Schumer’s Antisemitism Book Tour Postponed

Schumer faced numerous protests from anti-Israel groups but he’s also facing heat from Democrats over the filibuster vote on the CR.

Senate Minority Chuck Schumer postponed his week tour for his book Antisemitism in America reportedly for security.

Well, it does not help that Democrats have blasted Schumer for helping to block the filibuster on the continuing resolution, allowing the Senate to vote on it.

The thing is, one independent and nine Democrats voted to end the filibuster on the CR.

The CR eventually passed with one Democrat and one independent voting for it. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) voted against it.

Jewish Insider reported that Schumer’s event in Baltimore, MD, faced protests by non-Jewish group Jewish Voice for Peace.

Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY), one of the few Democrats who have voiced support for Israel and Jews against antisemites, would have moderated an event at New York’s Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center on Tuesday.

Canceled.

Torres is one of the many Democrats who criticized Schumer’s speech about the CR.

However, anti-Israel groups like Jewish Voice for Peace wanted to protest the events even though Schumer hasn’t been a vocal supporter of Israel or spoken loudly against the anti-Israel and pro-Hamas protests at colleges.

I think this may canceled by lack of interest. Literally no one wants to hear this lying loser speak. Jewish groups are disgusted by him, pro-Israel groups despise him and of course antisemetic groups like the fake “Jewish” voice for violence (whoops is it peace) hate anyone Jewish. He just needs to shut up and go away; one things all of can agree on is the Schumer is a clown.

I guess this means Conservatives get a small break from Left-wing violence as they eat their own for the moment. Maybe they’ll paint swastikas on Chuckle’s house and torch his car.

Trump lawfare has hammered them on so many simultaneous fronts (now autopens, ActBlue, pardons) that I guess they thought they’d add to the mayhem by attacking themselves.
Looks like they’ve graduated from burning down their own cities to burning down their own party. God willing, soon we may be free at last, free at last!

The more these lefty wokiestas get denied the more dangerous they become. Now that they are amped up to eleventy they got Chuck ‘reap the whirlwind’ Schumer too frightened to promote his book in public appearances.

Is ther any chance that Schumer cold accidentally be deported with illegals?

He doesn’t care.

He’s already gotten his ‘advance’ for this book for far more than it could ever hope to make, anyway.

Excellent. There is something decidedly unkosher about the big advances some of these democratic politicians get for books no one is going to read and only libraries and sycophants will buy. There has to be something illegal about it but I don’t know what.

I mean I’m sure the shareholders of the company paying it should have a case for fraud or negligence of fiduciary duty or whatever the formal legal term is.

If the company CEO or board made the advance without bothering to actually do any kind of research about what kind of return could reasonably be expected from this kind of deal, then that’s a good case for their removal at least, and possibly fraud.

Realistically though any kind of ‘advances’ where its just a straight payment to politicians should be illegal.

AT BEST, they should be required by law to demand repayment of any advance that isn’t covered by book royalties from actual sales.

So the guy who fancies himself shomer (guardian, watchman) of the Jewish community has cancelled the book launch event for his pathetic book about Jew-hating over fear that some Jew-haters might show up?

Sorry, Charley. We’re not looking for a shomer with a big mouth. We’re looking for a shomer with a big heart. (With apologies to Starkist.)

Don’t tell the Democrats but the Schumer Surrender was actually a skillful tactical retreat. If the Democrats had closed the government, Trump would have done two things that would have caused the Democrats serious damage: 1) he would have designated a few hundred thousands government employees as non-essential and then refused to bring them back after the shutdown, and 2) after two weeks of a shutdown, the Republicans would have abolished the filibuster to pass whichever bill would have gotten Collins and Murkowski to join in ending the filibuster (probably the one that just passed). Without the filibuster, Trump could have passed judicial reform and the end of the Department of Education. Additionally, it would have been bad politics to close the government for two weeks only to have gotten rolled.

As it was, they end up passing the same budget they would have been forced to take, and which doesn’t change anything really. That’s masterful. Only an idiot would fight to lose when giving up gets you a draw (perhaps this is why the Democrats like Ukraine so much).
