Israeli Military Sets Up Aid Distribution Centers In Gaza Despite Threats From Hamas
Hamas threatens aid workers, vows to prevent Gazans from receiving aid.

The Israeli military has set up a news aid distribution network in Gaza aimed at providing direct humanitarian aid to Gaza residents and bypassing the terrorist group Hamas.
Despite Hamas’s threats to target aid workers and disrupt the deliveries, the military has established four distribution centers as part of a U.S.-backed initiative, the Israeli media reported Tuesday. “The Israel Defense Forces said on Tuesday that aid distribution centers had begun handing out humanitarian relief to Gazans,” the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported. “Four centers were established in recent weeks, the IDF said, in coordination with a US civil security company and by the directive of the Israeli government.”

The distribution centers, run by the U.S.-based Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), began operating after the Israeli government last week approved the resumption of aid to Gaza despite Hamas’s repeated refusal to accept a U.S.-backed temporary ceasefire in return for the release of the remaining hostages.
“As part of the ongoing efforts to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, four aid distribution centers were established in recent weeks, in accordance with the directive of the political echelon and in close coordination with the United States,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement Tuesday.
The distribution centers are supported by several foreign aid organizations and manned by a private U.S. security company. “As part of this process, four centers were established across the Gaza Strip by the American civilian security company, alongside operational preparations on the ground, in cooperation with the aid organizations, and the international community,” the IDF disclosed.
The handing out of humanitarian aid directly to Gazans would prevent fuel and supplies from falling into the hands of Hamas terrorists. “The IDF will continue to facilitate humanitarian assistance in the Gaza Strip, while making every possible effort to ensure that the aid does not reach the hands of the Hamas terrorist organization,” the statement added.

There are initial reports of Hamas setting up checkpoints near Rafah to block residents from reaching the distribution center, causing scenes of chaos:
Security sources say the incident began after Hamas set up a checkpoint to prevent Gazans from approaching the distribution center. After about an hour the checkpoint was overrun by thousands of Gazans, who shouted "F**k Hamas."

The Jerusalem Post reported the details of the newly established aid distribution network:
The opening of the humanitarian aid distribution centers marks the beginning of the end of Hamas rule, an Israeli source told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday as the IDF announced the opening of two large food distribution centers, which it has said should be able to feed up to 600,000 Palestinians over the course of a week.
The two centers are located one at Tel Sultan in Rafah in deep southern Gaza, and one at the Morag Corridor, a bit north of Rafah.
A third is expected to open up near Khan Yunis in mid-southern Gaza, and a fourth in central Gaza, though it is still unclear if these other facilities are days or weeks away from opening.
Sources told the Post that the food centers would get up to their maximum food distribution capacity relatively rapidly, but there was also no exact deadline for that.
In coordination with the US and aid organizations, the IDF has helped establish 4 humanitarian aid distribution centers in Gaza. Two began operating today in Tel al-Sultan and the Morag Corridor, delivering food to thousands.

The aid distribution has been rolled out despite Hamas’s threatening aid workers and vowing to prevent Gazans from receiving aid. The U.S.-backed humanitarian foundation “Hamas death threats against aid groups who have agreed to cooperate with GHF, as well as efforts to block Palestinians from reaching distribution sites,” The Times of Israel reported Tuesday.
Despite the flow of aid deliveries from Israeli border crossings into Gaza throughout the war, Hamas has been siphoning off incoming food and fuel supplies to sell them on the black market to fund its terrorist operations against Israel. Hamas has also been targeting Israeli troops securing the aid route into Gaza. In early May 2024, the terrorist group fired rockets at Kerem Shalom, the main crossing for aid into Gaza, killing four IDF soldiers and wounding several others.

