Pro-Hamas Radicals Terrorize Family and Vandalize Home of Jewish U. Michigan Regent

“There are other, more prominent, regents on this board who do not face this type of targeted harassment, and the reason they do not is because they are not Jewish.”

Jordan Acker is a University of Michigan regent who is Jewish. Over the course of several months, he and his family have been subjected to an ongoing campaign of terror from pro-Hamas radicals at the school.

In May, some of these people showed up at his home in the middle of the night and posted a list of demands on his door. His law office has also been vandalized.

This week, things escalated when jars of urine were thrown through a window of his home, breaking the window and waking his family in the middle of the night. Antisemitic messages were also left at the home and painted on his wife’s car.

It should be noted that throwing jars of urine is a known practice of Antifa.

The Jewish Insider reports:

University of Michigan Regent Jordan Acker faces another antisemitic attack at his home

University of Michigan Regent Jordan Acker woke early Monday morning to find that his home in Huntington Woods, a heavily Jewish suburb of Detroit, had been the target of anti-Israel vandals for the second time in just over six months. Acker’s law office was also vandalized over the summer.

During the overnight attack, a window in the Acker home was smashed and his wife’s car was graffitied with the words “divest” and “free Palestine.” In addition, authorities found fragments of a glass jar inside the house along with a foul-smelling liquid as well as a second jar outside of the home. The attack unfolded while Acker, his wife and three daughters were asleep.

“This keeps happening to my family because I’m Jewish,” Acker told Jewish Insider. “There are other, more prominent, regents on this board who do not face this type of targeted harassment, and the reason they do not is because they are not Jewish.”

Acker expressed disappointment in an interview with JI over the silence from university groups, such as The Senate Advisory Committee on University Affairs, who he said “have decided to put out statements about Gaza, and yet never put out a statement about situations like this. I haven’t heard from anyone there today. Being privately appalled doesn’t stop your students from engaging in behaviors like this. Public statements do.”

Here’s a video report from Click on Detroit:

This is no longer a local news story. As Acker suggests in the video, this is terrorism. It’s criminal activity, and even members of Congress are taking notice.

This goes way beyond suspension or even expulsion. The people behind this campaign of terror must be arrested and prosecuted.

What, no security camera footage?

Someone should ask him if he voted for this harassment. Many Jewish people are getting what they voted for.

why don’t you fly there, on your carpet, and ask him instead of posting here?

It would be faster if he just walked along a path of the BS he is pulling out of hind end. Of course he would have to sling it in front of him as he went along. No problem there. Judging from his post slinging BS should come quite easily.

Why should someone ask him that? Do tell. Because he deserves it?

Fortunately he’s not an insurance executive. Then would you say he deserves that fate? Sure sounds like it.

Gotta be fine when the Leftists out themselves like this.
Eventually you will be in competition for a job or promotion. And your boss will do a search and see your true persona.
And then you will be unemployed AND unemployable. The internet is forever.

If you mean that often a majority of the Jewish voting community supports and votes for the same political candidates as the “free-Palistine” voters, then I agree with you.

I think that’s exactly what he means. It’s not a secret that the Jews in the US vote predominantly Democrat and those people support Gaza, the terrorists etc.

        Milhouse in reply to diver64. | December 11, 2024 at 12:20 am

Most Democrats do not support Gaza, the terrorists, etc., And even of those who do, almost none support terrorism against those who disagree with them.

What a manifestly stupid comment. Truly, off-the-charts stupid.

You’re getting a lot of criticism but this behavior comes from the left. It does seem as if many Jews value being progressive above being Jewish. Where is the Jewish denouncement of the treatment this man and his familiy are experiencing? He himself says he has heard zip from the University itserlf or the U of M faculty. And they have the nerve to call Trump supporters Nazis. They should look in the mirror.

Milhouse in reply to CincyJan. | December 11, 2024 at 12:30 am

“The left” is not one thing. Right in the post you have Shri Thanedar, a Democrat congressman from just south of where the attack took place, condemning it. His own representative is Democrat Haley Stevens, who is very pro-Israel.

    JohnSmith100 in reply to jamesleeiv. | December 10, 2024 at 7:44 pm

For some reason they have been blind about what they are voting for, more are waking up. Their stupidity about this does not justify Muslim conduct in any way.

Also, a lot of white people are just as blind about the Muslim problem, and they do not understand that Muslims will eventually attack us in the same ways.

Milhouse in reply to jamesleeiv. | December 11, 2024 at 12:18 am

No one voted for this harassment. This has nothing to do with the Democrat Party. Note the last tweet embedded in the post, from Democrat Congressman Shri Thanedar.

And the gazans have gotten and will continue to get what they voted for and deserve as well. It’s a two way street now but hopefully the new administration will handle all the visa’ed keffiyeh’d up pallies by revoking their pampered stays here and 80% of the problem on campuses will be taken care of. The 20% will crawl back under their rock.

