Jen Psaki’s MSNBC Show is a Ratings Disaster in Most Important Demographic

Jen Psaki’s MSNBC Show is a Ratings Disaster in Most Important Demographic

“shed a staggering 53% of its demo viewers compared to the first episode only one day prior”

Since the night of the 2024 election, both CNN and MSNBC have been dealing with serious ratings challenges. It turns out if you keep lying to your audience, they eventually leave.

One of the ways MSNBC tried to deal with this was by having Rachel Maddow return to her hosting duties five nights a week for Trump’s first 100 days. Once that was over, the network moved Jen Psaki to the 9 p.m. Eastern hour.

Psaki got decent ratings on her first night, but it was all downhill from there.

FOX News reports:

Psaki bombs: MSNBC’s newest primetime program sheds 53% of viewers from key demo in second episode

MSNBC’s Jen Psaki bombed on Wednesday night.

Psaki took over MSNBC’s coveted 9 p.m. ET timeslot on Tuesday through Fridays this week as “The Rachel Maddow Show” returned to only airing on Mondays, after Maddow temporarily returned to airing five nights a week during President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office.

Psaki, a former Biden administration press secretary, hosted “Inside” on Sundays and Mondays, and now hosts “The Briefing” at the critical hour.

On Tuesday, Psaki’s “The Briefing” debuted with 1.2 million viewers and 139,000 in the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults aged 25-54, but her second episode on Wednesday plummeted to just over one million total viewers and only 65,000 in the demo.

MSNBC’s newest program shed a staggering 53% of its demo viewers compared to the first episode only one day prior. Psaki’s program also lost a whopping 67% of viewers between the ages of 18-49 after only one episode, as “The Briefing” averaged 113,000 on Tuesday and only 37,000 on Wednesday.

Just a reminder, Jen Psaki started negotiating for a job in media while she was still the White House press secretary.

Jen put her foot in her mouth this week, criticizing Trump on trade deals just hours before he announced a major deal with the UK.

Last week, Psaki was interviewed by Ben Smith of Semafor and claimed that she never saw signs of Biden’s decline until his disastrous debate performance last spring. That could have something to do with her ratings. She’s simply not believable.

There’s nothing wrong with opinion shows on cable news, but in Psaki’s case, you almost get a sense that her gig as a White House press secretary was nothing more than a stepping stone towards a career in media.

You can’t blame anyone for tuning her out.

Just as night follows day,

disaster follows Psaki

Hence, if you give her a show, it’s bound to be a disaster.

I don’t understand it. Psaki has shown that she can concoct and deliver fake news with the best of them. She should be killing it with MSNBC viewers.

Well, we have to take into account that while Fox News captures most of the Republican viewership, Democratic viewers are spread across multiple left-wing outlets like CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and others. That fragmentation naturally dilutes their individual Nielsen ratings compared to Fox News…

Pissaki had a small chance of success, but blew it big time when she had the odious Letitia James on and almost knelt down for her. It was a one-sided love fest that was sickening. She didn’t ask a single informative question and even said to James, “I feel your force”!

The key demographic would be viewers with an IQ over 70. She is an insufferable b$thch.

I found Jen more appealing when she was an ugly, angry, misshapen troll for Obama and, later, Biden.
All that plastic surgery and botox and stuff she got for her media career has made her look like a cheap inflatable sex doll.

Maybe I’m being dim, but Trump has been President for 100 days. And while he can plan post election, he can’t actually get people confirmed until after being sworn in. Then you have to actually negotiate trade agreements.

Seems quite a short timescale.

her most important demographic is the 4-8 yo trans crowd she hopes to attract

Perhaps she should – circle back.

Those who followed her to MSNBC did so mostly out of morbid curiosity. They are still waiting for her to actually circle back.

“Liberal commentator Jen Psaki starts her show off with a dig at Trump saying he hasn’t struck a single deal in his first 100 days of presidency. He announced the historic trade deal with the UK hours later”

All of a sudden, deadlines and statutes of limitations are crucial for Democrats to defend!

She does score well with the mentally ill leftist demo but as a group those people spend most of their disposable income on cat food and litter.
