Much has already been said about the behavior of Democrats during Trump’s speech to Congress this week. What I have not heard anyone say is that the Democratic party needs to change or die off like the Whig party.
It’s not just that what they are doing is offensive to a growing number of people, it’s the fact that it’s not working. The resistance, the color coded outfits, the tantrums, the screeching about Russia and Hitler. It’s over. No one is buying it and it’s doing nothing for the country or even them.
Even the decidedly liberal outlet Politico is admitting it:

And they come at a moment when Democrats are already feeling despondent after their roundly mocked response to Trump’s address to Congress on Tuesday, which was lambasted as unproductive and amateurish.
“Voters correctly identified that the Democratic Party has lost its way,” said Evan Roth Smith, the top pollster for Blueprint. “The Democratic response [Tuesday] night was more or less a continuation of what we’ve seen from Democrats so far.
A CBS News poll indicated that 76% of people who watched the speech found it positive and hopeful.

Democrats are in the same position they’ve been in since Obama: They are cowed by their hardest-left, most partisan maniacs who they dare not cross and who they’re always trying to placate.

Dems have been becoming more and more like Muslims.
I don’t think Dems will survive scandel related to their massive criminal activity, prosecution for their crimes has already started. Many of their leaders will be lost.
Typically, 40% are on the right, and 40% are on the left, on most every issue, leaving the middle 20% to the “independent” voters.
When you see a +70% rating, you know you’ve captured the middle 20%, and even some from the other side.

You have overstated your case, and I don’t think Dems have much to worry about. They own U.S. academia (faculty, administration, governing bodies) from Ivy League down to k-12. They own Hollywood and the entertainment industry. They own print, social and broadcast news and social outlets. They own Google, Meta and TikTok. They control every federal agency. They control every large U.S. city. Sorry, I may have missed a few, but I’ll stop there.
The fact that DJT will have a measly four years to flatten a few of their sand castles simply is not a significant existential threat to Dems’ hegemony. Let us not kid ourselves. The current landscape was decades in the making. It will require more than DJT’s remaining term, and I don’t see Congress doing much. If I’ve missed something, please let me know, but I wouldn’t order flowers for the Dems’ funeral just yet.

You are certainly correct in your assessment. Not only does the left retain significant control over the levers of cultural power, but leftism is an ongoing feature of human nature, rising up in every generation.
Our society, the churches, and parents have been failing for half a century to oppose the child-sacrifice culture – adults pursuing their own desires at the expense of their children. This is beginning to change as people experience the dire consequences of their foolishness, but it has a long way to go.

Funny how Schumer said the intelligence services (the heart of the Deep State) have “six ways to Sunday” to “get” someone, and that’s exactly what happened to Trump. But never to Biden (corrupt, in possession of classified docs as a VP and senator in violation of the law), Obama (corrupt), or H. Clinton (corrupt, exposed classified information on a home server, then destroyed evidence that was under subpoena). Do you think you’d get away with that last crime? Why not? This happened to a former president as a matter of course, when it has never happened before just, well, because. (Let’s not forget the spying on his campaign, the FBI starting an investigation based on a what they knew to be a hoax, the large group of former intelligence officials expressing the opinion the Biden laptop was a “Russian psyop” when every one of them had a security clearance and were almost certainly aware that the laptop and its contents were authentic – the laptop that had been in the FBI’s possession of about a year before they even admitted to it existence.)
I could go on, but you must believe all these extraordinary things happened within a relatively short period of time all by themselves? No orchestration behind the scenes. No orders from a central authority. Just, poof. All hell breaks lose over a mediocre president’s single term in office and then his decision to run for office again.

So I’ll end with the biggest journalistic cover-up of the last 100 years – the concealment of Biden’s mental condition by nearly all mainstream media outlets. The Dems’ nomination of a dementia patient was a scandal that would have been the biggest political story in decades, but MSN not only decided not to report it, they decided to conceal the truth. From whom did they get their orders? Do you seriously they all just independently decided to not just avoid the story, but to actually lie about it, with no direction from anyone or anywhere? (The entire COVID schmozzle just came to mind, but I said I was going to stop, so I will.)

Back when GWB was pres., his legal team put out a memo postulating that an auto-pen presidential signature had just as much legal authority as a manual presidential signature – given the president authorized it. Seems innocuous enuf in itself right? If he’s “signing” (say) several thousand pardons, lets him do so without writer’s cramp.
I haven’t seen the opinion (and it’s apparently just an opinion, not adjudicated by the courts) but what constitutes proof of authorization is at best up in the air – verbal? Documented how? A manually written EO to auto-sign a pile of docs? Something else?
Well later Obama had an EO to sign while in Hawaii on vacation. He had them auto-pen the DC copy, rather than wait until he and a copy were both in the same room for some reason. First precident was set.

Not just similar, pixel for pixel identical. Unless you argue that Biden is a Terminator / Robot Android the obvious conclusion is they were all auto-penned. WTH that would be so instead of Biden signing them himself is…. puzzling. Unless the story of one (D) Congress critter that Biden didn’t recall signing the EO he wanted to discuss with him was NOT a memory lapse or a one-off. Did Biden sign ANY of the docs that needed his signature to be valid? Did some underlings have authority to auto-sign as needed without going to the bother of Biden having to write his name?

The Democrats will be fine. They may have 1-4 bad years, but they will come roaring back one day. The best medicine for them will actually be the loss of their biggest sources of money. They have become the party of the rich and the poor, and that isn’t sustainable. They need to lose the wealthy progressives, and that becomes a lot easier without the buckets of cash they got from the USAID/NGO grift machine. When the coming severe recession/Depression hits, as it inevitably will soon, the Democrats can channel FDR again. Until then, the best advice for them was given by Carville – chill out and wait for opportunities to come.
