Brzezinski, Scarborough Meet With Trump, Promise to ‘Restart Communications’
Yeah, right. I’ll believe it when I see it.
Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski met with President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago last week.
The hosts promised to “restart communications.” I’ll believe it when I see it. I do not believe any of this is genuine:
Over the past week, Joe and I have heard from so many people, from political leaders to regular citizens deeply dismayed by several of President-elect Trump’s cabinet selections, and they are scared. Last Thursday, we expressed our own concerns on this broadcast and even said we would appreciate the opportunity to speak with the president elect himself on Friday. We were given the opportunity to do just that. Joe and I went to Mar a Lago to meet personally with President elect Trump. It was the first time we have seen him in seven years.
Now, we talked about a lot of issues including abortion, mass deportation, threats of political retribution against political opponents, and media outlets. We talked about that a good bit, and it’s going to come as no surprise to anybody who watches this show, has watched it over the past year or over the past decade, that we didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of issues, and we told him so.
What we did agree on was to restart communications. My father often spoke with world leaders with whom he in the United States profoundly disagreed.
That’s a task shared by reporters and commentators alike. We had not spoken to President Trump since March of 2020 other than a personal call Joe made to Trump on the morning after the attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania.
In this meeting, President Trump was tearful. He was upbeat. He seemed interested in finding common ground with Democrats on some of the most divisive issues.
And for those asking why we would go speak to the president elect during such fraught times, especially between us, I guess I would ask back, “Why wouldn’t we?” Five years of political warfare has deeply divided Washington and the country. We have been as clear as we know how in expressing our deep concerns about President Trump’s actions and words in the coarsening of public debate, but for nearly 80 million Americans, election denialism, public trials, January 6 were not as important as the issues that moved them to send Donald Trump back to the White House with their vote.
Joe and I realized it’s time to do something different. And that starts with not only talking about Donald Trump, but also talking with him

It sounds like Joe and Mika had a respectful conversation with Trump. This reminds me of my late boss, Andrew Breitbart. People hated him, but when they met him, they ended up liking him. It’s so weird how that happens.
Anyway, I’m not shocked. MSNBC’s ratings fell by 51% after Trump won. Comcast might even drop the network.
So, I 100% do not believe any of this is genuine. Someone at MSNBC made Joe and Mika do this.
I do not think Joe and Mika believe any of this. There is no way that they would acknowledge on their own that we normies care about the economy and issues that directly affect us and don’t care about denialism, the trials, or January 6th.

That is a big mistake.
Trump should tell them to go to hell. Nothing positive will come from “restart communications” whatever it means.
“Keep your enemies close ….”
Eliminate your enemies and then you don’t have to keep them close. Prevents them from stabbing you in the back at an unexpected moment.
Go to Hell with a Trump-sized footprint in their ass!
Let their show just die. No one is watching it anyways. The hell with them.
The sentiment held by the left is known in how it manifests itself in social media posts.
There is zero chance of “go along to get along” mentality going forth, as they will not change their behavior one bit and are lying to avoid punishment…just like toddlers.

This morning on the couple of minutes of their show I could stomach, it was all “Trump is Hitler” as usual. Even though the only Party that has its political enemies in jail is the Democrats Party. President Trump would do well to totally avoid the propaganda media. These liars don’t deserve interviews.
There is no upside to cooperating with the lying press. None.
They are going to say what they are going to say, with you or without you.
If it’s with you, you are simply legitimizing your own destruction.
The reason “regular citizens” are scared and dismayed about cabinet picks— or just about anything— is because the media incites panic. This is why half of Americans were terrified of Covid.

MSNBC is circling the drain and even if an angel comes along and scoops it up these two blithering idiots will be the first ones out the door.

If these posers advance the ball even an inch they serve his purpose. I feel confident that DJT understands who is and isn’t a viper and that he will make use of them so long as they prove useful then cut them off when they try to turn and strike.
This is self-preservation of their jobs. They know that their audience has moved on and does not want four more years of Hitler. I do not know what their show will be like, but it won’t be the same as it has been for eight years. They and their sick partners like Reid and Maddow have no where to go.
Waste of time. Joe and Mika are paid to hate Trump and by extension, us..

They will alter their spiel to get access. These lickspittles just want to keep a prosperous gig going.
We shall see. If their violent rhetoric changes over night to being NOT violent and hateful then something has obviously changed.

Like talking with Kim, people can’t say he didn’t try to establish communication. Results are secondary and can’t be had at all without the attempt.

If this is true and Trump met with these two vicious clowns I’m not happy. It’s a terrible sign. Trump has to try harder to be a serious person. You seriously don’t see an upside to this for President Trump? Seems to me there is a fair amount of political capital to be gained here.
He tried. He met with them, on his home turf. They are trying to sound magnanimous, saying they want to restart communication – but he comes out of this showing, once again, that he is willing to meet with anybody. That is what made him so likable during his campaign!

The two of them are the spitting images of Beavis and Butthead. Never got to watch the show, so I still have to look up which one is which.
Mika and Joe behave as if Trump were supposed to grovel and apologize to them. They are responsible for some of the most vicious rhetoric about him, and have been attacking him for 8 years. Instead of whining about potential political retribution, they should be clearing the record about the partisan attacks on him, culminating in two assassination attempts, driven by nothing more than left wing hate.
MSNBC’s entire shtick is to be as dramatically far left as possible. Their remaining audience of lunatics will demand wall-to-wall “Trump=Hitler” for the next four years. Those two have nothing to offer Trump that they can actually deliver.
I heard a great response to this clip this morning on the Hugh Hewitt show (prayers for Hugh).
I don’t know who the host was but to paraphrase: “So let me get this straight, they have spent years pushing Trump as the ultimate evil, worse than the worst in our history, they have attacked his family, and pretty much anyone aligned with Trump as evil. So after all of that they want to open communications with that ultimate evil? Shouldn’t that tell you something about their ‘principles’ right there?”
I don’t want to hear from them–they spent the last 4 years literally calling Trump and his supporters Hitler and Nazis, and now when he has a mandate to change things, they want to talk? Most prostitutes have more principles than that
Off topic, but I believe on point, I suggest that when your woke relatives tell you they’re not going to invite you over for the holidays, you should pretend to be hurt, and ask them if they won’t change their mind, please. Then, go on with your life and hang around with people who aren’t deranged psychopaths who might put aqua velva or whatever the hell it is in your eggnog.
During the few minutes of their show show my wife forced me to watch—following the Mar-a-Lago visit—these two propagandists were right back to the “Trump is Hitler” Party line—talking about how to mount resistance and protect “our democracy” (read leftist power). Same old lies. Zero self awareness that the Democrat Party is the only one with political enemies in jail or under attack via Stasi-like methods. I admire President Trump for the effort, but all it proves is leftist filth cling bitterly to their lies.
