President Donald Trump has decided to pause and review all aid to Ukraine. It is not permanent, though:
BREAKING: The United States is pausing all U.S. military aid to Ukraine until President Trump determines the Ukrainians show a commitment to good faith peace negotiations, a senior Trump administration official tells Fox News.”This is not permanent termination of aid, it’s a pause,” the official emphasized. “The orders are going out right now.”The official said this is in response to Ukrainian President Zelensky’s conduct over the last week.
The move comes hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed the war with Russia is “very, very far away.”
It’s almost as if Zelenskyy does not want the war to end:
“I think our relationship (with the U.S.) will continue, because it’s more than an occasional relationship,” Zelenskyy said late Sunday, referring to Washington’s support for the past three years of war.“I believe that Ukraine has a strong enough partnership with the United States of America” to keep aid flowing, he said at a briefing in Ukrainian before leaving London.—Asked by a reporter to comment about the outlines of a new European initiative to end Russia’s war, Zelenskyy said: “We are talking about the first steps today, and therefore, until they are on paper, I would not like to talk about them in great detail.”“An agreement to end the war is still very, very far away, and no one has started all these steps yet. The peace that we foresee in the future must be just, honest, and most importantly, sustainable,” he added.
No war means lifting martial law in Ukraine, which means elections! It also means no more aid or less of it.
Awfully suspicious, isn’t it?
Trump sure thinks so. He wrote on Truth Social:
This is the worst statement that could have been made by Zelenskyy, and America will not put up with it for much longer! It is what I was saying, this guy doesn’t want there to be Peace as long as he has America’s backing and, Europe, in the meeting they had with Zelenskyy, stated flatly that they cannot do the job without the U.S. – Probably not a great statement to have been made in terms of a show of strength against Russia. What are they thinking?
When you are brought in to help end a war, you go to the aggressor. It should not be shocking to anyone that Trump went to Vladimir Putin.
Why is Trump the only person who wants this war to end?
Maybe we should ask Lizzy Cheney and her daddy Dick. I’m pretty sure they can explain how war is profitable.
Peace is boring and makes no money.
