Luigi Mangione Charged With Murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO
Mangione also faces criminal possession of a weapon (loaded firearm), possession of a forged instrument, and criminal possession of a weapon (firearm silencer).
New York City prosecutors charged Luigi Mangione with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
The murder complaint remains sealed.
Mangione also faces criminal possession of a weapon (loaded firearm), possession of a forged instrument, and criminal possession of a weapon (firearm silencer).
Mangione remains in Pennsylvania, where cops arrested him after a person recognized him at a McDonald’s.
The cops found fake IDs, a gun, and a silencer. Mangione also had a manifesto that supposedly hated corporate America and the healthcare industry for putting profits over patients.
Fox News reported it, saying: “These parasites had it coming. I do apologize for any strife and trauma, but it had to be done.”
A law enforcement agent said Mangione “refused to talk” after cops arrested him.
(Good. Do not ever speak to law enforcement without a lawyer, whether you’re guilty or innocent. Not one word.)
Law enforcement continues to seek the public’s help in gathering information on Luigi Mangione’s travel and recent whereabouts in Pennsylvania. We ask anyone with information to call 1-800-4PA-TIPS or submit a tip online at https://t.co/GheTzi0bTc. pic.twitter.com/VOP94C98CL

Missing for Months
mangione’s family said they couldn’t locate him for months earlier this year.
The San Francisco Standard reported Mangione’s mother, Kathleen, reported him missing in November:
New York police officials described Mangione as born and raised in Maryland, with ties to San Francisco, and said he lived until recently in Honolulu. He is related to a Republican lawmaker in the Maryland state government and attended Baltimore’s Gilman School, where he was valedictorian of his graduating class in 2016.
Mangione’s connection to San Francisco remains unknown, but public records suggest he may have relatives in the city. The shooter is suspected of wearing a backpack designed in San Francisco.
In a statement posted to Facebook Monday night, the family said it is “devastated” by the news about Luigi.
“Unfortunately, we cannot comment on news reports regarding Luigi Mangione. We only know what we have read in the media,” the statement read. “Our family is shocked and devastated by Luigi’s arrest. We offer our prayers to the family of Brian Thompson and we ask people to pray for all involved.”

