Schumer’s Antisemitism Book Tour Postponed

Senate Minority Chuck Schumer postponed his week tour for his book Antisemitism in America reportedly for security.

Well, it does not help that Democrats have blasted Schumer for helping to block the filibuster on the continuing resolution, allowing the Senate to vote on it.

The thing is, one independent and nine Democrats voted to end the filibuster on the CR.

The CR eventually passed with one Democrat and one independent voting for it. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) voted against it.

Jewish Insider reported that Schumer’s event in Baltimore, MD, faced protests by non-Jewish group Jewish Voice for Peace.

Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY), one of the few Democrats who have voiced support for Israel and Jews against antisemites, would have moderated an event at New York’s Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center on Tuesday.

Canceled.

Torres is one of the many Democrats who criticized Schumer’s speech about the CR.

However, anti-Israel groups like Jewish Voice for Peace wanted to protest the events even though Schumer hasn’t been a vocal supporter of Israel or spoken loudly against the anti-Israel and pro-Hamas protests at colleges.
