60 Minutes Kamala Harris Interview Receives Outstanding Editing Emmy Nomination

60 Minutes Kamala Harris Interview Receives Outstanding Editing Emmy Nomination

They will never ever learn. Never.

That controversial 60 Minutes interview with then-Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris received an Emmy nomination.

Yup. The 46th News & Documentary Emmy Awards nominated that interview for outstanding editing.

I kid you not.

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung provided Fox News with a great comment: “Of course it’s nominated for best editing because it takes some serious talent to edit Kamala’s answer into something that’s coherent and understandable, which in the end they still failed to do.”

CBS News made a huge mistake when it released a snippet from the interview where Harris spoke about Israel and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The aired portion of the interview did not match the clip.

The original clip:

WHITAKER: But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.

HARRIS: Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.

What 60 Minutes aired:

WHITAKER: But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.

HARRIS: We are not gonna stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.

The editors turned a word salad into a somewhat coherent statement.

The editing caused a firestorm, forcing CBS to release the full original transcript because everyone wondered what else they had edited and left on the cutting floor.

Stacey mentioned a portion of 60 Minutes that was likely scrapped “not just because Harris sounded awful but also because it made Whitaker sound a little too much like a handler attempting to kick back with her and coach her more so than a reporter trying to do their job in interviewing someone who wanted to be the leader of the free world.”

Then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump sued CBS for “deceptive conduct,” claiming CBS participated in “election and voter interference” to confuse voters and “tip the scales in favor of the Democratic Party.”

Last month, Bill Owens, executive producer of 60 Minutes, resigned because he could no longer “run the show” as he had always done.

I wonder how many other stories 60 Minutes edited to make them more appealing to a certain side or topic. Weird, huh?

All sink together

Okay, news flash: the Emmy folks are part of the woke resistance. You heard it here first.

Okay, news flash: The Emmy’s are just a bunch of privileged, woke, liberal leftists giving other privileged, woke, liberal leftists participation awards for TV productions that anyone with even half a brain wouldn’t want to watch even if they were paid to do so. You heard it here first.

Something for the cult and dupes to fawn about.

“The 46th News & Documentary Emmy Awards nominated that interview for outstanding editing.”

From the Babylon Bee?

Well the Nobel prizes and the Oscars aren’t what they might have once been, Why not the Emmys too.

So who won Biggest Liar in A National News Organization?

At least there is no dispute that it WAS edited…..

That reminds me of an old car my mother had. It was in such bad shape the only way to repair it was to drive a new car under the gas cap.

That’s basically what the editors did with Kamala Harris’ interview.

Say what you will about 60 Minutes, and there is a lot to say most of which isn’t good, but you have to admit the editing of the Harris interview transforming it from a total train wreck into something marginally coherent was brilliant. And nobody would have been the wiser if it weren’t for the accidental release of a snippet of the raw footage to the public.

I know what you mean. That was a difficult, if not impossible job.

Editor No 1: Harris is so bad! What can we do with that horrible word salad?

Editor No 2: Roll up your sleeves! If we do an enema on Harris we can get an Emmy.

They’re going to rename it the Amerigo Bonasera Award.

Well, they do specialize in editing so they’re not completely wrong

I assumed it was a satirical post when I saw the headline. What next, the Nazis get an award for building efficient crematoria ?

See BS.

Trump should cancel their FCC license(s) for being disinformation aka Fake News.

ngl, I thought the headline was from the Babylon Bee.

Are you sure the award was for “Outstanding Editing” rather than “Outlandish Editing”?

It wasn’t word salad. It was Kamala vaguely saying she required Israel to lose.

The fact that the best candidate that the left could come up with to run against Trump was the DEI beneficiary / fool Harris speaks volumes about what a dumpster fire the democratic party is. The democrats have completely lost their minds since Trump took office in 2016. Now, they have another ‘rising star’ in their midst, the bartender AOC, who has shown on countess occasions that she is even dumber than Harris. This ignorant mix master is who the left thinks would be a good candidate to run the greatest country in the world. You cannot make this stuff up; these people are nuts.
