, who previously served as a Florida congressman and as a decorated combat Green Beret, has come under fire from Democrats and critics since March, when the Atlantic magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg published a firsthand account of getting added to a Signal group chat with top national security leaders, including Waltz, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, while they discussed strikes against Yemen terrorists.

Waltz took responsibility for the inclusion of a journalist in the group chat, telling Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, “I take full responsibility. I built the group,” he said. “It’s embarrassing. We’re going to get to the bottom of it.”

Trump nominated Waltz for UN Ambassador:

I am pleased to announce that I will be nominating Mike Waltz to be the next United States Ambassador to the United Nations. From his time in uniform on the battlefield, in Congress and, as my National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz has worked hard to put our Nation’s Interests first. I know he will do the same in his new role. In the interim, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will serve as National Security Advisor, while continuing his strong leadership at the State Department. Together, we will continue to fight tirelessly to Make America, and the World, SAFE AGAIN. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Good crazy neocon trying to pusdh Hegswich out.

According to Mark Halperin, the removal is because of unhappiness throughout the national security establishment as to how the NSC was doing, Also, that Waltz’s firing is unrelated to Signalgate, and the ‘scandal’ may have instead temporarily saved Waltz’s job.

Halperin: “The West Wing is unhappy, the State Department is unhappy…This was before Signalgate, Halperin stated. “Ironically, Signalgate may have saved Waltz’s job because the President did not want to be seen that he was giving into Jeffrey Goldberg.”

At least now, when people screw up or underperform, there is accountability and the president is actually in charge.

I figured including the press in this chat was a brilliant, unprecedented display of transparency.

What i don’t know is why these bigwigs were on a chat like a bunch of teenage girls. Ouch

This is one of those moments where patience is needed before making a comment. At first glance, it looks like he is a stand-up guy taking responsibility, but then you have the rumor about the West Wing being unhappy with him. It is better to wait until Trump speaks.

It doesn’t really say whether he’s stepping down or getting fired. Unfortunately, this might further embolden the communist propagandist fake news by letting them feel like they just got a scalp.

I wasn’t thrilled about him due to reports on other sites about his neocon credentials and tendencies……glad he’s joining the early retirement program.

Walz is a neocon Bushie who was mostly never-Trump before he decided to cozy up ot POTUS.

His departure is no loss.

Waltz didn’t take full responsibility.

“I take full responsibility. I built the group,” he said. “It’s embarrassing. We’re going to get to the bottom of it.”

Uh … yeah … They’re “going to get to the bottom of” why Mike Waltz had Jeffrey Goldberg in his contacts under a different name??? I think Waltz could just announce why that is any time he wants to TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY. Waltz pretended that Goldberg just happened to appear in his contacts (under a different name) out of nowhere … like that contact came with the phone from Apple as bloatware.

When Waltz told Laura Ingraham that “we all have contacts on our phones under incorrect names” [paraphrased from memory] I was stunned. Who the hell says something ridiculous like that? Contacts don’t just appear on the phone from out of the aether. I knew right then that he was the rotten apple. But Laura didn’t even ask him to explain that silly explanation. It was such a stupid lie that you only hear from addicts, criminals, or democrats, but Laura just moved on with the interview.

Anyway, good riddance.

Waltz to the UN

A special forces guy as UN Ambassador. I like it.

Did Trump plan this to get yank the chain of the deranged? He actually was searching for a UN Ambassador. In any event, they are like Pavlov’s dogs, so easy to salivate.