Confirmed (again): Islam is a cancer in the West.

It’s the oppression battle, repeated everywhere in the world, over the same Palestinian vs Israel oppression claims, only with less shooting and more shouting, according to local custom.

Sanctimonious losers. If they only loved Palestinians and other people as much as they hate Jews.

Time to check out some good defense measures. Motion activated sprinklers, motion flood lights with loud alarm and some warning about filming everyone blasted out. Also some setup that sprays Liquid Ass on them and maybe some sort of florescent dye when they step on your property.

AR platform rifle. Or a Mini-14 if you’re into the A-Team.

Satisfying as that would be, you cannot respond with deadly force to a non deadly force attack.
These evil People are guilty of trespassing, criminal mischief, intimidation, and possibly terroristic threats.
None of these are a deadly force attack, and you can only respond with non deadly force.
Spraying Them with hoses, pepper spray, even punching them in the face would all be legally permissible responses.
You can’t Shoot someone for trespassing, and breaking a window.

Crawford in reply to docduracoat. | December 10, 2024 at 3:11 pm

Michigan is a castle doctrine state. Someone forcibly entering the house — and breaking the windows counts — is presumed to be an imminent threat to your life.

Besides, the point of tossing in jars of urine is to make the threat that they can do the same with gasoline. You HAVE to assume they will continue to escalate.

paracelsus in reply to Crawford. | December 10, 2024 at 4:42 pm

thank you for pointing out that escalation is the key word; all you need is the tiniest spark to tip the whole crowd over the edge

broomhandle in reply to Crawford. | December 10, 2024 at 5:15 pm

This is what I wanted to ask about. If the homeowner observed the terrorists throwing the jars through their windows and then shot the assailant, what would the legal situation be (ignore for one blissful moment the out-of-control prosecutor that would attack with full force for political reasons.)

LibraryGryffon in reply to Crawford. | December 10, 2024 at 5:21 pm

And if someone in the house is on the wrong place they could be seriously injured or killed by a Mason jar of urine, or any other solid object through a window.

Milhouse in reply to Crawford. | December 11, 2024 at 12:36 am

Michigan’s law only protects you if the person has broken into the actual home, or is attempting to do so. No curtilage.

He gave an example of People v. Wafer, a case in which a young woman came to Theodore Wafer’s home in the middle of the night, pounding on his door. Wafer pulled out his rifle, shot through the door, and killed the young woman, Barone said.

“Even though he may have believed that she was about to break and enter into the home, she had not done that,” Barone said. “She was still outside the home, and he was essentially in no danger.”

JackinSilverSpring in reply to docduracoat. | December 10, 2024 at 4:59 pm

In some states you can shoot someone for trespassing. It depends if the trespasser is on the curtilage, and if the homeowner feels threatened.

        JohnSmith100 in reply to docduracoat. | December 10, 2024 at 8:04 pm

It would be easy to mix ammonia and in the sprinkler system, say 12%, the same way you add soap to a pressure washer.

Stink spray that does not wash away for weeks.

Have the police done a DNA analysis of the urine?

MSM and others keep calling these vandals “domestic terrorists.” They may be living here but how many of them are not citizens or legal residents? Are they really “non-domestic” terrorists? Foreigners sent here to attack our university system because university leadership has become so weak?

Who are these people?

    Milhouse in reply to B. | December 11, 2024 at 12:38 am

Since none of them have been caught, we don’t know. But the urine points to Antifa, and Antifa tend to be home-grown white boys from prosperous homes.

Not a long drive from Dearbornistan. All those unvetted Muslims Obama and Biden rolled into the country are having a field day.

My opinion is that the pro-Palestine movement is based on intimidation. Why else protest at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? In fact, I think Muslims throughout the West are engaging in intimidation tactics.

In France, they behead priests and teachers. Certainoy not all pf them, but enough to make a point. And French cathedrals burst into spontaneous flame. In London, the odd individual walks around with a machete and hacks away at someone. It did not take a lot of that for the London police to decide they’d rather police Facebook than the streets. I am not sure what the situation is NYC or if they even bother fighting street crime anymore, although that may be more a reaction to a left wing judicial system than any actual intimidation.

But the pro-Palestione movement on American campuses (and off when they target Jews off campus) is definately based on intimidationl. It’s just so much fun to swagger and vent, all for a good cause of course, and then you get to throw the occasional brick through a window. Again, for a good cause. And what happened in Los Angeles, when the pro-Palestinians bullies met up with wealthy and aggressive Jews??? I believe the Jewish groupss were targeted by law enforcement, although I don’t know how that turned out.

The question is whether Americans, once known for being pretty aggressive themselves, will accept this from pro-Palestinians, or actually anybody. I hope not. Traditional American society would insist on law and order for all. We’ll see how this all works out. But, as for me, I’d like to see some pro-Palestinian bullies get their noses bloodied. They’re asking for it and they deserve push-0back.
