Putin Not a Yes or No on Ukraine Ceasefire Proposal

Russian dictator President Vladimir Putin rejected the Ukraine ceasefire proposal.

Or not…

Now reports indicate that Putin has “preliminary and conditional support” for the 30-day ceasefire proposal put together between Ukraine and the United States.

From The New York Times:

He said “we definitely support” the idea, but that a number of “questions” remained to be discussed.Putin said those questions included the fate of Ukraine’s forces that continue to occupy a small part of Russia’s Kursk region, suggesting that he may demand Ukraine order its troops there to lay down their arms. The open questions, Putin said, also include whether Ukraine would be able to continue receiving arms shipments during the 30-day cease-fire, and how the cease-fire would be monitored and enforced. “The idea itself is the right one, and we definitely support it,” Putin said. “But there are questions that we need to discuss, and I think that we need to talk them through with our American colleagues and partners.”

Here’s an idea. Ukraine and Russia take back their territory. Yes, Putin, that includes Crimea.

Putin also wants to discuss the “original causes” of the war: the West’s expansions via the EU and NATO.

Remember, this started in 2014—actually, in 2013, when Euromaidan started in Kyiv in November. I covered it at Breitbart from the start.

The Ukrainian people chose to oust Russian puppet President Viktor Yanukovych.

The Ukrainian people wanted closer ties to the European Union.

If you know Yanukovych’s history, you know he could not legitimately have won his election in 2010.

There is a reason why Ukraine is one of the few former Soviet states not in NATO or the EU: It is the heart of Russia/Soviet Union. Many believe Russia was founded in Kyiv.

Belarus is a whole different story because dictator Aleksandr Lukashenko licks Putin’s boots.

Well, Putin should not cry because the citizens of those countries wanted to join NATO and the EU. Russia poses a serious threat to those countries.

I have no doubt Putin continues the debacle because he wants Ukraine but he loves the limelight and stirring trouble within the West.
