Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announced the Senate Democrats set up a portal to report government “corruption, abuses of power, and threats to public safety” in response to President Donald Trump and Elon Musk exposing government waste.

These are funny, but I predict this will also backfire in the same way the left’s attempts to tar Trump with “fake news” was instantly spun around to describe their news media.
What we’re going to see here is government employees helping DOGE by shining lights where they need to be shown. Because, seriously, how much malfeasance is being done by DOGE versus the government wasting money … 1:1,000,000?
There’s also the whole “You can’t give anyone protection outside of what whistleblower protections already exist” bit. He can claim to do so, but he can’t actually protect anyone. His activity does fall under “oversight” of the Executive branch, but that’s it.
When the d/prog choose to try and act outside the support of a closed system directly under their control they implode.
Improper food handling and preparation, The accused has posted evidence of the act to the entire world.
Do they think this is winning? Do they think this is the same as ‘doing something’? This is Chuck’s version of creating a social media site. Ridiculous.
I was really disappointed when I discovered the headline meant that Sen. Schumer was figuratively ‘torn to shreds’, not literally.
I’ve long been an advocate for the return of tarring and feathering. Like you, I saw the headline and thought “DOGE has gone straight to drawing and quartering!!!” Imagine my dismay when I realized it was just more interweb hyperbole.
Would you settle for a return to duels? IMO, bringing that back would have an immediate impact to bring down the number wild ass accusations and reduce overheated claims. Especially when coupled with not just a societal expectation to meet the challenge but a requirement for govt employees or those whose employers receive Gov’t funding IOW participate or resign.
Make it a simple affair at 10 paces, use a 4 inch non rifled barrel chambered in.22 LR. One exchange of shots or withdraw the accusation and apologize. To show inclusiveness anyone too feeble to stand both they and their opponent will use a pre positioned wheelchair. No age or gender discrimination either; every adult 18 and older is eligible.
Serious question.
Can we hold upchuck and his portal to have all the complaints investigated and any crimes found incur charges, arrests and trials?
Do I get the whistleblower 10% finder’s fee if I use Chuck’s portal rather than Elon’s?
