African National Congress Issues Disturbing Statement on Plight of South African Refugees

As woke leftists and the Episcopal Church continue to utterly beclown themselves over the arrival of 59 white South African refugees waving American flags, the African National Congress (ANC) has issued a disturbing statement that seems to confirm the rightness of President Donald Trump’s February executive order greenlighting “admission and resettlement through the United States Refugee Admissions Program” for any South African who sought to flee racially-motivated persecution.

In a statement issued through the ANC’s National Communications Manager, Mangaliso Khonza, and shared on social media by its Secretary General, Fikile Mbalula, the dominant South African political party announced that they “categorically” rejected what they described as the “falsehood of ‘Afrikaner refugees.'” They also claimed without evidence that “No section of our society is hounded, persecuted or subject to ethnic victimisation.”

Further, they wrote that “These claims are a fabrication and a cowardly political construct designed to delegitimise our democracy and insult the sacrifices made by generations who fought for freedom.”

Most chilling, however, was what the African National Congress asserted about the “accountability” they believed the refugees owed South Africa:

“What the instigators of this falsehood seek is not safety, but impunity from transformation. They flee not from persecution, but from justice, equality and accountability for historic privilege.”

As a reminder, these are the types of political “leaders” white South African farmers have been forced to endure and capitulate to:

Relatedly, as The Daily Caller observed, African National Congress spokesman Khonza uses the nickname “Stalin” on his LinkedIn and Instagram pages:

Hounding, persecution, and ethnic victimization sound like an apt description of what South Africa is doing to its Afrikaner population. But far be it from me to question Mangaliso ‘Stalin’ Khonza, the ANC’s National Communications Manager. The ANC’s statement directs media inquiries to Khonza. Khonza includes the nickname on his Linkedin profile. He can also be found as “stalin873” on Instagram.[…]South Africa’s government could hardly make a stronger case for the Afrikaners’ refugee claim if they tried. It’s awfully hard to give Stalin the benefit of the doubt.

Legal Insurrection‘s Vijeta Uniyal wrote in detail about the threats against white South African farmers and the mainstream media’s disgusting but predictable apologist tendencies towards the alleged perpetrators in August 2023:

While reliable census data aren’t easily available, white people are thought to be about 7% of South Africa’s 60 million population. A large part of them are Boer farmers who speak Afrikaans, a Dutch dialect. The Boers, many of them deeply-religious Christians with Protestant Calvinists roots, are increasingly facing racially-motivated attacks. The farm attacks come in the wake of political demands for the confiscation and ‘redistribution’ of their land. A similar campaign has succeeded in driving out white farmers in neighboring Zimbabwe, and it turned Africa’s bread basket into a basket case.
