LIVE: Tulsi Gabbard Confirmation Hearing for Director of National Intelligence

At least the Intelligence Committee doesn’t have Sens. Whitehouse or Hirono.

Tulsi Gabbard, President Donald Trump’s nominee for director of national intelligence, has her confirmation hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee. It starts at 10 AM ET.

This should be a fun one.

This committee has Republican Sen. Susan Collins. The Democrats have Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand, Michael Bennet, and Ron Wyden.

Gabbard Won’t Call Snowden a Traitor

It worries me that so many Democrats and Republicans want Gabbard to call Edward Snowden a traitor.

If we’re gonna blast GoP Senators on this committee for dishonestly claiming the ‘conservative’ mantle then being squishy… Sen Collins ain’t the center mass of the target. She’s not anything other than she has consistently campaigned as; a moderate/centrist Country Club GoP type. No illusion, no slight of hand, no ‘growing in office’.

The bullseye/10 ring of the target would be Oklahoma’s Sen Lankford. Y’all remember him? The Senator who offered up the fig leaf of ‘bipartisanship’ for the d/prog BS ‘immigration bill’? The one the legacy media and d/prog endlessly told us Trump ordered killed?

Guys like Lankford, Cornyn of TX and Graham of SC who represent Red States with a +5 or more GoP advantage then show up and vote like they are representing a 50/50 State is where the heat should be directed IMO.

Intelligence committee? We’re in trouble.

The Dhimmi-crat Party apparatchiks can’t countenance Dhimmi-crat heretics (i.e., former Dhimmi-crats). These reprobates’ fury at people who possess the temerity to have left the Party is unhinged and unrestrained.

I don’t think the loathing of Trump/Trumpworld by the incalcitrant wing of the GOP which is most highly concentrated in the GOP Senate Caucus can be overstated. Mitch McConnell’s vote against Hegseth is a shining example of it. These imbeciles don’t want to be in the majority. In fact, they hate that Republicans are in the majority. These are people who ran as Republicans only because they couldn’t win a DNC Senate primary. They represent no less than a third of the GOP Senate caucus…maybe even half. With Hegseth only being confirmed by a vote cast by the VP, I will be surprised if Patel, Gabbard and RFK can get confirmed because these would be Trump’s most lethal – to the Deep State – change agents in his entire Administration.

Let the primarying commence immediately.

Did Tulsi Gabbard steal that outfit from “Galactica 1980” ?

She wears that outfit often

Glenn Greenwald has been uploading videos about the lies that the Deep State’s allies have been feeding to the press in preparation for Tuls Gabbard’s confirmation hearing. For example:

At this stage of the game you can’t really think the Senators want actual answers to their campaign statements, can you?

Patel was introduced as the next head of the FBI by one of the most centrist Republicans in the senate.

Gabbard may be confirmed but she is very clearly weak considering she is having trouble nobody else is.

The reason is the reasons the WSJ is highly concerned about her are all legitimate.

Visiting Damascus, falling for Hamas propaganda during the first Trump administration, and suggesting Vladimir Putin was provoked into invasion should have been the topic of the confirmation hearing.

What the Dems were really trying to do is get Tulsi to say anyone was a traitor so they could associate her with the word traitor. There’s one thing those a-holes hate more than a conservative and that’s a defector from their tyranny.

We want someone as DNI who is willing to challenge the establishment neocon orthodoxy and point out where their hubris and/or institutional blind spots exist.

FWIW Damascus is now run by terrorists since Assad was deposed, not sure that’s a very nice upgrade. Russia obviously did feel that sufficient provocations had been offered by the West and invaded Ukraine in part b/c of them.

I guess no one has a sense of sarcasm because Sheldon Whitehouse and Sheila Jackson Lee weren’t appointed to the intelligence committee.

I get your point, but Lee was a representative, not a senator. I will grant you that she has probably gotten smarter since her death.
