Trump’s Education Dept. Investigating 60 Universities for ‘Antisemitic Harassment and Discrimination’

Trump’s Education Dept. Investigating 60 Universities for ‘Antisemitic Harassment and Discrimination’

Dartmouth is the only Ivy League school that did not receive a letter.

The Department of Education warned 60 universities and colleges they could lose federal funding if they don’t do more to protect Jewish students.

Officials told the institutions they must “fulfill their obligations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.”

The obligations include “uninterrupted access to campus facilities and educational opportunities.

“The Department is deeply disappointed that Jewish students studying on elite U.S. campuses continue to fear for their safety amid the relentless antisemitic eruptions that have severely disrupted campus life for more than a year. University leaders must do better,” said Secretary of Education Linda McMahon. “U.S. colleges and universities benefit from enormous public investments funded by U.S. taxpayers. That support is a privilege and it is contingent on scrupulous adherence to federal antidiscrimination laws.”

The list includes all Ivy League schools except Dartmouth: Brown, Cornell, Columbia, Harvard, Princeton, U. Penn, and Yale.

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act bans discrimination based on race, color, or national origin.

If you are a regular reader of Legal Insurrection, then you know all about the anti-Israel and pro-Hamas mobs at the elite schools on the list.

The Trump administration already stripped Columbia of $400 million in grants.

Columbia has been ground zero since last spring, even though protests started after Hamas invaded Israel and kidnapped and slaughtered thousands on October 7, 2023.

These people are still terrorizing the campus:

When you have billions in endowments, you may no longer be a non-profit.

Left Wing Jewish students, professors, activists led the way to stifle conservative speech up until 10/7. I stand with these students and their safety but perhaps they might reflect on their past actions, beliefs, and how they vote going forward.

There is still a very sizable group of Jews who didnt change their opinions after 7 October. They are still their campaigning away with the very people who would happily ship them off in trains to be “re-educated”.

Supporting a terrorist group like Hamas should carry significant risk for foreigners on a Student Visa and if this Univ won’t act then the Univ should be stripped of any ability to admit someone on a Student Visa. That should then trigger loss of all Federal grants and Student Aid/loan eligibility for the University. Do that and things will eventually change.

Cornell seems rather quiet this year, anyone with first hand knowledge of ongoing anti semitism on campus?

Simple solution: identify all “students” with visas, etc. revoke same and immediately ship them to their sh*thole countries. No overnights in jail pending hearings and crap like that. Round ’em up, no notice, ship ’em out. Play the “Rawhide” theme whilst doing so.
As a taxpayer, I’m really, really tired of the slack which has been shown for the little mental midgets that seem to comprise the mobs doing the protests and destruction. Ship ’em out, sort it out later.
Punctum.

Oberlin part of the me me me crowd here? Or maybe someone there is asking the upside/downside questions first before acting. So I am sitting in the multnomah county courthouse jury room ATM. I didn’t make the 14/35 cut for a multimillion medical malpractice cast yesterday. Was totally shocked that having trained at THE pain treatment center back in the day didn’t get me tossed just after the juror who golfed with the plaintif??? I wasn’t wearing my new Vance 48 custom Cleveland Browns ball cap, but I did unintentionally have my somewhat ragged 6-7 yo Gibsons Bakery daily driver cap. A few years ago I did have a lawyer on the street recognize the cap. Not sure if it is still on the legal system radar outside of Lorain County.

These are examples of the great good Trump is doing and why I hope he backs away from the trade wars in favor of fighting for a strong economy.

If Trump falls Democrats will be reversing all of this and giving these places the money with interest.

Cool lets get our trading ‘partners’ to drop their tariffs on US goods and end their govt subsidies to support their economies. Then we can all have a free market, which we definitely don’t have now.

The question is how do we do that? Oh wait I know, lets apply reciprocal tariffs that way as soon as a Nation drops or eliminates the tariffs they charge on US imports we simultaneously drop or eliminate the same on their exports to the USA. This way every Nation has an incentive more/less aligned to synchronize towards an actual free market.
