Fetterman to Trump: Destroy Iran’s Nuclear Facilities
“Today, I can’t understand why Trump would negotiate with this diseased regime. The negotiations should be comprised of 30,000-pound bombs and the IDF.”

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) has always been one of the loudest supporters of Israel. He knows the risks Iran poses to the Jewish State, America, and the region.
In an interview with The Washington Free Beacon, Fetterman said President Donald Trump’s administration should destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities:
“Waste that s—t,” the Pennsylvania Democrat told the Washington Free Beacon in an interview on Wednesday. “You’re never going to be able to negotiate with that kind of regime that has been destabilizing the region for decades already, and now we have an incredible window, I believe, to do that, to strike and destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities.”
Fetterman dismissed the foreign policy experts who warn that striking Iran would lead to the outbreak of a regional war. “And remember, all of these so-called experts were all wrong,” he said. “You know, they’ve been saying for years and years Hezbollah was the ultimate badass that kept Israel in check, and we can’t move on anything beyond that.”
As it turned out, Fetterman said, the Iranian proxy group “couldn’t fight for s—t. And Hamas, literally, are just a bunch of tunnel rats with junkie rockets in the back of a Toyota truck. And now the Houthis have been effectively neutered as well. So what’s left? You have Iran, and they have a nuclear facility, and it’s clearly only for weapons.”
Fetterman is correct, unfortunately. You cannot negotiate with evil. You cannot negotiate with the likes of Iran, Hamas, and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
You just cannot do it.
Last week, The New York Times claimed Trump blocked an Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear sites.
Trump told the press, “I didn’t stop an Israeli attack, I’m just in no hurry to do it.”
I like having a president who hates war and wants it all to stop.
Attacking Iran is different than bombing Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis, even though those terrorist groups are Iran’s proxies.
Bombing Iran could tick off Russia and China.
But, at the same time, you cannot negotiate with evil. Fetterman knows this:
“Years ago, I completely understood why Trump withdrew from the Obama deal. Today, I can’t understand why Trump would negotiate with this diseased regime. The negotiations should be comprised of 30,000-pound bombs and the IDF,” Fetterman said.
Witkoff, the longtime Trump confidant who is new to international diplomacy, has led the negotiations but has raised eyebrows for some high-profile missteps. In addition to the enrichment mix-up, Witkoff said in March that Hamas “duped” him during ceasefire negotiations.
Fetterman called the negotiating team “unimpressive and utterly bewildering.”
Fetterman said an attack on Iran won’t “turn into World War III.”
As a strict Constitutionalist, I say the bombing has to go through Congress. We are not technically at war with Iran because Congress has not declared war on Iran. Yeah, we’ve been in proxy wars since the Korean War.
I think Congress hasn’t declared war since World War II. We’ve just inserted ourselves into everyone’s business since WWII. Well, not counting Afghanistan because of 9/11.

I couldn’t believe he was elected.
But now, he makes more sense than anyone else in their party.
Fetterman can surprise us with the rationality of some of his statements, but he votes just like any other Party apparatchik. He’s no ally.
Bingo.
Iran is governed by an End of Days death cult that begins every legislative session and government ceremony with chants of Death to the Great Satan. Allowing them to obtain a nuclear weapon would be the biggest foreign policy blunder in the history of foreign policy blunders. Even John Fetterman understands this.
That death cult is run by old men who want to live and rule. Iran has been capable of constructing a nuke for years now, and probably has already built some. But they have not tested any yet. They know the moment they test one, Israel launches a massive thermonuclear barrage upon them. And you know what – I think that is ultimately the best outcome. They get goaded into testing, Israel completely incinerates Iran, and then Israel has a place to send the Palestinians to (the ruins of Iran), and Israel gets rid of its real problem.
An interesting thesis, except that I think Iran’s idea of a “test” is on top of Israel.
Iran (not its mullah leadership) has a long and respectable history with Israel and the Jewish people. The tombs of Mordechai and Esther are in Iran. They don’t want to destroy Iran nor its people, but this regime (arguably enabled by both Carter and Reagan, as well as obviously Obama) needs to go.
