Trans activist arrested for allegedly attacking TPUSA student with bike lockAn individual identified as a transgender activist was arrested Tuesday after allegedly hitting a conservative student with a metal bike lock at the University of Texas Dallas, according to news and social media reports.Liam Thanh Tam Nguyen, 21, (pictured) is facing four felony charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and three misdemeanors, the Dallas Observer reports.Nguyen is a male “trans extremist” who also goes by the name “Alyssa,” independent journalist Andy Ngo wrote on X.On Tuesday, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk posted a video on X showing two conservative female students being attacked, allegedly by Nguyen, during a tabling event at UT Dallas.Kirk wrote that “Paige and her chapter VP Grace (whose phone was also destroyed) are both physically doing okay.”A campus spokesperson would not confirm whether Nguyen is a student, according to the Observer:
When asked if Nguyen is a UTD student, a spokesperson for the school would not say. Instead, the spokesperson confirmed that the incident occurred on campus and also confirmed the charges the suspect faces.… the UT Dallas Police Department did not respond to the Observer’s inquiry about when and where authorities apprehended Nguyen.
