Florida College Students ‘Scared’ Because of Campus Police’s Cooperation With ICE
“I’ve been trying to not go to the main areas of campus where police are”

Why are they scared? All an international student has to do is avoid disruptive protests calling for the death of America and our allies.
NBC News reports:
Florida college students scared, on edge over campus police’s cooperation with ICE
After Florida International University’s police department entered into an agreement with the federal government to carry out immigration enforcement on campus, some students say they are terrified.
“It’s scary and nerve-racking,” said an undergraduate at the university.
The student, who’s not being identified because he lacks legal immigration status, told NBC News he came to the U.S. when he was 5 with his family after they were threatened by gangs in their native El Salvador. He said he was very focused in middle school and high school and took many Advanced Placement classes, knowing he had to work harder to have a shot at college.
Now, the student is not sure if he’ll continue at FIU next year. For now, he said he’s avoiding certain parts of the university he considers risky. “I’ve been trying to not go to the main areas of campus where police are,” the student said.
FIU is one of a number of universities in Florida that have signed agreements with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement under the 287(g) program, which trains local law enforcement officers to interrogate immigrants and detain them for potential deportation.
In addition to FIU, the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida State University in Tallahassee, the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and the University of South Florida in Tampa have in place agreements with ICE.

ICE ICE baby! Be scared…very scared… Boo!
Is he paying full out of state tuition? I’d guess that in Florida illegals don’t get in-state tuition, but he’s probably receiving financial aid. And, how many kids like him go on to complete useful degrees, vs. becoming advocates for the left?
At least he was apparently a decent student in high school and didn’t drag down the academic level there, which is more than I can say for a lot of the illegal alien children in our district.
But really he shouldn’t be too scared unless he was involved in crime or anti-Israel protests. Hm, was he?
If he’s doing OK and wasn’t helping Hamas, I don’t mind too much if he completes his current degree program (must make normal progress) then leaves the country. I don’t want to give him a green card unless he’s in a competitive non-ideological field.
Looks like the FL legislature repealed in-state tuition for illegal aliens earlier this year.
“…not being identified because he lacks legal immigration status…”
NBC can’t bring themselves to just come out and say the student is an illegal alien, can they?
This is just the usual journalistic bias game.
Black kid gets shot while trying to break the skull of his victim? Search through his entire photo album, ignoring all the shots of him with his bong, with his handgun, in the tattoo chair, throwing sign with the local gang… until you finally find the one of him at age 8 in choir robes.
Illegal alien students in Florida being identified? Quick, skip all the ones majoring in Revolutionary Studies and History of Progressivism, and fine the one actually learning to code.
Nobody bothers to say whether he is working towards citizenship. Hm.
The gang problem has been crushed in El Salvador so I don’t even know what his fear is. Go home and enjoy your country.
Need the other 6 state universities to get in the game.
Good. Be scared.
Get your education and leave.
Can’t handle it? Go back home.
Are we supposed to cry? I’d be one of the ones cheering on ICE, and maybe even buying them coffee!