Boy these Israelis are terrible at genocide.
Yeah, but that doesn’t stop the parrots from squawking it anyway.
Honestly, they need to stop the aid. A good, old-fashioned siege is what’s needed to reduce the support of the non-combatants for the combatants.
Compassion for the enemy only works after you’ve fully defeated them.
Aw. I-dunno. 24 hours from “Viva Hamas” to “F* Hamas” may actually be a world record.
As the aid pours in, well fed Gazans continue to starve the hostages.
Compassion for the enemy will get you nowhere if the enemy is unwilling to change. Hamas has amply demonstrated they will never change. They want Israel and the Jews gone. Israel providing them with humanitarian aid (food, medical aid etc.) is pure insanity on Israel’s part. Simply feeding the snake that will bite them in the future. If Israeli government officials haven’t learned that lesson in the last 77 years the G-d help them. Nobody else will.
What they ought to do is use Q-trucks, Run trucks that look like aid trucks but filled with soldiers. Run drones overhead. When Hamas attempts to stop them – KILL THEM ALL
They should also look for blocking like Hamas was done and attack the blockers. Drone watchers and well placed snipers should take care of the threat.
“trucks that look like aid trucks but filled with soldiers”
Pretty sure that that’s a well-defined and serious war crime.
Well then they’ll just have to charge Israel again.
Not against pirates. Which is what terrorists are.
It won’t do Israel any good
with every meal you get a free pager
Or lightly roofied.
They won’t take the care packages if they are marked from Israel (or US). Hamas will shoot the recipients as traitors. Better to let the Red Crescent handle it, via Egypt.
Better still is to give them nothing.
Egypt. Like most every other Muslim nation bordering Israel, actually hates the refugees and considers them trash. They are useful as a stick to hit the Israelis with and raise anti-Israeli sentiment but allow them to become residents instead of refugees? Allah forbid.
This is illustrated by Egypt’s reluctance to serve as a conduit for “relief aid” – Gaza FGS has TWO land borders and if Israel stops feeding Gazans when at war with them (which no one else expects a nation to do) that doesn’t close down the Egyptian border, only Egypt does.
Also illustrated by the last time Gazans swarmed the Egyptian border crossings opening up mass unlimited cross-border traffic for a week. Egyptian merchants gleefully overcharged their “brothers in Islam” for goods – while Gazans gleefully paid the merchants for goods using counterfeit bills supplied by the Gazan “government”.
Mox nix. Hamas shoots enough hungry civvies, resistance begins.
No, put them to the choice. Red Crescent has a long hair of cooperating with Hamas.
First of all, giving Aid to your enemies is never a good idea. Second of all, this is just pissing in the Wind.
Food and sex are the best propaganda vehicles known to man.
Exactly. Hungry people, especially the parents of hungry children, will attack whoever or whatever stands between them and food. Israel is forcing Hamas to do that openly and explicitly, in plain view of cameras (and ideally IDF guns) instead of quietly hijacking the supply trucks.
I doubt that any armed force in the history of warfare has been as magnanimous and charitable to its enemy — here, the genocidal “civilians” of Gaza who empowered, support and comprise the Hamas terrorist group — as the IDF has been, in its current, existential war.
Have any of the leftist, European dhimmis and American Dhimmi-crats in media and elsewhere criticized the Hamas thugs for stealing aid and threatening aid workers?
Crickets as per usual, from these feckless and hypocritical reprobates.
And the purpose of this initiative is to turn those crickets into woodpeckers.
Excellent news. The people of Gaza are ready to rid the enclave from the villians of Hamas. This should be encouraged. Pretty soon, the strongest Hamas supporters will be on campus.
Stupid! The hunger and thirst might influence Gazans to reject Hamas. If not, they will be dying for the side they support.
No loss of control? No loss of control?! WTF?!?!? They lost control of the aid site and allowed “Gazans” to breach the site and steal the remaining aid packages while they cowardly retreated and “fired shots into the air”. If that isn’t “losing control” I don’t know what is and it certainly doesn’t bode well for the future of these aid centers. That’s for sure.