More fratboy schtick. Proceed w/ caution. Fetterman seems to always burp up the red meat talking points aimed at magaworld, but fratboy will never vote for anything on Trump’s agenda, so I’d be super reluctant to take any war fighting advice from this guy.
I agree with what he says, though I would go further than Iran’s nuke facilities. gain total air superiority, use bunker bombs on all Mosques and wipe out their military. Iran’s cancer must be excised.
Putin was elected. He’s highly popular with the Russian people. If he’s a dictator, it’s because the people want a dictator and they’re happy with their form of government. We must deal with reality. When we deal with Russia, that means dealing with Putin. Why would you even put him in a list of Islamic terrorists? Putin isn’t driven by a sense of religious fervor. He’s a realist who wants security for Russia. That’s wrong? Evil?
I agree. The Russian people love their strongman, and who is to say they’re wrong? Putin isn’t a crazed zealot who wants to burn or enslave the world, unlike the Islamist leaders. It can’t even be argued h’s really expansionist (at least in the sense that cold warriors use it) , since the only territories he’s annexed were full of Russians already.
I deeply mistrust the cold warriors like the author who see Russia in such one-dimensional terms.
There are way too many people who talk about Russia like it’s the 1980s or something. It’s not very smart.
Did you even listen to yourself?
“the only territories he’s annexed were full of Russians already.”
Can you recall any other European strongman nationalist leader who called himself a socialist who started out “only annexing territories full of folks ethnically the same as his own nation”?
Don’t kid yourself, the old Russia was pretty one-dimensional in its outlook towards the territories it conquered, artificial famines to reduce the native’s numbers, exiling non-Russian natives to make room for Russian immigrants, ethnically transforming / cleansing a territory, it’s an old playbook and Putin has the benefit of his predecessors actions to build upon new areas with imported Russian “natives” to justify invasion to “protect” the new “natives” they themselves moved in.
Russians do luv them a Strong Man, but a Russian “election” is no more a popularity contest than than any other :election where the dictator-in-charge has free reign to murder, imprison, or just impoverish any opposing press and/or political opposition.
You know, like Biden tried his best to copy.
And Putin’s “Strong Man” aura has taken a beating lately by the Ukrainians not collapsing as promised, the harder and harder to suppress news of the growing death total of Russia’s sons, and the war’s bad effect on their economy. If Trump can bring Putin and Zelenski to sign a peace treaty, it will only because both decide they can’t win and they can’t stay in power by not winning.
Oh please. Putin’s idea of security is to restore Russia to the Soviet Union’s boundaries, especially in Europe. He is evil. His unnecessary bombing of civilians in Ukraine is evil. His bombing of their energy infrastructure in the middle of winter was evil. His stopping Ukraine exports of grain was evil. His original taking of Crimea was evil. He is evil.
Russians are happy with Putin? No so sure about that. Stuff happens to people that oppose him. Bad stuff. There is a vocal component of Russians that are happy, or at least proclaim to be happy. They likely don’t have children coming home in body bags. The rest of them I’m not so sure.
I agree though that Putin’s evility (is that a word) is not on the same level as Islamic terrorists. You can negotiate somewhat with Putin. You can’t negotiate with terrorists. If you could they wouldn’t be terrorists in the first place. The only thing you can do with terrorists is kill them. Apparently we still don’t understand that.
It needs to be said that for every evilness of Putin, Zelensky can go one better. What a shitshow.
Unfortunately Putin supports Iran and even supported Oct. 7 with some military equipment. Russia can keep their regime but Iran has become toxic.
Russia has lost its influence in the region formerly known as Syria, which is now mostly controlled by forces friendly to its historic foe Turkey. Now Russia will have to lose Iran. They should pay this price for the implacable but slightly veiled antisemitism that continues there at least at the government level, which I don’t understand and regret, but it is a fact.
