Israeli Airstrike Eliminates Hezbollah Operatives Rebuilding Terrorist Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon
The Jerusalem Post: “The terrorists were struck while attempting to restore Hezbollah infrastructure in the South.”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), on Sunday, eliminated two Hezbollah operatives trying to reestablish the terrorist group along Israel’s northern border with Lebanon.
“Israeli aircraft targeted and struck two Hezbollah fighters operating construction equipment in the Zabqin area of southern Lebanon,” Israel’s i24NEWS TV channel reported Sunday. “According to an official IDF statement, the operation was carried out as the terrorists attempted to rehabilitate terrorist infrastructure belonging to the organization.”
The slain Hezbollah operatives were trying to build terrorist infrastructure near Israel’s northern border, yet another ceasefire violation by the Iran-backed terror group. “The terrorists were struck while attempting to restore Hezbollah infrastructure in the South,” the Jerusalem Post reported. “Another strike was reported by Lebanese media shortly after, this time striking a bulldozer in the village Beit Lif in southwestern Lebanon.”
In late November 2024, Israel ended a nearly two-month-long ground operation and withdrew IDF troops from southern Lebanon in keeping with a Biden administration-brokered ceasefire.
The Times of Israel reported:
The Israeli military on Sunday said it carried out an airstrike in southern Lebanon, killing two, in an attack that targeted Hezbollah operatives who were trying to rebuild “terror infrastructure.”
Lebanon’s health ministry confirmed that two people were killed in an Israeli strike on the town of Zibqin in the country’s south, saying that it targeted people operating a bulldozer.
Israel’s military said the two were operating an engineering vehicle, and that they were “attempting to rebuild Hezbollah terror infrastructure sites.” (…)
Hezbollah began attacking northern Israel unprovoked on a near-daily basis starting on October 8, 2023 — a day after fellow Iran-backed terror group Hamas led an invasion and onslaught in southern Israel in which some 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken hostage, sparking the war in Gaza.
The elimination of Hezbollah operatives highlights Hezbollah’s continued terrorist activities in southern Lebanon. In recent days, the IDF took out several Hezbollah terrorists operating along Israel’s northern border, including a senior commander of Hezbollah’s Iranian-trained Radwan Force.
Besides targeting Lebanon-based Hezbollah, the Israeli Air Force recently carried out hundreds of airstrikes hitting terrorist targets in Gaza and Syria. “Israel’s air force attacked approximately 200 targets in Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon in the last two days, the military said on Friday,” the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported Friday.
The Israeli Air Force struck over 130 targets in the Gaza Strip over the weekend, the military says, publishing footage of the attacks.

Iran threatens neighboring Arab states over possible U.S. strike
While the Iran-sponsored Hezbollah continues terrorist activities on Israel’s northern border, the Iranian regime has threatened its Arab neighbors over a possible U.S. airstrike. “Iran has issued notices to Iraq, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey and Bahrain that any support for a U.S. attack on Iran, including the use of their air space or territory by U.S. military during an attack, would be considered an act of hostility,” Reuters reported Sunday, citing a senior Iranian official.
Iran is also the main backer of Yemen’s Islamist Houthi regime, which currently faces retaliatory U.S. strikes for blockading American and Western shipping for nearly 17 months following the October 7 attack.
The Israeli news website Arutz Sheva reported Sunday:
Iran has threatened other nations in the Middle East over the potential for American military strikes against its nuclear weapons program, even as it continues to reject direct negotiations of said nuclear program with the US, Reuters reported.
An Iranian official told Reuters that the regime would only accept indirect talks with the US at this time, stating, “Indirect talks offer a chance to evaluate Washington’s seriousness about a political solution with Iran.”
The official also stated that Iran has given warnings to Iraq, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey and Bahrain that it will consider any assistance given to an American strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, such as permitting the aircraft used in such an attack to use their airspace, an act of hostility against Iran that will “have severe consequences for them.”
Last week, Iran threatened Britain over potential airstrikes from the joint U.S.-UK military base in the Chagos Islands. The Mullah regime fears a U.S. strike that could dismantle its rogue nuclear weapons program.
“Tehran has warned it will target British forces in the Chagos Islands if Donald Trump follows through on his threat to attack Iran, it has been reported,” British newspaper The Standard reported on March 30. “The threat from Tehran follows warnings by the US president of potential military action against Iran if the regime fails to comply with a new deal over its nuclear programme.”
