Pro-Palestinian Activists Vandalize Trump’s Turnberry Golf Resort in Scotland

Pro-Palestinian activists targeted Trump Turnberry, a golf resort in Scotland owned by President Donald Trump, in a protest against his recent proposal to relocate Gaza’s Palestinian population and redevelop the area. The activist group Palestine Action has claimed responsibility for the act, which included spray-painting slogans and damaging sections of the golf course.

The group said it “rejects Donald Trump’s treatment of Gaza as though it were his property to dispose of as he likes.”“To make that clear, we have shown him that his own property is not safe from acts of resistance,” it said in a statement.

The activists defaced resort property with graffiti, including messages such as “Gaza is not 4 sale” and “Free Palestine.” Additional damage was reported on parts of the golf course.

Police are investigating:

“Around 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, 8 March, 2025, we received a report of damage to the golf course and a premises on Maidens Road, Turnberry,” a Police Scotland spokesperson said, adding that enquiries were ongoing.”

A representative for Trump Turnberry condemned the attack, calling it a “childish, criminal act” while assuring that resort operations would continue as usual.

This act of vandalism comes in the wake of Trump’s recent press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where Trump suggested the relocation of Gaza’s Palestinian population.

“The US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do a job with it too,” Trump said during a joint conference with Netanyahu last month.Trump made the comments after meeting with the Israeli leader at the White House. Netanyahu responded, saying the idea is “worth paying attention to.”

Trump even shared an AI-created video showing Gaza under a future Trump rule.

Rather than engaging in serious debate or petitioning their governments, the protesters resorted to petty vandalism—a weak and ultimately counterproductive response to a complex geopolitical issue.

Not exactly a winning message.
