Far-Left Protesters Block ICE Arrests in Boston – Even Of Accused Child Rapist

A series of ICE operations in Boston is drawing national attention after videos and firsthand accounts revealed that far-left anti-ICE protesters have repeatedly blocked federal immigration officers from carrying out lawful arrests—even when the targets are convicted criminals, including a child rapist living next to a playground.

On May 30, Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, one of the country’s top immigration journalists, joined ICE agents during a raid in East Boston, where several individuals with prior criminal records were detained. Despite these arrests, Melugin reported that activists in Boston and across the country are committed to interfering with ICE operations and even alerting targets ahead of time.

According to Melugin, one of the individuals protesters helped shield was a convicted child rapist—a Dominican national found guilty of statutory rape of a child under 13. He currently lives next to a playground. ICE confirmed they were executing a final deportation order issued by a federal judge. These are not minor offenses. The list of individuals ICE is targeting is long and dangerous.

Rather than express concern for neighborhood safety, especially for the children playing just feet from this man’s home, activists have allegedly been celebrating their ability to block ICE arrests around the country.

Local reporter John Gately shared footage of the Boston disruption, showing protesters demanding to see warrants and physically interfering with ICE agents as they attempted to carry out arrests.

According to Melugin, ICE sources expressed frustration but not surprise, saying this kind of interference has become routine in cities like Boston, where local leaders are openly hostile to federal immigration enforcement.

Footage from independent journalists shows just how aggressive these protests have become. Activists crowd around ICE vehicles, follow agents, hurl insults, and film every moment for social media clout. This behavior isn’t new—it’s escalating.

The facts aren’t in dispute: a convicted child rapist—living next to a playground—was protected from deportation by a mob of activists. This isn’t a protest. It’s obstruction. And the consequences for public safety are real—and growing.