So did he recover from his debilitating stroke or
but remember
usa/western policy is to then let in alll their people into your country and then they get revenge
SOOOOOOO
destroy them but nooooo allowing them into this country
Fetterman is right in principle, but is he right in practice? Trump knows war with Iran has huge dangers – the biggest one is we are not equipped to fight 2 major wars simultaneously. If we are bogged down in a war with Iran, China invades Taiwan. We can’t do both at the same time. Other dangers are our bases in the ME become big targets, and Trump is withdrawing troops from Syria as a way of mitigating that danger.
Ultimately, Israel will need to deal with Iran itself. To do this, Israel might just need to use nuclear weapons in a first strike. If Iran tests a nuke, Israel launches.
no need to use nukes to stop iran
first stop any funding to them,,,no oil allowed to create $ for them >>hamas
while thats happening “negotiate” with them
thennnn when its business as usual Israel can smash those dnc loving pos into the ground
then DO NOTT ALLOW any emigration to the usa
Okay. you have two choices. Either we bomb Iran and destroy their nuclear weapons or Israel drops nukes to terminate Iran’s weapons. We can do it with conventional weapons because we have both the weapons and the lifting capacity. Israel doesn’t really have the capacity to destroy Iran’s buried nuclear infrastructure. It’s a long haul for them and they don’t have bombers. They can probably get some of it but not all of it unless they use their special forces. Special forces means casualties and prisoners.
Israel prisoners in Iran would not be good.
So what do you do?
Remember that Pakistan which also hates Israel has nukes loaded onto missiles that can reach Israel. How do you think they would respond if Israel first strikes Iran?
It might not be a bad idea to return Pakistan to living conditions of Muhammad. Muslims will require force to keep them in check.
Witkoff = Blinken
Today Trump tweeted to Putin “Stop.” I’m afraid that sounds an awful lot like ….
Iran and its leaders are living in a fantasy world. Just like the Israeli attack on them last month, where they knocked out almost all of their air defenses in one strike, they talk tough but cannot follow through. If Israel and the US combined to attack Iran it would be over in a few days. The people of Iran do not want their present government, nor would they support it in a war. The actual sites underground may be unreachable but not their entrances. Iran has no air force, and their navy is pitiful, so where would the military reaction come from? If Trump dithers too long, Israel will go it alone. Iran must never possess a nuke. Even American-hating ME countries admit this.
The major problem is that certain volatile countries can not be allowed to have nuclear weapons for whatever reason. I would put North Korea, Pakistan, and Iran on the list. There are others but these three either have them or are close to having them.
North Korea has nuclear weapons because of Clinton and Albright. They stupidly or conveniently believed everything NK said and we did nothing. So they have them. We should have told China and Russia to fuck off they can’t have them and taken them out, Now they are a major problem. Hell if I’m China I’d be unhappy because the NKs could pull them into a major nuclear exchange with the West.
I don’t recall the history with Pakistan. Obviously Pakistan has them because India does or vice versa. This is cold war leftover. It was a mistake to allow them to have them because they are islamic and they have exported the knowledge and probably the technology.
Iran. We should have flattened Iran when they took over our embassy. That was a direct act of war and they consider themselves at war with us, We should have acted against their nuclear program when it was in the embryonic stage. Now it could well be too late to act, and you’ll end up with another NK only one that is actively exporting islamic terror. Oh joy.
I notice that the list of “those you can’t negotiate with” is missing China, which is probably the world’s greatest threat.
We’ve been fighting their proxies for years…..take the battle home to the Master and let him suffer like his minions have
Amazing, Fetterman keeps managing to say things that really do make sense. I don’t want war, but having Iran able to irradiate most of the middle east is a worst possible.
Yet he votes for crazy
Fetterman has aspirations
Fetterman is right a nuclear armed death cult is horrible news and we should not indulge it.
Hard to know what will happen but it seems to me that Iran, like all Arab/muslim regimes, is a paper tiger. Good at showy military parades and bluster but cant fight. They were supposed to be so frightening. Then Israel literally walked into their living room, took a shut, and left with the door open. Didnt lose a single asset. And the people of Iran will be more than likely to do all the revenge killing of the mullahs. Just back them up for once.