Chuck had a forged instrument called a Flügelhorn, and it felt so right.
Luigi’s mistake was not immediately fleeing to The Hill Where The Lord Hides.
Or hiding in the Mega Lo Mart.
Feels so good…
When he needs doctor he shows up at hospital ER waving gun around?
There is historical precedent for the phenomenon of privileged children in the west, and, in the middle east, turning into radicals/terrorists to gain self-perceived approbation, plaudits and legitimacy. Narcissists who are eager to prove that they’re allegedly more than silver spoon-fed elites, that they’re down with the “struggle,” be it Islamofascist, communist or racial in nature.
Whereupon they are applauded publicly and glorified by other sliver spoon-elites such as Taylor Lorenz.
Lorenz is evil. Her ravings expressing glee at Mr. Thompson’s murder are demented and psychotic.
Try to tell that to people about the 9/11 attackers, and they will look at you cross-eyed. They simply won’t believe it.
Well, they should start with bin Laden, who came from an extremely wealthy and influential Saudi Arabian family, and, who grew up in total privilege.
But, it’s true — facts don’t matter to the vile, stupid and dishonest Dhimmi-crats and leftists. As the entire fictional mythology surrounding the Arab invaders from Arabia — who’ve rebranded themselves as s0-called “Palestinians,” co-opting a word that was coined by the ancient Romans in reference to the Philistines (as a triumphant insult to the Jews, after the Romans had conquered Judaea) — amply demonstrates.
SO DISAPPOINTED this vermin wasn’t terminated while evading capture. We’ll now have to take care of the POS for decades.
The chances this Ivy League cupcake survives decades in a maximum security prison in New York state are…remote.
Given what is likely going to happen to him if he’s put in gen pop, he probably will wish someone would just kill him.
Let’s see how OBAMACARE plays into this.
Will prospective jurors be asked about their health insurance provider?
I’m not too sure about that. All I know is that in the trial of Luigi any prospective juror named Mario will be eliminated.
Fur shure!
Fur shure!
Same for anyone named “Sacco” or “Vanzetti.”
Nice oblique reference.
Corporate America got him an education and a nice Richie Rich life. What was he so upset about? Apparently, the ceo was from a middle class background and worked his way up the corporate ladder. Maybe the ceo should have shot Richie Rich.
Obama never promised, “if you like your CEO, you can keep your CEO.”
“…had a manifesto that supposedly hated corporate America and the healthcare industry for putting profits over patients.”
Weird, how it tooks months of dogged investigations and requests to obtain even an tiny bit of info contained in some mass murdering tranny terrorist’s manifesto, or worse, the nothing we know about the motives behind the largest mass murder in US history commited by that Paddock guy in Las Vegas 7 years ago.
Yet, here it is less than a week later, and the public knows everything about this escapee from mario kart who (allegedly) commited one murder.
Seth Rich could not be reached for comment.
He knew he would likely be caught and his “get out of a bad jail” card was the manifesto. The Left and violence go hand in hand.
Kaiser’s Maxim remains undefeated: “The left will always, eventually, resort to violence, threats of violence, or glorification of violence to advance their agenda. Always.”
“the largest mass murder in US history committed by that Paddock guy in Las Vegas 7 years ago.”
Just so you know, it was nowhere NEAR the largest.
Happy Land Social club (1990) was larger, followed by Waco, the Murrah Building, and 9/11, each larger than the previous.
Three people meet at the Pearly Gates. St. Peter asked the first person what he did to get to Heaven. He said he was a fireman and saved several children from a burning house but died going back for one more child. ST. Peter said..”Welcome to Heaven”. The second said she had been a misionary doctor in Africa and caught Eboli trying to save those infected that had no care. St Peter said, Welcome to Heaven”. The third was an executive that said that he had been a head of a large insurance company and had worked with the Obama administration on managed care. St Peter said, “Welcome to Heaven, access is limited to three days”.
I’ll state at the outset, I’m pretty certain Mangione is the killer. No professional hit man, simply an amateur done in by hubris. He made lots of mistakes like not disposing of the gun asap, and carrying a manifesto, along with a bunch of phony IDs. He shouldn’t have used a gray backpack making him easier to track, although the high res surveillance cameras would have tracked him in anyway. We have a guy who is not as smart as he thinks he is. Now he will pay a high price.
All the “expert” opinions about the gun circulating on the Internet were dead wrong. The actual gun is far more prosaic. Well, as (dirty) Harry Callahan famously said: “opinions are like assholes, everybody’s got one, and they all stink.”
If the NYPD had caught him, I’d be far more skeptical. They frame the innocent all the time. One detective was caught and convicted of a frame up to get the federal rewards for drug arrests. He said this is routine. Yes they plant evidence on people. Not just NYC. Over in NJ, an innocent person accidentally parked his car right near a house which was the site of a drug bust. The police reflexively planted drugs in his car trunk. Fortunately nothing happened to him. The police were not embarrassed, just business as usual.
Still, through all of that, support your police. And teach your children that police officers are their friends.
Fake IDs, manifesto, etc. shows planning. That rules out the insanity defense. No death penalty in NY. So life without parole.
No such thing as “life without parole”. This miscreants always get let out eventually.
“Insanity” doesn’t mean “stupid” or incapable of planning a crime without realizing it’s wrong. But his defense will probably work the “personal pain” angle if his spine X-ray means what everyone thinks it means.
see my comment below….
I could only look on phone but spine film was a garden variety fusion with instrumentation. That view looks bad but consider that screws are probably 2 inches lateral to midline. Context is everything and why you never go anywhere with only one plane of view. Just sayin.
Pardon him too and appease the masses.
His new found internet fan girls would love it.
“Good. Do not ever speak to law enforcement without a lawyer, whether you’re guilty or innocent. Not one word.”
If you’re the talkative type, watch this video at lease once a year so the message burns into your skull:

“also had a manifesto that supposedly hated corporate America and the healthcare industry for putting profits over patients.”
Isn’t it funny how Communists and Socialists never start up a company that follows their principles to take all the business away from the hated Corporates and put ‘patients before profits’; isn’t it!
Well, actually, here in Austrailia there have been several cases where unions tried to set up businesses to do just that. They all went bankrupt in short order!
He had congenital or early age loss of stability of his back which progressed to requiring surgery. Sometimes doors are closed to the past as was the case here and he just couldn’t give up his privileged lifestyle. Weird drugs were used which can unmask underlying mental problems. His defense will be insanity. Fine… spend the rest of his life with “supervised care” in the pen… quickly forget him as worthless. It can’t undo the pain of loss from what he did. But we can hope that each day from now on will not be worthwhile.
said he lived until recently in Honolulu
Hmmm, haven’t we had more than one person with a gun recently who lived in Hawaii at some point? /tinfoil
Also saw somewhere else he’s been charged with second degree murder? What is up with that? This is one of the clearest cases of premeditation ever seen.
